What? Isn't this Sun Jianxin? What the hell are you joking about? 0

If it weren't for the fact that you're a beauty, I would have punched you right in the chest. 0

And why do you think this person isn't him? It's as if you know him. I believe Lingfeng shares my thoughts; we were both staring in shock at Xiao Qingcheng. 0

"This is an illusion." Xiao Qingcheng stretched out her hand, making a gesture as if to roll up her sleeves, only to realize she was wearing a short-sleeved shirt. She paused for a moment and smiled, "You all need to be mentally prepared." 0

After seeing us nod, Xiao Qingcheng pointed her fingers like a knife and jabbed at the person's face. To our astonishment, her fingers actually sank into his facial flesh, going in at least one knuckle deep. 0

Damn! 0

I exchanged glances with Lingfeng, both of us seeing shock reflected in each other's eyes. Motherfucker, that's a skull, not dough; how could she possibly insert her fingers into it? And she went in one knuckle deep! At that depth, she must have pierced through the skull and into the brain! 0

Before we could say anything, Xiao Qingcheng began to stir her hand around in the facial area. What had once been a bloody mess now looked like a large heap of minced meat that had fallen into a stinky ditch and was being stirred with a spoon, with eyes and mouth floating on top, rolling and moving. 0

My stomach churned again, and I barely managed to hold back from vomiting. Despite the disgusting sight before me, I kept my gaze fixed on the person's face; Xiao Qingcheng must have her reasons for doing this. 0

After stirring for what felt like seven or eight times, just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore, Xiao Qingcheng let out a light shout, her hand withdrawing like lightning. Then she wiped her palm across the person's face, and I felt my vision blur; when it cleared, Xiao Qingcheng had pulled her hand back, revealing that the corpse on the Stage now had a face—thick eyebrows and big eyes, vaguely familiar. 0

"Hey, isn't this Liu Xingyu?" Lingfeng exclaimed in surprise. 0

"Meteor Shower? What kind of nonsense is that?" I asked in confusion. 0

"I'm going to wash my hands!" Xiao Qingcheng said without caring about us and walked straight out. 0

"Liu Xingyu, that's the van driver," Lingfeng frowned. "His body should be in another cabinet, right?" 0

Lingfeng walked over to another cabinet, pulled it out, and a cloud of frozen white mist dispersed. He waved his hand in front of him, seemingly trying to dispel the unpleasant smell. Upon closer inspection, the body cabinet was empty, but the white cloth on the bed was still there, in disarray, as if someone had hurriedly taken the body away. 0

Lingfeng was even more puzzled. He took out his phone and made a call, asking a few questions before shaking his head and hanging up. "Fu said no one else came in. They're reviewing the surveillance footage now and will call me back after watching it." 0

Xiao Qingcheng walked over after washing her hands, frowning at the empty body cabinet. 0

How could Sun Jianxin's body have turned into Liu Xingyu, the van driver? What on earth was going on? Where did Sun Jianxin's body go? Was it possible that Sun Jianxin wasn't dead? 0

Suddenly, none of the three spoke; the room fell into a deathly silence. 0

"Cough cough!" I cleared my throat and asked, "Lingfeng, didn't you just arrive? How do you know so much already? Are you acting like a bureau chief or just doing manual labor? You seem to have it pretty rough for a deputy chief." 0

Lingfeng chuckled dryly. "There's no choice; others only see your glory but not your pressure. Do you think our family is the only one in the country? You have no idea how many people are waiting for you to slip up. If you do your job well, they won't praise you, but if you make one mistake, bricks and stones are light compared to grenades." 0

Hearing Lingfeng say this reminded me of a saying: success is like being pregnant; everyone congratulates you without knowing how many times you've been messed with. A big family has its own troubles; living life so cautiously must be exhausting. For a moment, I felt a bit sorry for him. Did Lingfeng envy my life? I could do whatever I wanted without worry. 0

"What’s going on with Liu Xingyu?" Not wanting to linger on this heavy topic any longer, I changed the subject and pointed at the body in the cabinet. 0

"He committed suicide," Lingfeng said with a bitter smile. 0

"Suicide?" I raised my voice in surprise. "Why would he commit suicide? Because of the accident? That’s impossible!" 0

"According to Officer Gong's records, Liu Xingyu only fainted at the time; he wasn't seriously injured. After waking up, he asked about that batch of goods. Gong confirmed everything was at the scene without loss and then asked for Boss's phone number to arrange for those goods to be sent to Delivery Van." Lingfeng flared his nostrils and took two deep breaths, frowning as if he found the smell in the body cabinet unpleasant. He pushed the cabinet containing Liu Xingyu's body back inside. 0

"Then what happened?" 0

"Then when Gong had someone deliver the goods, that Delivery Van Boss discovered that Six Masks were missing. The Boss just mentioned it casually, and Gong didn't think much of it and directly told Liu Xingyu. Unexpectedly, Liu Xingyu went crazy upon hearing this, shouting as if what was missing wasn't Six Masks but six pieces of gold." Lingfeng paused at this point, and the three of us were unconvinced. A whole truckload of goods missing Six Masks? This shows the high quality of the people in Star City; if you encountered a robbery, it would be good enough if you still had Six Masks left. 0

