Mario's anger erupted like a volcano, his uncontrollable emotions causing him to lose his usual composure upon discovering Toad and Tom the dog. He leaped furiously off his horse, striding decisively and swiftly, heading straight for Toad. His arm shot out, grabbing Toad by the collar and lifting him almost off the ground. Mario's eyes blazed with rage and confusion, the emotions nearly robbing him of his reason.
"You scoundrel! Why are you here?" Mario's voice thundered, deafening. He shook Toad as if he could squeeze the answer to the disappearance of Mushroom Kingdom out of him. "Where are the others? Where is Princess Peach? Why is the entire Mushroom Kingdom gone, and you two shameless rascals are still frolicking around here?!"
Toad's face turned pale due to suffocation, his eyes filled with fear and panic, and he struggled to explain but couldn't form complete sentences. Meanwhile, Tom, still in the form of a dog, seemed unsure of what to do, crawling on the ground in an attempt to escape Mario's anger.
Mario's anger at this moment was not only because Toad and Tom appeared here, but more so due to the shock and confusion over the disappearance of the Mushroom Kingdom. He couldn't accept that everything he had worked hard to build had vanished in an instant. The two people in front of him, whom he believed should not have appeared, became the catalyst for his emotional outburst.
In this moment filled with chaos and fear, Toad's painful groans were engulfed by Mario's rage. Mario's face contorted, his eyes flashing with unrestrained anger, "Sir... I...". When he heard Toad speak, a glimmer of hope trying to convey words through pain, Mario did not hesitate at all, and he fiercely slapped Toad to the ground. In that moment, the air seemed to freeze, all sounds drowned out by Mario's thunderous roar.
At this moment, Tom, the one playing the role of a dog, crawled to Mario's feet, his actions resembling those of a little dog trying to please its owner, constantly rubbing against Mario's leg in an attempt to calm Mario's anger. But such behavior, in this kind of moment, seemed even more ridiculous and pitiful. Mario's rage was not so easily quelled, and Tom's actions might only make him feel more repulsed in Mario's eyes.
The surrounding soldiers and guards were silent at this moment. They dared not approach or speak, only observing from a distance. They deeply understood that facing Mario's current rage, anyone's approach could become a new powder keg, igniting even greater anger. Mario's roar was like thunder, alerting everyone to the terrifying nature of the ruler's fury, far beyond their imagination.
Mario's hand, like a pair of iron tongs, tightly gripped Tom, and that anger made every observer's heart tighten. His face was ferocious, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, "You damn psychotic lunatic!". He threw Tom aside like trash. When Tom hit the ground, he curled up, crying even more miserably, but dared not look Mario in the eye, consumed by extreme fear.
Toad's crying was unusually clear in this dead silence. He knelt on the ground, hands covering his face, his whole body shaking uncontrollably. Amidst the sound of weeping, there was a mix of despair and fear. Mario roared at the two of them, his voice deafening, as if he wanted to shatter the surrounding air.
"Damn it, no more crying from either of you! You two bastards, who the hell can explain to me clearly what the hell happened?" Mario's voice was filled with powerlessness and confusion. He needed answers, he needed to know the truth of it all. He couldn't accept that his kingdom, his everything, had vanished like this.
At this moment, Mario is no longer the lofty king, but a person who has lost his way and is urgently seeking answers. The surrounding soldiers and guards silently watch, also wanting to know the answers, but they know that only Toad and Tom may hold the secrets.
In the face of this sudden disaster, Mario's anger and helplessness reach their peak. Tom emits a whimpering sound in his unique dog-like manner, seemingly expressing sadness and fear in his own way. He slowly crawls to Toad seeking a shred of comfort.
"Damn it, what are you talking about? What are you pretending to be pitiful for?" Mario's voice revealed immense anger and impatience. He needed answers, he needed to solve all these mysteries.
However, Toad calmly raised his hand, his voice firm and clear, "Sir... dogs cannot speak." This statement was like a bucket of cold water poured on Mario's fiery anger, leaving him feeling a helplessness he had never experienced before.
Mario felt a sense of powerlessness and absurdity after Toad's words. He glared angrily at Tom, a mix of anger, incomprehension, and helplessness in his eyes. When he heard Toad's explanation, he couldn't help but grab his hair as if, at that moment, the absurdity of the whole world was pressing down on his shoulders.
Mario helplessly held his head, completely unsure of what to do at this moment. Everything around him, the disappearance of the kingdom, the disappearance of the army, now even a reasonable explanation couldn't be obtained. He stood there, his figure unusually lonely and helpless, a former majestic king now trapped in an unprecedented predicament.
