"Are you okay?" Bai Zhi asked with concern, signaling the police officers behind her to take control of the situation.
"I'm fine," Lu Yunting shook his head, pointing at Uncle Wang on the ground, gritting his teeth as he said, "But Uncle Wang..."
"Don't worry, we will take him to the best hospital. He will be fine," Bai Zhi continued. "The instruments in my mother's lab also detected traces of that unknown liquid, which is identical to the poison produced by a biopharmaceutical company under Zhao Tianlong!"
"Besides that, I found several witnesses who can testify that Zhao Tianlong had repeatedly threatened my mother, demanding she hand over the results of her Gene Therapy research, but she refused every time!" "Who are you? How dare you interfere in our affairs?" The leading burly man’s expression darkened upon seeing Bai Zhi and the others.
"We are the Interstellar Police Force. You are under arrest for multiple charges including murder and kidnapping!" Bai Zhi raised her Laser Gun, aiming it at the leading burly man.
"Interstellar Police Force? How did you find this place?" The leading burly man's face changed drastically; he realized that today's events were unlikely to end well.
"Hmph, the net of heaven is vast and wide; nothing escapes its grasp! Zhao Tianlong's crimes are evident!" As soon as Bai Zhi finished speaking, the door to the conference room was suddenly pushed open. A dozen officers in black uniforms entered in succession, led by a tall man with piercing eyes.
"Captain of the Interstellar Police Force, Li Yi!" A reporter in the audience recognized the newcomer and gasped quietly.
Sitting on the podium, Lu Yunting finally revealed a faint smile at this scene; he knew he had made the right bet.
Li Yi walked up to Lu Yunting and nodded slightly in acknowledgment. He then turned to face the reporters below and said in a deep voice, "Dear media friends, I am Captain Li Yi of the Interstellar Police Force. We have received reports that Interstellar Empire Tycoon Zhao Tianlong is suspected of multiple serious criminal cases. We now possess solid evidence and will arrest him according to the law!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the previously noisy conference room fell silent, with not even a pin drop heard. All the reporters held their breath, unable to believe their ears.
"Zhao Tianlong, do you have anything to say?" Li Yi's gaze was sharp as he scanned the pale-faced Zhao Tianlong beside him and asked sternly.
Zhao Tianlong took a deep breath, trying hard to remain calm. He suppressed his inner panic and forced a smile as he said, "Captain Li, I believe there must be some misunderstanding here. How could I…"
"Misunderstanding?" Lu Yunting suddenly stood up, interrupting Zhao Tianlong's words. He pointed at Zhao Tianlong and shouted angrily, "Zhao Tianlong, do you still want to quibble? Zhao Tianlong's expression changed, a hint of malice flashing in his eyes. He gritted his teeth and said, "Lu Yunting, don't slander me! What evidence do you have to prove it was me?"
"Evidence? Of course I have!" Lu Yunting sneered. He pulled out a USB drive from his pocket and held it high. "Inside here are videos of you instructing your subordinates to kill my mother, recordings of you threatening those witnesses, and evidence of all your crimes over the years! Today, I will bring you to justice and comfort my mother's spirit!"
After saying this, Lu Yunting threw the USB drive to Li Yi. Li Yi caught it and plugged it into the display screen behind him. Instantly, shocking images and recordings began playing on the large screen in the conference room.
"No... this is impossible! This is all fake!" Zhao Tianlong's face turned ashen at this sight. He shook his head frantically in denial, but it was already too late.
"Take him away!" Li Yi commanded, and the detectives behind him rushed forward to subdue Zhao Tianlong.
"Lu Yunting, you won't die a good death! Even as a ghost, I won't let you go!" As Zhao Tianlong was escorted out of the conference room, he glared fiercely at Lu Yunting, his eyes filled with resentment.
Lu Yunting ignored Zhao Tianlong's curse. He watched Zhao Tianlong being taken away, his eyes showing no signs of emotion, only endless sorrow.