"And then?" 0

"There was nothing after that; he committed suicide!" When Lingfeng said this, Xiao Qingcheng and I exchanged shocked glances. "Lingfeng, are you sure you're not joking with us? How could someone commit suicide over Six Masks? Life can't be that worthless, right? Six Masks cost ten dollars each, that's only sixty dollars. Even if Liu Xingyu had ten pounds, that's just fifty cents a pound. Who knew life could be so devalued by oneself?" 0

"Did he have anything else?" Xiao Qingcheng couldn't help but ask when I remained silent. 0

"He kept asking Gong several times if Six Masks were really missing. After getting a confirmation each time, he went crazy shouting, 'It must be those Six Masks! It must be those Six Masks!' Then he rushed to the doctor's duty room, grabbed a scalpel, and slashed his throat in one clean stroke, cutting his windpipe." Lingfeng suddenly shivered and patted his pocket. "Zheng Nan, give me a cigarette!" 0

"There must be something else we don't know about." I took out a pack of cigarettes and handed Lingfeng one. After lighting it, I noticed Lingfeng was still looking for a lighter. I ignited my lighter and held it out to him, laughing, "No smoke, no fire; you're quite the fourth-class smoker!" 0

A first-class smoker has both smoke and fire; a second-class smoker has smoke but no fire; a third-class smoker has fire but no smoke; a fourth-class smoker has neither smoke nor fire. I didn't expect someone like Lingfeng could be teased like this. 0

"Strange, where did I put it? I was just smoking earlier; look at my memory." After using my lighter to light up, Lingfeng took a deep drag on the cigarette and frowned while tapping his head. 0

"Forget about it; it's common for smokers to misplace their lighters. It's nothing surprising. I have more than ten lighters in my drawer at home." Seeing Lingfeng's restless demeanor made me somewhat curious. 0

"Captain Ling... uh, Ling Ju!" A voice came from the doorway, and I turned to see a pale-faced police officer standing there. 0

Even if he got Captain Ling's name wrong, he shouldn't be this scared, right? 0

"Oh?" Lingfeng replied absentmindedly. 0

"Surveillance... no issues detected," the police officer stammered. 0

"Alright, you can leave now," Lingfeng waved his hand dismissively. 0

As the officer left, he shot me a glance, and I couldn't help but feel suspicious. I excused myself to the restroom and stepped out. 0

The officer was standing just outside the door. As I was about to ask him what he wanted, he urgently gestured for me to be quiet and led me to a corner. Only then did he whisper, "Ghost Brother!" 0

I was taken aback; who was this officer to address me so familiarly? 0

"My name is Fu Chaowen. I'm a classmate of Jia Tong. I've heard him mention you often and have seen your photo," the officer said without waiting for my response. "Come with me to see this surveillance video." 0

My suspicion deepened. Why would he show me the footage instead of Lingfeng? Was he up to something shady? 0

Fu Chaowen didn't say much more and led me into the duty room. He moved the mouse, waking the computer from sleep mode, revealing a surveillance feed. He dragged the progress bar and hit play. 0

On the screen, we saw the three of us entering the Morgue, right up until Xiao Qingcheng inserted her hand into Liu Xingyu's face to restore him. I glanced at Fu, who was staring at me in horror. 0

Indeed, this footage was hard for an ordinary person to comprehend. I scratched my head, about to explain when Fu pointed at the screen and said tremulously, "Ghost Brother, keep watching." 0

I felt puzzled but continued watching. After Xiao Qingcheng went out to wash her hands, Lingfeng opened the body drawer. Suddenly, a translucent shadow emerged with a burst of white mist and lunged at Lingfeng, slowly merging with him. By the time Xiao Qingcheng returned, the shadow had completely fused with Lingfeng and vanished without a trace. 0

Damn, had Lingfeng been possessed by a ghost? 0

No wonder he seemed so dazed afterward. 0

I cleared my throat, coughed lightly, and patted Fu's shoulder. "Don't worry, I have a plan." 0

Fu just nodded, remaining silent. 0

As we walked back to the Morgue, Lingfeng seemed a bit impatient, pacing back and forth. Upon seeing me enter, he urged, "There's nothing interesting here anymore; let's go outside." 0

"Wait a moment. I saw something in the restroom earlier; I'm not sure if it's Qingcheng's. Qingcheng, did you lose something? Come with me and take a look!" In my urgency, I couldn't find a suitable excuse and blurted out, desperately blinking at Xiao Qingcheng behind Lingfeng's back. 0

Xiao Qingcheng paused for a moment, then understood and pretended to pat her jeans pocket. "Oh right, where is it? Come with me to get it!" 0

I walked out of the room with Xiao Qingcheng and immediately told her about Lingfeng being possessed by a ghost. 0

Xiao Qingcheng's expression changed. "I felt something was off. It turns out while I was out, Kung Fu Lingfeng was actually possessed. This Demon seems to be quite powerful; otherwise, it wouldn't have been able to possess so quickly without me noticing." 0

"Is there any way to exorcise the ghost?" That was my only concern. 0

"There is!" Xiao Qingcheng pondered for a moment before slowly saying, "But it requires Golden Boy Blood!" 0
