I took out a pickaxe from the Spatial Bag and gestured to Fatty to lift the vines. As soon as the Golden Puppet emerged, I would give it a solid hit with the pickaxe. I couldn't believe that one strike wouldn't take it down. 0

Suddenly, a flash of gold appeared, and Number One Puppet really did spring out. I swung the pickaxe down, the wind whistling as it struck towards Number One Puppet's head. 0

Seeing this, Number One Puppet raised its arm, and with a crack, the pickaxe shattered its arm. I was momentarily stunned and didn't know how to react, while Fatty shouted from the side, "Keep going, Ghost Brother!" 0

Watching the fallen arm, Number One Puppet let out a mournful cry and recklessly charged out from the crevice, leaping into the air to pounce on me. 0

Fatty let out a strange cry, grabbing the vines and swinging them wildly. In a flurry of green shadows, the vines quickly wrapped around Number One Puppet tightly. 0

I had no time to think about anything else; I wielded the pickaxe like a windmill. With crackling sounds, I smashed everything apart except for the Doll's head. Once I confirmed that this pile of Golden Skeleton fragments posed no further threat to us, I finally stopped to catch my breath. 0

"Is that it?" Fatty dropped the vines and pointed at the scattered Golden Skeletons. "This Number One is so weak?" 0

I was also somewhat taken aback; I had expected a fierce battle before we could determine a winner. I didn't anticipate that we could deal with this Golden Puppet so easily. 0

"Tch, it's nothing impressive! I thought it would have machine guns or grenades or some high-tech stuff!" Fatty spat and lifted his shirt. "Made me run around in that cave like a dog; my belly is all scraped up!" 0

"Is your idea of high-tech in your head just machine guns and grenades?" I put away the pickaxe and laughed. "What do you think this is, an anti-Sun God drama?" 0

Regardless, we had finally dealt with Number One Puppet. Both of us were in high spirits. Although we pretended not to care, we both knew very well that if it weren't for our skills, an ordinary person wouldn't stand a chance against this Golden Puppet. To be honest, facing off against a Golden Puppet, an ordinary bullet wouldn't be as effective as my full-strength pickaxe strike. 0

Turning around to look around, we were on a rocky cliff beside a stream, surrounded by vines. In this desolate mountain area, it seemed unlikely that anyone would specifically climb up to lift the vines and take a look. It appeared that this exit had indeed been carefully planned. 0

I took an eco-friendly bag out of the Spatial Bag and stuffed the head of the Number One Puppet into it. This eco-friendly bag was a promotional giveaway from a certain brand of toothpaste at the supermarket, and I had casually shoved it into the Spatial Bag back then. I never expected it would come in handy now. I lifted it in my hand and weighed it, laughing, "This head must weigh around seventy or eighty pounds. Fatty, you've never seen a Billionaire carrying all their possessions in their hands, have you?" 0

Fatty was also grinning as he bent down to pick up an arm from the ground and hoisted it onto his shoulder. Suddenly, he slapped his forehead and exclaimed, "Ghost Brother, I just realized how silly we are!" 0

"Hey, you can be silly all you want; don't drag me into this! Do you know why I like being with you? Because in front of you, I feel a sense of intellectual superiority!" I rolled my eyes. It's unbelievable that someone could acknowledge their own silliness like that. 0

"Isn't that Spatial Bag meant for storing things? Do we really need to carry them by hand or on our shoulders? Aren't we being silly?" Fatty shouted. 0

Uh, he had a point. I chuckled and was about to put the Golden Skull I was holding into the Spatial Bag when I noticed its mouth opening and closing repeatedly, making a series of strange sounds. 0

This thing is still alive? 0

Fatty looked around, picked up a stone as big as a basin, raised it above his head, and shouted, "Ghost Brother, put it down; let me smash it with this rock!" 0

Hearing this, I placed the eco-friendly bag on the ground and gestured for Fatty to go ahead. Fatty let out a strange cry and hurled the stone toward the skull. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck me; before I could stop him, I kicked the stone away with my foot. Fortunately, my years of martial arts training paid off; with a loud bang, the stone flew away and landed in the creek below, splashing water high into the air. 0

Fatty stared at me in astonishment. "What just happened?" 0

I picked up the eco-friendly bag from the ground, tied it tightly shut, and tossed it into my Spatial Bag. I smiled and said, "We can give this skull to Lou Wei. To us, it's just a piece of gold, but for the country, this thing could potentially enhance national defense!" 0

Fatty nodded in agreement; when it came to significant matters like this, we were on the same page. 0

"Do you think those hundreds of Dolls inside might have gained consciousness too?" Fatty asked while helping me clean up the Golden Skeleton on the ground. 0

"It’s difficult. According to the numbers, since Number One Puppet has developed a preliminary consciousness, the subsequent Dolls will only become more refined." I frowned and added, "However, with all the commotion we caused inside, only Number One Puppet woke up. That doesn’t make sense." 0

Fatty picked up an arm and was about to hand it to me when he suddenly pulled back, pointing at a mark on it and asking, "Hey, is this mark from when you smashed it with a Beer Bottle?" 0

I thought back carefully. Yes, when Fatty was dragged into the rocks by the Golden Skeleton, I had smashed it with a Beer Bottle, and this was roughly the spot. 0

