Surviving from the Primeval era, there is only one type of dragon with golden-red scales, and that is the Crimson Dragon!
The Fourth Master possesses the Blood Exchange and Marrow Transformation Technique, which is of a high grade, and he has naturally heard of the Crimson Dragon Golden Blood. It is an extremely powerful existence, and if activated successfully, its power would far exceed the blood of the Moon-Eating Mad Tiger within him.
Furrowing his brows, the Fourth Master looked at Ye Tian with a glimmer of unusual light in his eyes.
"What's wrong? You don't believe me?" Ye Tian's tone was provocative; he was willing to take a gamble. He was certain that the Fourth Master had knowledge of the Crimson Dragon Golden Blood. Since he understood it, he would inevitably weigh it in his mind, and the outcome would boil down to two possibilities.
First, he would retreat with his subordinates, believing himself to be no match for Ye Tian. This was what Ye Tian hoped to see and the purpose of this gamble.
Second, he simply did not believe that Ye Tian possessed the Crimson Dragon Golden Blood. After all, the Crimson Dragon is a Primordial Divine Beast; how could a seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy like Ye Tian possibly obtain the blood of such a divine beast?
Third, he might believe that Ye Tian had the Crimson Dragon Golden Blood but deduce that Ye Tian's current strength could not activate it. Moreover, since the Blood Exchange and Marrow Transformation Technique allows for arbitrary exchange of blood within one's body, if the Fourth Master was certain of this point, then today's battle would be a fight to the death. Because under the temptation of the Crimson Dragon Golden Blood, someone like the Fourth Master would definitely not give up.
Aside from the first point, the remaining two were not what Ye Tian wanted to see. However, given the current situation, there was no choice. The Fourth Master clearly possessed the Blood Sect Secret Technique; even if all seven of them joined forces, victory was not guaranteed. Therefore, he could only take a risk. If he could scare off his opponent, that would be best; if not, it would only intensify the Fourth Master's desire to kill him. After all, he never intended to let Ye Tian go.
"Of course I don't believe you." The Fourth Master laughed heartily, his tone filled with mockery. After all, such a thing was too absurd. He had never seen a Crimson Dragon but had read about it in classic texts. As a Primordial Divine Beast, he had never heard of anyone obtaining its blood. Even among high-ranking members of the Blood Sect and Dark Dragon, it seemed no one had acquired divine beast blood.
It should be noted that those based on the Blood Exchange and Marrow Transformation Technique had an extremely large team serving them; even so, they could not obtain divine beast blood. It was even more unlikely for this boy who only had Martial Mastery.
The fact that his opponent did not believe him was not necessarily a bad thing; however, Ye Tian did not feel that way. Not being able to scare off his opponent meant that today would lead to a bitter battle. Ye Tian was not afraid of hard battles but knew his limitations; relying solely on himself could not hold this entrance. If they lost control of this entrance, their companions hiding inside would suffer.
After all, not everyone among them had the ability to protect themselves, and in such circumstances, Ye Tian could not ensure everyone's safety.
At this point, staying here would only be futile effort; thus, Ye Tian decisively decided to retreat and regroup with his companions for further discussion.
At the same time that Ye Tian made his decision, the Fourth Master below also took action. He exchanged glances with a person beside him, who immediately gave orders. Soon, the crowd stirred, and more than ten people surged forward towards the cave entrance.
Based on their speed and movement, Ye Tian assessed that they were merely around Nine-Dan Warriors, not worth fearing at all.
With a cold sneer, Ye Tian thought that since the Fourth Master had not yet shown any signs of personally intervening, it would be better to deal with these ten or so individuals before retreating.
With this in mind, Ye Tian decided not to delay any longer. He changed his hand gestures, and the Bagua Thunder Seal erupted forth.
Although it was just an unenhanced Bagua Thunder Seal, it was more than enough to handle these opponents. Ye Tian glanced at the terrified crowd rushing towards the cave entrance and turned to leave.
Just as he moved his feet, several explosive sounds erupted behind him. It was clear that the Bagua Thunder Seal had not dissipated after destroying one person's body; instead, it continued to pierce through and kill the Loyal Minions who had to line up due to the narrowness of the cave entrance.
Hearing the sounds, a mocking smile reappeared on Ye Tian's lips. Since the Fourth Master insisted on sending his subordinates to their deaths, how could Ye Tian not oblige?
He turned around and continued to rush forward. However, at that moment, a tremendous force suddenly surged from behind him. From the sensation of power alone, he could tell that the person exerting it was definitely no weaker than himself in terms of Martial Sovereign strength.
Ye Tian's pupils constricted slightly as he quickly turned around and thrust out a palm. Amidst the dazzling golden light, he saw the face of his opponent.
The newcomer was one of the two large men who had disappeared earlier; he had somehow stealthily entered the cave!
Bang!
Their palms collided with a thunderous sound, and energy rippled outward, striking against the cave walls and causing debris to fall.
The large man's fist was enveloped in a layer of purple light, but under the brilliance of Ye Tian's Bagua Thunder Palm, it vanished instantly. Then, he was sent flying backward like a falling star.
Bang!
Another loud sound echoed as the big man crashed against the cave wall, the tremendous force of the Thunder Palm causing debris to fly everywhere.
However, this person's defensive martial arts seemed quite formidable. After landing, he quickly scrambled to his feet. Aside from a twisted expression on his face, he appeared to have sustained no serious injuries.
