Uncle Wang looked at Lu Yunting, hesitating to speak. Finally, he let out a long sigh, "Alas, young master, I know your mind is made up, but I must remind you that going to the Interstellar News Agency now is undoubtedly walking into a trap."
"Even if there are mountains of knives and seas of fire ahead, I will charge in!" Lu Yunting's eyes blazed with fierce anger. "Zhao Tianlong thinks he can cover up the truth by controlling all the media. I want him to know that the truth will eventually come out!"
Seeing that Lu Yunting was determined, Uncle Wang stopped trying to dissuade him and silently walked to the driver's seat, opened the car door, and sat down. "Young master, get in the car."
An hour later, the black sedan stopped in front of the Interstellar News Agency Building. Lu Yunting pushed open the car door, and a chilling wind rushed in, lifting the corners of his coat.
He looked up at the once-bustling newspaper building. At this moment, the main entrance was tightly shut, and the curtains were drawn, giving it an unusually desolate appearance. Only the two stone lions at the entrance remained imposing.
"Young master, this atmosphere feels off; we should leave," Uncle Wang said quietly from behind Lu Yunting, his tone laced with unease.
Lu Yunting said nothing and walked straight toward the newspaper's entrance with firm and powerful steps.
As he approached, a strong smell of blood assaulted his senses. Lu Yunting's heart sank as he suddenly pushed open the newspaper's door.
With a creak, the door swung open to reveal a scene of devastation: various documents and office supplies were scattered across the floor, several computers lay overturned with shattered screens flickering ominously. The air was thick with a nauseating stench of blood that sent chills down one's spine.
"It seems we are too late," Lu Yunting said, his face darkening ominously as a cold glint appeared in his eyes.
"Young master, be careful!" Uncle Wang suddenly shouted as he forcefully pushed Lu Yunting aside.
Almost simultaneously, a shadow descended from above, wielding a sharp blade aimed directly at where Lu Yunting had just stood.
Lu Yunting was pushed to the ground by Uncle Wang, narrowly avoiding a deadly blow. He looked up to see a man dressed in black, wearing a mask that revealed only his cold, ruthless eyes, standing not far away, staring at them coldly.
"Who are you?" Lu Yunting asked as he got up from the ground and brushed off the dust, his tone icy.
The man in black did not answer; he merely sneered and charged at them again with a sharp blade.
"Young Master, you go first. I'll hold him off!" Uncle Wang positioned himself in front of Lu Yunting, drawing a dagger from his waist to confront the man in black.
The man in black was clearly skilled, launching fierce attacks that gradually put Uncle Wang at a disadvantage, leaving him wounded in multiple places.
Seeing this, Lu Yunting's eyes widened with anger. He dashed forward and engaged the man in black in combat.
The two exchanged blows, neither side gaining the upper hand for a moment.
At that moment, hurried footsteps approached, and dozens of fully armed Interstellar Police rushed in from outside, led by Bai Zhi.
"Stop! Everyone drop your weapons!" Bai Zhi shouted, raising her energy gun and aiming it at the man in black.
Realizing that escape was unlikely today, the man in black turned to flee.
Lu Yunting would not let him get away easily. He swiftly blocked the man's path and coldly said, "Want to leave? Not so easy!"
"You're asking for death!" the man in black roared as he launched another attack at Lu Yunting.
Lu Yunting sidestepped the attack and delivered a powerful punch to the man's abdomen. The man let out a muffled groan as he was sent flying backward, crashing into the office desk behind him.
"Arrest him!" Bai Zhi commanded, and several Interstellar Police immediately rushed forward to subdue the man in black.
Lu Yunting stepped in front of the man in black and yanked off his mask, revealing a familiar face.
"It's you!" Lu Yunting said through gritted teeth.
"Lu Yunting, you won't get any information from me!" The man in black glared fiercely at Lu Yunting.
Lu Yunting ignored him and turned to Bai Zhi, saying, "Officer Bai, I'll leave this to you."
"Don't worry, I'll handle it," Bai Zhi nodded, signaling his subordinates to take the man in black away.
Lu Yunting walked over to Uncle Wang and asked with concern, "Uncle Wang, how are you?"
Uncle Wang covered his bleeding arm and shook his head. "I'm fine, young master. As long as you're okay."
"It's all my fault for getting you involved," Lu Yunting said regretfully.
"Young master, what are you saying? Protecting you is my duty," Uncle Wang shook his head. "It's just a pity that we came here for nothing this time."
Lu Yunting approached the only intact computer and pressed the power button. The screen lit up, displaying a line of text:
"To seek the truth, come find me at Interstellar Prison!"
