The next morning, Ye Tian got up early and, after greeting Leng Wanli, eagerly set off towards the location of yesterday's Beast War.

After surveying the area without finding anything unusual, Ye Tian furrowed his brow, beginning to doubt whether he had imagined it.

Just as Ye Tian was about to leave again, the sound of the Thunder Lizard rang out clearly once more.
His pupils constricted sharply; this sound confirmed for Ye Tian that he was not imagining things.

Ye Tian slowly walked forward and unknowingly arrived at the top of a protruding hillock. The soil was soft, and stepping on it felt somewhat sunken.

The sound echoed again, but this time it felt as if it was ringing right beside his ear!

"That was close!"
A chill ran down Ye Tian's back as he felt a twinge of fear for having stood on the back of this giant beast just moments ago.

The Giant Thunder Lizard swung its massive head, its blood-red eyes, the size of grinding wheels, glaring fiercely at the tiny human who dared to stand on it.
Instinctively taking two steps back, Ye Tian let out a soft exclamation.
Bang bang bang bang bang...
A series of muffled sounds echoed around him, and golden light suddenly flickered. Among this golden light, the Bagua Xuan Yuan Shield appeared, surrounding him and swirling continuously.
Upon seeing this scene, the Giant Thunder Lizard seemed even more enraged. Its Blood-Red Maw opened and closed a couple of times, as if preparing to attack.
Furrowing his brows, Ye Tian reacted almost instinctively. The moment it opened its mouth, he shot away several meters and did not stop there; as soon as he landed, he leaped again until he was over ten meters away before daring to halt.
Such a reaction from Ye Tian was not overly dramatic because he had witnessed the Giant Thunder Lizard's attacks before. The terrifying destructive power was best evidenced by the ruins that spanned ten miles around them.

However, the enormous Lightning Ball did not appear. Instead, after opening and closing its Blood-Red Maw a few times, the creature fell silent and let out two huffs through its nostrils, releasing a cloud of white vapor.
"Could it be that this guy is injured?"
Doubt arose in Ye Tian's mind as he began to take cautious steps closer to it.

Seeing this tiny human daring to approach, the Giant Thunder Lizard immediately let out a warning hiss.
The footsteps paused for a moment. Even though Ye Tian noticed something was off with the Giant Thunder Lizard, he decided to proceed with caution.

White vapor erupted from its nostrils again, but after this exhalation, the Giant Thunder Lizard's eyes slowly drooped as if weighed down by fatigue.
"Is it running out of energy...?"
Seeing this, Ye Tian muttered to himself and began to examine it closely.
His gaze swept over its massive head; aside from the evident weariness in its eyes, he did not notice anything unusual.

His gaze continued downward. After scanning its head, he noticed that aside from a few spots covered in dust that made it look somewhat disheveled, its enormous body was covered in azure-blue scales that shimmered ominously amidst the swirling dust. Although it remained still, it was still a terrifying presence.

Ye Tian suddenly felt something and immediately fixed his gaze on the areas covered in dust.
"All of its scales are bright and clean; why are only those few spots dirty? Could it be that...?"
With this thought, Ye Tian's figure abruptly moved toward the body of the Giant Thunder Lizard.

The Giant Thunder Lizard let out a low hiss, seemingly warning the tiny human not to infringe upon its territory.

It likely hadn't moved all night, which explained why it was covered in a thick layer of dust—so much so that Ye Tian had mistaken it for a small hillock.

An unusual sensation suddenly came from beneath his feet. The Giant Thunder Lizard seemed to sense the chilling killing intent as it struggled violently a few times before finally tilting its massive head, falling silent.
"Is it dead...?"
Ye Tian jumped down from its body with an expressionless face. He felt no ripple in his heart at the death of this formidable creature that had likely existed for hundreds of years.
Blue electric light flickered in his palm as Ye Tian slowly approached the vital area of the Giant Thunder Lizard.
It was easy to deduce that such an incredibly powerful beast must possess a Spirit Beast Inner Pill within its body.
