Mario stood still, his body trembling involuntarily, his gaze empty, as if trying to digest the words of the light ball. He slowly spoke, his voice tinged with despair and confusion: "Why... why does it have to end like this? Everything, my kingdom, my people, my adventures... why?"

Mario, you should consider yourself lucky, because among countless universes and possibilities, you were chosen to come to this Mushroom Kingdom, a completely new world for you. You and Luigi were never ordinary residents of this world from the beginning; you were chosen beings. But you have used your power to oppress and destroy, instead of protecting and cherishing this place that gave you a second chance at life."
The voice of the light sphere became slightly more serious: "Your actions have attracted the attention of higher beings. In this universe, there are many eyes watching every corner, seeking out behaviors that disrupt balance and threaten cosmic order. Your actions undoubtedly constitute a declaration of war against these beings. And what you are seeing now is just a warning from them."
Mario's face grew even paler, and a fear unlike any he had ever experienced welled up in his heart. He finally realized that his actions may have violated certain irreversible rules of the universe, and that he himself might not be able to escape the disaster he had caused.
The voice of the orb continued with an unquestionable authority, "This world has set its own rules and balance from the very beginning, and every life given the breath of this world should follow these rules. Mario listened to these words, and his inner panic reached its peak. He finally understood that his actions not only caused irreparable harm to this world, but also posed a threat to the balance of the entire universe. He sat powerlessly on that lonely land, filled with endless regret and self-blame. But it seemed that it was already too late for everything.
Mario knelt on that lonely land, tears had already blurred his eyes. His voice became hoarse with despair, every word filled with pleading and fear: "Please... please give me a chance, I beg of you! His voice carried endless remorse, but also a hint of undisguised fear. Mario tightly grasped his hair, as if trying to seize the last chance of redemption from this abyss of despair.
The light sphere floated quietly there, observing Mario's despair and fear. Its voice gradually softened, but still carried an unmistakable indifference: "Is your current plea for mercy truly from genuine remorse? Or is it merely out of fear of facing the consequences? Have you ever thought about how those lives that have been harmed by your cruel treatment, by your wanton destruction of this world, have desperately sought redemption and never received it?"
"Can your so-called regret make amends for the destruction you have brought to this world? Can it bring new life to those innocent lives that have suffered? Mario, true repentance is not suddenly admitting fault when facing the end, but having the ability to take responsibility for past mistakes and make actionable changes."
Mario Tears streamed down his face as he finally realized his own selfishness and arrogance, not only destroying a world but also ruining the future of countless innocent lives. However, faced with the "rules" and "cleansing" mentioned by the light sphere, he was powerless, only able to search for the almost non-existent hope in despair.
