This was not enough to cool us down; what made our scalps tingle was the dazzling lights below, where the area around the house was packed with people. Some even had wounds that had not been stitched up, revealing their glimmering golden skeletons underneath. 0

Everyone had a red string on their wrists, with three golden orbs hanging from it. This was none other than the Variable Gear, which could adjust strength. It seemed these people had already been fused with the Golden Puppet. 0

“Zhou Yaodong!” I shouted loudly. 0

Zhou Yaodong looked up, a chilling smile on his face that sent shivers down my spine. 0

I cursed and fired a shot at the crowd on the Iron Plate. After I shot, Fatty and the others also opened fire below. The loud gunshots caused the Dolls on the Iron Plate to topple over, and occasionally someone was hit by the powerful Shotgun, falling off the Iron Plate with wounds blooming on their chests. 0

However, even so, two people still stood on the Iron Plate: Zhou Yaodong and Liu Jinhang. They each raised a Doll's body as a shield to block our bullets. 0

Soon, the Iron Plate had risen to the rocky part. Zhou Yaodong shouted angrily and threw the Doll in his hand at me. At the same time, he soared into the air like a giant roc. 0

“Step back!” I shouted, kicking away the Doll thrown by Zhou Yaodong and raising my gun to fire at him. 0

Zhou Yaodong twisted in mid-air; my shot hit his arm, creating a fist-sized hole in it and sending him flying backward. 0

At that moment, Zhou Yaodong's deep martial arts foundation showed itself. He tapped his toes against the wall of the passageway, halting his backward momentum. With another twist and a tap of his other foot against the wall, he swiftly pounced towards me. 0

I didn't have time to chamber another bullet; I kicked directly at Zhou Yaodong's head. He sneered, not dodging but reaching out to grab my Shotgun. 0

With a thud, I kicked Zhou Yaodong's head; he merely swayed slightly and effortlessly grasped my gun barrel. With a powerful tug, he nearly wrenched it from my hands. 0

This was our only weapon capable of countering them, so I naturally didn't want to lose it. I leaped back and struggled to reclaim it. Zhou Yaodong seemed uninterested in fighting for the Shotgun; using my pull as leverage, he lightly leaped onto the edge of the Passage and smiled at me mockingly as he swung his fist towards my chest with a whooshing sound. 0

I forcefully blocked his punch and caught a glimpse of Fatty's side; Liu Jinhang had already been shot down by Fatty and the others. However, their guns clicked ominously—clearly, they had run out of bullets and needed to reload. 0

“Fall back behind the door!” I shouted, focusing on holding off Zhou Yaodong while Fatty and his team quickly retreated behind the door. Zhou Yaodong didn’t seem eager to attack; he merely countered my moves to buy time. A cold laugh echoed as Liu Jinhang leaped up from the elevator again to join the fray, leaving me somewhat flustered. 0

With clattering sounds, the elevator descended. I paused for a moment before understanding—they sent a master like Zhou Yaodong as vanguard to entangle us while occupying the exit and continuously sending more Dolls from behind. 0

Although I knew their plan, there was nothing I could do. Both Zhou Yaodong and Liu Jinhang were Martial Arts Masters; either one could match me in skill. Now with their Golden Skeletons—thick-skinned and immensely strong—even though I possessed Devouring Soul energy, I could only hold my ground against them. 0

A thought flashed through my mind: retreat while shooting. When I reached the door, I quickly leaped back and shouted to fire. Fatty and the others had already reloaded their guns. Seeing me escape, they raised their weapons and fired wildly at Zhou Yaodong and his companion. Amid the gunfire, Zhou and Liu were forced to retreat continuously. When they reached the elevator shaft, they surprisingly stopped retreating, holding hands to withstand our bullets. Although their bodies were riddled with holes, they did not budge an inch. 0

The elevator rose again, and a group of Dolls stood above, led by Red Chili Kiki from the Flying Swallow Gang. With a sharp shout, Kiki leaped into the air and dashed toward us like lightning. 0

Fatty fired a shot directly at Kiki's chest, causing her to stagger back, a large hole exploding in her front as she fell into the crowd. However, more than ten Dolls surged forward behind her, shouting as they charged at us. 0

The four of us took turns firing our guns while retreating until we reached the sliding iron door between the Doll warehouse and the Print Shop. Fatty forcefully closed the door, leaving only a ten-centimeter gap. He found a piece of debris to jam in the door's roller. Two of us formed a pair and fired at anyone who got close to the door, creating a temporary stalemate. 0

Fatty fired a shot and checked his pockets; he was out of bullets. He shouted loudly, "Ghost Brother, hurry up with the ammo!" 0

I pulled all the bullets from my Spatial Bag and placed them at the door. After hesitating for a moment, I picked up about twenty: "Here they are. Use them sparingly; once we run out, we retreat!" 0

