"What's going on?" I didn't bother with the four bleeding needle holes on my arm, squatting next to Kong Xuan and looking at the pale-faced Lingfeng. 0

Kong Xuan ignored me, his hand hovering in the air, fingers bending and straightening repeatedly, as if hesitating over something. After a long pause, he said, "Fatty, go call Qingcheng over." 0

Fatty quickly turned and ran out. I took out my phone to check the time; it was already past four in the afternoon. I cleared my throat lightly and asked, "What exactly is happening? Qingcheng will be off work in a little over an hour." 0

"A Shadow Spirit has already entered Lingfeng's body; this is a bit tricky," Kong Xuan replied. 0

"What should we do?" 0

"Don't worry, isn't Qingcheng here? Qingcheng's Taoist techniques can kill this Shadow Spirit, and then I can extract it," Kong Xuan said, smiling to reassure me as he saw my anxiety. 0

"Then why do you look like a corpse?" I retorted angrily. 0

Just as Kong Xuan was about to explain, footsteps were heard outside the door. He quickly said, "We'll talk about this later; first, let's get the Shadow Spirit out of Lingfeng!" 0

At that moment, Qingcheng and An Ran followed Fatty in, walking briskly. Qingcheng went straight to our side while An Ran turned to close the door. 0

Kong Xuan explained the situation to Qingcheng. Upon hearing this, Qingcheng nodded without hesitation, drew her Peach Wood Sword, formed a spell with her hands, and directly thrust the wooden sword into Lingfeng's abdomen. 0

Last time in the Morgue at the police station, Qingcheng had performed a similar act when a Shadow Phantom was about to possess Lingfeng; she had recklessly stabbed the Peach Wood Sword into Lingfeng's stomach then too. 0

So I wasn't surprised at all; instead, Fatty and An Ran couldn't help but gasp in shock. 0

Two country bumpkins; they really had never seen much of the world. 0

"Flame Dragon Killing Formation! Fire!" Xiao Qingcheng shouted lightly. Just like before in the Morgue, a fist-sized flame suddenly appeared in her left palm. The flame quickly grew larger in her hand until it reached the size of a Sea Bowl, with a red dragon darting around at its center. 0

"Flame Overlap! Swift!" With a whoosh, the flame doubled in size again, and the red dragon coiled around the outside of the flame, soaring up and then darting toward Lingfeng like lightning, disappearing right into his chest. 0

Lingfeng began to tremble violently as if a high-powered electric motor had been stuffed inside his body. 0

Meanwhile, Kong Xuan drew a spell in the air, focusing intently, waiting for Qingcheng to kill the Shadow Spirit. 0

"Devour the Void! Break!" Xiao Qingcheng twisted the Peach Wood Sword and swiftly pulled it out, revealing a hint of red Starburst mixed with white mist swirling around Lingfeng's abdomen. 0

Kong Xuan lightly scolded, pointing directly at the white mist. It was as if a smoker took a deep inhale; in an instant, all the white smoke was absorbed into Kong Xuan's finger. Following the previous method, Kong Xuan dripped it into a copper box to eliminate it. 0

At that moment, Lingfeng groaned and opened his eyes. Seeing us staring at him intently, he quickly propped himself up on his elbows and looked around, realizing he had no covering. He shouted, covering his vital parts with his hands, "Get out! Get out! How could you be so indecent to gather and watch!" 0

"What's so rare about it? Who hasn't seen it before?" An Ran laughed as she and Qingcheng turned to walk into the outer room. 0

"What's so rare about it? Who hasn't seen it before?" The three of us men also laughed as we walked into the outer room. 0

... 0

After a while, Lingfeng tidied himself up and came out, asking what had happened. Kong Xuan cleared his throat and said, "You were possessed by the Shadow Spirit." 0

"Shadow Spirit? What is that?" Lingfeng asked in surprise. 0

Kong Xuan briefly explained and then said with concern, "With ten or eight Shadow Spirits, I could manage along with Qingcheng, but given the situation, these Shadow Spirits are appearing strangely; it might not be just ten or eight. Uh... by the way, after six hours, Qingcheng will turn into Guo'er, so we can't count Qingcheng in." 0

I was a bit confused: "Aren't there only three that have come out in total? And you've already killed those three." 0

