Qingcheng frowned tightly and said, "This doesn't make sense. How is that possible? Where did those two Jin Luoer go? Could it be that they are still being melted in the water?" 0

I climbed ashore and wiped the water off my face. "Melted? Uh, yours really could be a possibility; otherwise, it wouldn't explain why two living people mysteriously disappeared in the pond. However, back to the point, wasn't there supposed to be only one ghost? Why did both of them vanish? Also, yesterday Brother Five took Jin Luoer out of the cabinet; at that time, Jin Luoer should have been just like any other person. Otherwise, Brother Five would definitely have noticed something." 0

Hearing Brother Five's name, Xiao Qingcheng's expression darkened. Noticing this, I decided not to press further. For a moment, we looked at each other in silence before almost simultaneously saying, "What should we do next?" 0

After thinking for a moment, I suggested, "How about we go to the Nine Dragon Pool at the top of the mountain and see if we can find anything there?" 0

Qingcheng nodded and stood up, glancing at me. "Aren't you uncomfortable all wet like that?" 0

"Yeah, I'll change clothes. You wait for me up ahead!" I rummaged through my Spatial Bag, pulled out a bunch of clothes, grabbed two at random, and stuffed the rest back in. 0

Xiao Qingcheng turned to leave, and I quickly called out, "Don't go too far!" 0

"Okay!" Qingcheng replied as she walked over to a stone wall and stood there staring blankly at it. 0

I quickly changed clothes and walked over to Qingcheng. "Alright, let's go." 0

Xiao Qingcheng didn't move; she just stared at the vines on the stone wall and asked, "Can you climb up this stone wall, Zheng Nan?" 0

I glanced at the wall and replied dismissively, "With so many vines on it, I can definitely climb up. After all, I'm someone with Kung Fu." 0

"You climb up and then use a rope to pull me up!" Qingcheng pointed at the wall and said, "It seems there’s no other way to get to the top." 0

I looked around and indeed, the stone wall was surrounded by steep cliffs. There might be a way to the top elsewhere, but it would definitely take a long detour. Climbing directly over this stone wall would save a lot of time, so I agreed with the suggestion. 0

Grabbing the vines, I climbed up with effort and found a large trunk. I took out a rope and tied one end to the tree, securing it with a tight knot. After thinking for a moment, I wrapped the rope around my waist and tied several knots at the other end before throwing it down, calling out, "Qingcheng, tie the rope around your waist and hold onto the knots. I'll pull you up! Once you're secured, tug on the rope three times." 0

Xiao Qingcheng responded from below, and soon after, the rope was tugged three times. I let out a sound of acknowledgment and crossed my hands to pull the rope upwards. 0

Just as I was about to pull her up, a flash of golden light suddenly appeared below. Before I could figure out what was happening, I felt the rope loosen in my hands; it seemed that the end of the rope had lost all tension. I heard Qingcheng scream, and I fell backward as the rope was yanked from my grasp. Looking closely, I realized that the rope had been cut. 0

Another flash of silver light darted below, accompanied by the sound of metal clashing. I cursed under my breath and lunged forward but forgot that I still had the rope wrapped around my waist, which was still tied to the tree. My body halted mid-air as the rope tightened painfully around my waist, flipping me over before I landed with a thud on the ground. Gritting my teeth in pain, I scrambled to untie the rope and leaned over the edge of the stone wall to look down, just in time to see Xiao Qingcheng swaying in mid-air while holding onto several vines with her left hand. 0

"Don't move! I'll help you!" 0

Not bothering to retrieve another rope, I quickly climbed down along the vines and reached for the half-length of rope still attached to Qingcheng. Getting close to her, I told her to lie on my back and casually wrapped the rope around both of us several times before shouting, "Hold tightly onto my neck." 0

"Okay!" 0

Testing the sturdiness of the vines, I used both hands and feet to climb upwards. Occasionally, some vines would be uprooted by me causing us to fall slightly, but fortunately there were plenty of nearby vines to grab onto. As we climbed, some vines were pulled askew revealing more of the stone wall beneath. 0

We safely reached the top and took a couple of steps forward before untying the rope. 0

While climbing up, I hadn’t noticed anything unusual; it was only when untying the rope that I realized—cough cough—Qingcheng's pectoral muscles were quite developed. Damn it, I must have picked up bad habits from Fatty; at this moment, how could I even think about such things? Or maybe it was because I often read inappropriate content from Cao Dama Zi's WeChat. From now on, no matter what Cao Dama Zi posts on WeChat, I'll just reply with a curse. 0

After resting for a moment, I pointed at the broken end of the rope: "What happened here?" 0

Qingcheng's face showed traces of lingering fear: "Just as we were nearing the top, a golden knife flew out from the pond and directly severed the rope. Luckily, I managed to grab onto a vine or else I would have fallen. It seemed like that knife had a life of its own; seeing that I didn't fall, it started attacking me. While I was dodging it, another silver sword shot out from the water and blocked the golden knife. The two weapons clashed in mid-air before both flew back into the pond." 0

If someone else said this, I would definitely think they were hallucinating. Damn, the Silver Sword and Golden Knife are fighting in mid-air. Do you think this is Xianjian Qixia? Are you expecting Li Xiaoyao to battle the Ghost King? 0