Ye Tian frowned as he glanced at him, thinking, "This person is difficult to deal with; I cannot engage him in close combat. The best strategy is to shake him off."
The big man seemed to sense Ye Tian's intentions. After twitching his lips a couple of times, he lunged forward again. This time, Ye Tian clearly saw that not only were his fists involved in the attack, but his entire body was enveloped in a layer of purple light.
"This must be a type of martial arts similar to the Xu Family Divine Eagle Combat Body," Ye Tian thought. The Martial Arts of the Battle Body were not common but had high practical combat effectiveness, belonging to a type that integrated offense and defense.
"Ugh!" The big man roared as the purple light erupted from his iron fist, sending a meteor-like purple energy fist towards Ye Tian's head.
Ye Tian did not dare to underestimate it. Although the Bagua Xuan Yuan Shield should be able to block this strike, he chose to dodge instead.
The fist shadow missed its target and crashed into the cave wall beside Ye Tian, causing the cave to tremble violently and creating a deep pit where it struck.
The big man, undeterred by his missed attack, launched another offensive. This time, he unleashed a flurry of punches, each one tearing through the air with incredible speed and precision.
"Hmph!" Ye Tian snorted coldly. In truth, taking this man's life would not be difficult; it would just take some time. However, he was eager to regroup with everyone else and did not want to waste time.
With a swift push off his toes, Ye Tian activated the Yuqi Tayan Jue. The path inside the cave was relatively straight, allowing him to move without obstruction. He landed again thirty zhang away.
The fist shadows generated by the big man once again struck empty air. Since he had aimed for Ye Tian's head, after Ye Tian dodged, they soared diagonally upward and ultimately slammed into the upper cave wall, creating a series of explosive sounds as several large rocks fell from the ceiling.
The boulder crashed to the ground, instantly blocking the road. Although this boulder could not stop the man, it would still take him some time to deal with it, causing him to let out an angry shout.
Ye Tian sneered at the sight and then rushed deeper into the cave with all his might.
After his earlier exploration, Ye Tian had a decent understanding of the cave's structure. The cave was about ten miles deep, and he had already traveled about a mile, estimating that a fork in the path was approaching.
Sure enough, moments later, three paths appeared ahead. Without hesitation, Ye Tian darted into the left one. He and Yun'er had already explored these three paths; the left and middle ones were merely shallow caves that would hit a dead end in less than half a mile.
The cave wall of the path Ye Tian was currently on had many side tunnels, some as large as a room and others no bigger than a doghouse. Moreover, there were many animal bones scattered throughout the cave, indicating that this place had once been a settlement.
Of course, this was based on his previous exploration; right now, the cave passage was pitch black, making it impossible to see anything around him.
According to earlier instructions, Yun'er should have led everyone to hide in several side tunnels not far ahead for emergencies.
After walking for a while in the echoing cave, Ye Tian heard an explosion sound from behind. It seemed that the boulder blocking the way had been blown apart, and Fourth Master’s people had begun to enter in large numbers.
“Yun'er, Sister Ningyue…” Ye Tian called out softly. Due to the numerous side tunnels in the cave walls, he couldn't remember their exact locations.
“Over here.” A voice came from about ten yards ahead; it was Yun'er.
Ye Tian quickly walked toward the source of the voice while Yun'er lit a firecracker, illuminating the area ahead.
“Are you okay?” Yun'er came out to meet him, asking with concern.
Ye Tian shook his head and said seriously, “You all need to hide well. No matter what happens, do not come out. I will lead them to another cave. When I shout loudly as a signal, take advantage of the chaos to escape.”
Yun'er seemed not to hear Ye Tian speaking, but instead scrutinized him in the faint light of the fire stick, repeatedly confirming whether he was truly uninjured.
After all, they had all heard the earlier Thunderous Sounds, and given the overwhelming number of enemies, it was fortunate that Ye Tian managed to retreat safely, but it was also illogical.
"Did you hear what I said?" Ye Tian waved the fire stick aside and continued, "I'm really fine. Their leader didn't take action; I killed some Loyal Minions and took the opportunity to come over."
Yun'er was half-convinced, but Ye Tian's tone and the steady Footsteps he made indicated that he indeed had no injuries, even if he were slightly hurt, it was nothing serious.
"What did you just say?" Yun'er had been focused on checking if Ye Tian was injured and hadn't clearly heard his words.
Ye Tian frowned and repeated himself, then urged, "There's no time to waste; it's up to you now. I'm leaving!"
"No way, I'm going with you!" Yun'er grabbed Ye Tian's arm, her eyes shimmering. From Ye Tian's tone, she sensed the strength of the enemy and the danger he was about to face.
"You'll only be a hindrance to me." Ye Tian shot a cold glance at Yun'er and shook off her hand.
Yun'er understood that Ye Tian was deliberately saying this to keep her away from danger, and a warm feeling surged in her heart. After a moment of happy daze, she reached out again to grab Ye Tian.
But in that brief moment of hesitation, Ye Tian had already used Yuqi Tayan Jue to swiftly escape over thirty feet away.
The light from the fire stick was indeed limited; Yun'er could no longer see Ye Tian's figure. Ahead, faintly came the sound of clustered Footsteps and the occasional clinking of swords against the cave walls, plunging the cave into an atmosphere of oppressive tension and danger.