At first, I thought that in such a short time, Gu Quan and his group couldn't possibly have fused all the Dolls—at most just about ten—so I recklessly charged in. With four shotguns, taking down ten Dolls should be easy, right? I never expected that all these Dolls had actually fused completely. How did he manage that? 0

The iron door was repeatedly struck with loud bangs as the Dolls inside slammed against it through the gaps created by our shotguns. The door began to bulge with strange shapes from their impacts; the combat power of the Golden Puppets was evident. 0

Zhao Ting and his partner ran out of bullets again. I rushed forward to replace them while Fatty covered me with fire. I glanced over; there were already piles of Dolls on the ground, all full of large holes but still crawling around. In the distance, new Dolls continued to emerge from the passage leading underground, charging toward the iron door. Meanwhile, we had already exhausted more than half of our ammunition. 0

It seemed we had to retreat. 0

"Zhao Ting, Tian Zhiyong, you two take this and prepare at that iron door over there. As soon as Fatty and I retreat back, close the door immediately and tie it shut with this rope." I tossed a bundle of Climbing Rope to Zhao Ting; he had given me two bundles last time but I hadn't had a chance to use them. 0

Zhao Ting nodded and quickly ran with Tian Zhiyong toward another iron door while Fatty and I took turns firing against the frenzied assault of the Dolls. Just as we were caught up in our battle, two gunshots rang out behind us. Surprised, I turned to see Zhao Ting and Tian Zhiyong retreating in shock; dozens of figures appeared at that iron door, led by Gu Quan, Wang Chuan, and Autumn Red Flag. 0

"I wonder how many bullets you have left?" Gu Quan approached slowly with dozens of Dolls behind him, smiling as he said, "But it doesn't matter. If you've seen Li Yunfan's diary, you should know that we can repair ourselves." 0

After saying this, Gu Quan waved his hand; Autumn Red Flag proudly turned around to show his back—smooth and unblemished without any wounds—and then revealed his ankles as well; they were perfectly intact. 0

Damn it! This isn't fair! I glanced back at the Dolls near our warehouse; indeed, those that had been knocked down earlier were starting to rise again. Although the holes we had blasted into them remained visible, they had clearly shrunk significantly. 0

In that moment, I almost felt an urge to throw my gun away—what's the point? After all that effort to take down a few of you, you can just repair yourselves? That's downright bullying! 0

Gu Quan laughed heartily and waved his hand; those dozens of figures behind him charged forward. 0

Zhao Ting and the others had already retreated back to our side, while dozens of Dolls charged recklessly at us. The four of us could only fire desperately in their direction. The Dolls in the warehouse behind us seemed to have noticed the situation here, and one after another, they crashed into the iron door. Finally, with a loud crash, the iron door behind us was knocked down, leaving us surrounded by Dolls on all sides. 0

Gu Quan shouted, "Form groups of four and take turns charging in!" 0

As soon as he said this, groups of Dolls fearlessly rushed forward. In the face of such a dense wave of attacks, we barely had time to reload our guns. We managed to take down two groups and fend off another two with punches and kicks, but ultimately the fifth group of Dolls pinned us down. Damn, these Dolls were all Golden Skeletons, each weighing several hundred pounds; we were suddenly immobilized. 0

Gu Quan clapped his hands and stepped forward, smiling, "If you're coming, just come! Why bring gifts? Your bodies are quite nice; just what we F4 need for new bodies. This gift is truly exciting, hahaha! Take them away!" 0

The Dolls confiscated our guns and escorted us to a room by an underground lake. Gu Quan pressed some mechanism, and the lights along the shore brightened up, revealing numerous Operating Tables—at least forty or fifty of them. Each Operating Table was illuminated by a shadowless lamp. 0

No wonder the Dolls fused so quickly; it was clearly an assembly line operation—how could it not be fast? 0

Gu Quan brought us four to the tables. Wang Chuan stepped forward to make some adjustments and turned back to say, "The power consumption has been too high lately; we probably can't maintain it until the end of a surgery. We need to recharge for a while." 0

"Why don't you all move around a bit? I'm a reasonable person; feel free to do whatever you want before the fusion!" Gu Quan said with a smile, signaling the Dolls to let us go. He tossed our shotguns into the lake right then and there. Without our shotguns, we posed no threat to them at all. 0

We huddled together while Gu Quan busied himself poking around on the Operating Tables. This was clearly a display of contempt. Yes, one or two Dolls might not be my match, but they had three hundred Dolls! From what we had just seen, they didn't even need to do anything; they could simply charge in and crush us. Most importantly, Gu Quan wasn't afraid of any tricks from us; he was practically invulnerable—what was there to fear? 0
