Chapter 49: Brother, Come Save Me
After Xiao Yun was convinced that there was nothing of value left underground, he prepared to leave Phoenix City.
In the morning, the hotel was usually empty. Xiao Yun walked into Liu Ziyan's office with his hands in his pockets, swaying slightly, and saw her and Han Xing frowning as if discussing something.
When Xiao Yun entered, Liu Ziyan looked up at him and exclaimed, "Oh! Mr. Xiao, you usually stay locked up in your room. What brings you here today?"
"Hehe," Xiao Yun replied lightly with a smile, "I've been staying here for several days and must have disturbed you two lovely ladies. I especially want to thank Han Xing for her help. Fortunately, there will be plenty of time in the future to repay you!"
Hearing that he was here to say goodbye, Liu Ziyan felt a sudden heaviness in her heart. However, Han Xing did not think much of it; she playfully asked Xiao Yun, "So, Brother Xiao, how do you plan to repay us?"
Xiao Yun gazed at Han Xing's charming face and grinned mischievously, "Well, I've already thought about it. I might just take you as my own!"
"You..." Han Xing's face flushed red. Inside, she felt both shy and delighted, wondering if his words meant he would acknowledge her as his girlfriend in the future.
Thinking this way, she couldn't help but steal a glance at Xiao Yun, her heart racing, unsure of how to respond.
Seeing that her sister-in-law had no reply for Xiao Yun, Liu Ziyan couldn't help but laugh. But after laughing, she felt a strange sensation in her heart.
"Mr. Xiao," Liu Ziyan pondered for a moment and said, "It is truly our honor to have you in Phoenix City. I know that with your temperament, it’s impossible for you to stay here permanently. However, could you consider being a security consultant for our hotel?"
A security consultant? That title sounded quite novel.
Without thinking twice, Xiao Yun readily agreed, "I will follow whatever arrangements you make, Sister Liu. By the way, I noticed that both of you seemed troubled earlier. Is something wrong?"
Liu Ziyan replied, "We received an anonymous letter. From the tone of the writer, it seems to be from the one who has been trying to take over our Phoenix City. However, perhaps due to your assistance last time, this person actually apologized to us in the letter, saying that everything they did in the past was wrong and that they would no longer cause trouble for us. Strangely enough, they also mentioned that if our hotel wanted to expand and faced any financial difficulties, they would be willing to sponsor us without charge."
"Oh? Such good news?" Even Xiao Yun found it strange.
Could this be orchestrated by Duan Haoran? If so, what could his purpose be?
Liu Ziyan said, "Mr. Xiao, do you think this could be a trap?"
Xiao Yun furrowed his brows and thought for a moment before replying, "Have you considered the idea of expanding the scale of Phoenix City?"
Liu Ziyan replied, "Of course, if no one causes trouble in the future, we would definitely consider it!"
"Alright then, you should proceed as stated in the letter. But how will you contact the person who wrote it?" Xiao Yun thought to himself that as long as that person showed up, everything could be clarified.
Liu Ziyan smiled wryly and said, "He didn't leave any contact information. He only mentioned that if we are interested, as long as we let it slip, he would find a way to get the money to us!"
Xiao Yun laughed again and said, "This person is quite mysterious. Just follow his instructions!"
"Is that really okay?" Han Xing asked hesitantly from the side.
Xiao Yun squinted his eyes and smiled, "What's wrong with that? If someone is really trying to cause trouble, isn't there me as your bodyguard consultant?"
His words made both Sister-in-law laugh, and at the same time, their mood lightened considerably.
However, Liu Ziyan was more cautious than Han Xing and said, "Mr. Xiao, you need to be careful. Just like the person who attacked you this time, I don't think he would randomly pick a fight with you just to test your skills."

Xiao Yun recognized it was the sound made by Little Bell. Sweat dripped down; this little bird had flown around in the blue sky and returned to his ring so quickly without him noticing.

Little Bell had just finished its exclamation when it eagerly said to Xiao Yun, "Hey, I can tell those two beauties seem very interested in you. Why not just take care of them right here?"
Wow, even Little Bell could say such things; it could really compete with Han Xing's mouth. However, to be fair, it was just a little bird and didn't think too much like humans do.
Xiao Yun whispered a warning, "Don't say anything reckless!"
Although his voice was low, Han Xing heard him and curiously asked, "Brother Xiao, who are you talking to? I feel like I can still hear the sound of birds."
Xiao Yun felt a bit overwhelmed and then smiled wryly, "I'm talking to my bird."
Han Xing inquired, "Where is your bird? I can't see it."

As he said this, he turned and walked out the door. Liu Ziyan and Sister-in-law watched his retreating figure, their faces flushed, standing there in a daze, unsure how to keep him from leaving.
Once Xiao Yun exited the Phoenix City Hotel, he took out his phone from the Storage Ring, intending to call Duan Qingxue. However, just as he pulled out the phone, he heard the notification sound for a text message.
He opened the message and saw a line of text: "Brother, come save me! The Pinnacle of Elegance has updated."
