"You’re so thoughtful! Why give such an expensive gift?" Hu Yina smiled broadly as she accepted the present. The imperial green ring was worth at least several million; how could she not be pleased?
"Grandma, it's just a ring; it's nothing special to me," Jiang Chen replied casually.
"Look at your gifts; can you compare?" Hu Yina remarked with a hint of greed directed at her two daughters and Jiang Guangming.
Indeed, their gifts were merely some supplements like ginseng and bird's nest worth no more than ten thousand yuan; when measured in terms of money, they certainly could not compete with imperial green.
The two daughters and son-in-law immediately showed signs of embarrassment.
Instead, Jiang Guangming smiled faintly and said, "Mom, if we’re talking about material value alone, my box of cordyceps indeed doesn’t compare to imperial green. However, I’ve invited someone today whose presence is invaluable; you probably haven’t heard of him before."
"Really? Who is it?" Jiang Jingsheng still had some doubts about the abilities of this adopted son.

The Jiang family was considered a prominent household in Qingcheng, so there were naturally many people coming to celebrate Hu Yina's birthday. However, Old Qin did not come this time; such heavyweight figures rarely made appearances. But this time was Hu Yina's seventieth birthday. Old Qin had already achieved his purpose last time and noticed that Jiang Chen and the Jiang family were not on good terms, so he felt no need to consider Jiang Chen's feelings this time and decided not to attend the birthday celebration.