"It seems that this Number One Puppet is the Doll that dragged us underground." I placed all the skeletons into my Spatial Bag, stood up, and concluded, "Regardless, this is how it is with Number One Puppet. Let's head back to Sun City." 0

After noting the location of the entrance, we walked down the mountain and flagged down a Minibus. Once on board, the somewhat attractive Ticket Seller glanced at our disheveled appearance and slightly furrowed her brows. "Going to Sun City, right? Thirty bucks per person!" 0

It was only half an hour's drive from Sun City to Big Pit, so thirty bucks was clearly an outrageous price. However, we didn’t care; anyone who had hundreds of pounds of gold wouldn’t mind such a small amount. 0

Fatty glanced at the seats in the Minibus, noticing there were still four or five empty ones. He pulled out five hundred bucks and handed it to the Ticket Seller. "Don’t pick up any more passengers along the way; I’m renting this whole bus! Aren’t you just planning to fleece me? Let’s do it properly!" 0

The Ticket Seller stared blankly at the money for a moment, unsure of what to say. This was exactly the effect Fatty wanted. He lit a cigarette and pretended to gaze casually out of the window, looking like a great thinker lost in contemplation. 0

Back at the hotel, Zhao Ting wasn’t around. We both took a shower and collapsed into bed, sleeping until noon the next day before finally waking up. 0

The most important thing next was to buy a phone. Fortunately, I was in the habit of storing phone numbers on my SIM Card, so as long as I bought a new phone, I could make calls. Ever since mobile phones became common, no one wanted to remember numerous phone numbers. Honestly speaking, aside from your closest friends and family, how many phone numbers can you actually recall? 0

I originally remembered Lou Wei's number, but after being so disoriented lately, I had forgotten it after standing at a public phone booth for quite some time. The only option left was to buy a new phone. 0

As I walked downstairs, I saw that the front desk was manned by Zhou Li. Fatty cheerfully approached her and asked when Zhao Ting would be back at work. Zhou Li looked surprised and said, "Zhao Ting? I haven’t seen her for two days. Her phone is off too; I don’t know what’s going on." 0

Could it be that Zhao Ting has called for reinforcements from the Provincial Capital? This is what I think is the most likely scenario. 0

After asking for directions to the Mobile Store, Fatty and I turned right and walked about two hundred meters, until a Mobile Store that connected four storefronts appeared before us. 0

The sign above was made of light gray aluminum-plastic panels, with several large orange crystal letters spelling out "New Wave Communications." Below the sign hung a printed banner featuring a famous male star embracing another well-known female star, with red background and yellow text: "I've already changed my wife, why haven't you changed your phone?" 0

The store door was open, and the cool air conditioning was blowing out, creating a refreshing breeze that spread from my feet to my entire body. It felt just right. Four young men stood at the entrance, smoking and enjoying the cool air, each with hair dyed in various colors, clearly embodying the Shamate style. 0

Upon entering the store, I immediately spotted a familiar face—the Ticket Seller from the Minibus we had seen earlier. She was whispering with a Saleswoman, occasionally bursting into light laughter. Clearly, they were close friends. There was only one salesperson in the entire hall, indicating that business wasn't great. 0

When she saw us enter, the Ticket Seller paused for a moment and then quietly said a few words to the Saleswoman. The Saleswoman looked at us in surprise and walked over, greeting us in a dialect. 0

I scratched my head: "Excuse me, miss, what did you say?" 0

"Oh? You're from out of town? Are you looking to buy a phone?" The woman asked in somewhat unstandard Mandarin, her eyes darting between me and Fatty. It seemed that the Ticket Seller had told her something that piqued her interest in us; as for what exactly she said, it was probably something along the lines of us being either rich or poor. 0

In the distance, the Ticket Seller casually took out her phone to make a call, appearing indifferent to everything. Fatty noticed her too and after a moment of thought guessed what was happening. He smiled and asked, "What's your best counterfeit phone?" 0

"Apple!" The woman replied with a grin. 0

"But mine is a counterfeit phone," Fatty said, taken aback. 0

"That's right! This counterfeit Apple doesn't have the grass character on top," she said as she walked behind the counter and pulled out a shiny phone. "It has an all-steel exterior, is drop-proof and waterproof, uses aerospace technology, and has an ultra-long standby time of up to one month!" 0
Then the salesperson showed off the bright flashlight, the radio with all the global channels, and the booming sound. "That's it, haha, I like it." Fatty took the Apple Phone and looked at it fondly. "Let me buy an Apple too!" I laughed. To be honest, I just bought one for temporary use. The phone I really want to use has to be bought back to StarCity. Who knows if the phone bought here is a refurbished phone? People nowadays are so bad. I did this before when I was in the mobile phone business. "Ten thousand yuan for two mobile phones!" The woman looked at us with a smile. Even if it’s a real apple, there shouldn’t be five thousand of them, right? I couldn't help but feel angry. We were pretending to be cool, but we weren't stupid. How many copies of yours did you have? Inlaid with gold or diamonds? Is there a quick broadcast that can watch Adult Film inside? Moreover, you can compare, this cabinet Stage also has labels, and it costs 599 yuan each and comes with a case and film. Seeing the greedy look in the salesperson's eyes, I felt even more disgusted, so I didn't think much about it, so I pulled Fatty and walked away. "Don't regret it after you walk out of this door!" The woman said angrily behind her. I regret your sister! As soon as we walked out, the four ShamateYouth gathered around us and stopped us with arrogant expressions. 0