But Xiao Qingcheng wouldn't lie to me, and she is a Taoist master, so it's impossible for such a hallucination to occur. 0

I walked to the edge of the cliff and leaned over to take a look down. The water pool was completely still, not even a ripple on the surface, smooth and calm like a mirror, as if nothing had ever happened. 0

"Damn, this is really strange," I said as I stepped back from the cliff. Seeing Qingcheng's pale face, I took out a piece of chocolate from my Spatial Bag and handed it to her. 0

Qingcheng didn't say anything; she took the chocolate, unwrapped it, ate a couple of bites, and put the rest away. She then pulled out her Peach Wood Sword, shook it a few times, and white specks began to dance around the wooden sword. 0

"Let's go!" Qingcheng nodded towards the mountain peak. 0

"Okay!" I also took out my shotgun. 0

Come on, come on! Whatever demons or beautiful monsters you have, just come over, and I'll give you a Ruyi Jingu Bang... well, I'll just give you a shot. 0

We walked all the way to the top of the mountain. Forget about demons; we didn't even see a single rabbit. 0

When we reached the summit, both Xiao Qingcheng and I couldn't help but gasp in surprise—not from fear but from astonishment. Although these two words are similar, they carry different meanings: "fear" implies being scared and anxious, while "astonishment" includes surprise and delight. 0

The expression on our faces was clearly one of delight. 0

Before us was a Circular Lake, resembling a crystal-clear sapphire embedded at the mountain's peak. Surrounding it were lush green trees that looked vibrant; there were red flowers blooming brightly like fire; purple shrubs exuded luxury and elegance; and above was a deep blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds. All of this was reflected in the sapphire-like water surface, making it hard to distinguish what was real and what was merely a reflection. 0

"Wow, this is truly beautiful!" I exclaimed from the depths of my heart. 0

Qingcheng sighed for a while before the two of us began to stroll around the lake. The lake was not large, and it took us about twenty minutes to walk around it. 0

After completing the circle, we found nothing unusual. The blue water of the lake was deep and bottomless, with fish occasionally swimming by, appearing quite content. It seemed that Nine Dragon Pool was just a legend; it was impossible for nine dragons to be bathing in it. 0

"How about we head down the mountain now? I want to go back to the hotel room to get online and update my grandfather about the situation here," Qingcheng suggested after finding nothing. 0

"Why don't you just call him directly? Why do you need to go online to report to your grandfather?" I asked curiously. 0

"Because my grandfather is deaf and mute, so we can only communicate through sign language. Of course, I could send messages, but do you think messages would be clear enough?" Xiao Qingcheng pouted. 0

... 0

On our way down the mountain, we took a different path, hoping to discover something new, but unfortunately, we found nothing. 0

When we reached the hotel entrance, Qingcheng couldn't help but ask me, "If someone asks where Jin Luoer went, how should we respond?" 0

I was momentarily speechless and after about a second, I replied, "I'll answer however they ask; we'll just have to adapt!" 0

As we walked through the door, there was an exceptionally curvy girl at the front desk who was chatting on her phone. Her chest was so ample that it nearly stretched her black shirt to its limits. The words "Shoushan Grand Hotel" were only partially visible; the middle three characters could be seen while the 'Shou' and 'Hotel' were pushed to the sides. However, despite her fullness, the girl's face was quite sweet. 0

Fortunately, this girl wasn't the one on duty this morning; otherwise, if she asked about Jin Luoer, I really wouldn't know how to respond. 0

I greeted her casually and pretended not to notice as I asked, "Hey there, working the night shift?" 0

The girl glanced at us and replied nonchalantly, "Yeah." 0

"We are the guests from rooms 05 and 06." 0

"Uh-huh." The response was still casual, with a hint of impatience in her expression, as if to say, "Hey, I have things to do, I don't have time for you." 0

After all, she didn't know that we went out with Luo Er this morning, hoping to find out something. Acting nonchalant, I smiled and said, "By the way, beautiful, is that on-duty staff member Jin Luoer here?" 0

The 'Basketball' girl showed a strange expression upon hearing this. She stared at me for a while before answering, "What do you need her for?" 0

"It's like this. I got along well with her yesterday, and she was supposed to be my tour guide today. But I haven't seen her at all. I thought her round face looked like an apple and assumed she was quite innocent. I didn't expect her to stand me up; that's not good, right?" I casually used the 'Round-Faced Girl' as an example. If this 'Basketball' girl wasn't Jin Luoer, then the previous girl with shoulder-length curly hair must be Jin Luoer. 0

The 'Basketball' girl had an even stranger expression on her face: "Her face looks like an apple?" 0

Seeing the expression on 'Basketball', I concluded that the 'Round-Faced Girl' probably wasn't Jin Luoer. I laughed and said, "Just kidding! If you see Jin Luoer, please tell her that one must keep their promises!" 0

Upon hearing this, 'Basketball' frowned, stood up angrily, and said, "Hey, how can you be like this? What do you mean by not keeping promises? Who said they would be your tour guide? I'm Jin Luoer! I'm the only one with the last name Jin in the whole Shoushan Hotel! Which of your eyes saw me talking to you yesterday? I wasn't even on duty!" 0