Qingcheng coughed lightly beside me: "Zheng Nan, it's like this: Shadow Spirits are entities that exist between the Underworld and Yang Realm; they are somewhat similar to Spirits. Although their abilities are far inferior to Spirits, they appear in large numbers—hundreds or thousands at a time; even tens of thousands of Shadow Spirits have been recorded before. However, such occurrences usually attract Taoist masters with Supreme Power to eliminate them." 0

"Hundreds or thousands of Shadow Spirits?" I couldn't help but shiver. Although these three Shadow Spirits had already been killed by Kong Xuan, it was clear that killing one wasn't easy. If millions of Shadow Spirits were to appear... well, we might as well lie down on the ground and wait for the Shadow Spirits' favor. 0

"This isn't what matters; what's most important is that this batch of Shadow Spirits is acting quite strangely. They aren't rushing in all at once but are coming out one by one to test the waters, as if... as if someone is controlling them!" Kong Xuan said this while looking at Qingcheng for confirmation, and Qingcheng nodded in agreement. 0

"Damn!" I had no words except for curses. 0

"Generally speaking, those who can control such Shadow Spirits are either powerful Demons with Supreme Power or Taoist masters or someone using a certain magical artifact," Qingcheng frowned and said. 0

"Is the Demon of Supreme Power really so lowly? Sneaking around and plotting in the dark, that's such a disgrace to the term 'Supreme Power.' I think someone must have used some kind of artifact." I chuckled lightly. 0

"Bullying the weak and fearing the strong!" Qingcheng shot me a glance, pinpointing my true thoughts with a single sentence. 0

Indeed, I was unwilling to face those Demons of Supreme Power, like Ji Wuyuan whom we encountered in Moon City. He toyed with us effortlessly. If I hadn't suddenly helped him think of Ma Xingrui's grammatical error, and he hadn't been in a hurry to play cards, I would probably have ended up minced meat by now. 0

Thinking of Ji Wuyuan, I couldn't help but ask, "So can you confirm what's going on?" 0

Seeing both Kong Xuan and Qingcheng shake their heads, I quickly said, "In that case, I'll ask someone." 0

I took out the Bronze Medal Ji Wuyuan had given me. Kong Xuan recognized this Bronze Medal and showed a relieved expression, but the others looked at me in confusion, not knowing what significance this Bronze Medal held. 0

"Watch closely! This is the ultimate artifact given to me by a Demon. Now, it's time to witness a miracle!" I boasted as I tossed the Bronze Medal onto the Flower Board. Everyone's gaze followed the Bronze Medal as it traced a graceful arc through the air, and then... it simply fell onto the bed. 0

Nothing happened. Everyone looked bewildered, and Fatty asked, "Where's the miracle? Where is it?" 0

Kong Xuan cleared his throat. "Did Ji Wuyuan teach you any incantations?" 0

"Incantations? No, I only called him during Mahjong Three Missing One!" I replied in surprise. "Isn't it just about tossing it into the air? Why would there be an incantation involved?" 0

Qingcheng asked me what was going on. I recounted how Ji Wuyuan used this Bronze Medal, and Qingcheng immediately found it amusing: "This is clearly a magic circle that can transmit images instantly; it definitely requires an incantation." 0

Damn, Ji Wuyuan really didn't tell me anything. 0

"I don't even know why he didn't leave a phone number; how poor can he be! Even if it's really Mahjong Three Missing One, I wouldn't call you!" Fatty complained while scratching his head. Suddenly he laughed and said, "Ghost Brother, could it be that this incantation is just 'Mahjong Three Missing One'?" 0

"Hey, that actually makes sense!" I agreed quickly. I picked up the Bronze Medal from the bed again and tossed it into the air while shouting, "Mahjong Three Missing One!" 0

In an instant, the Bronze Medal flickered in mid-air. With a whoosh, a huge image appeared: Ji Wuyuan was dressed as the Gambling God, wearing a black trench coat and white scarf with a toothpick in his mouth, sitting at an Eight Immortals Table with several playing cards in hand. 0

Next to the Eight Immortals Table were two oddly dressed men. One wore a crown typically worn by ancient emperors with five strands of beads hanging down from front to back; as they swayed, one could vaguely see his fierce features. The other was a man with curly hair, blue eyes, and a high nose—he was actually a foreigner. 0

Upon seeing us, the three of them were somewhat taken aback and paused for a moment. Ji Wuyuan then smiled and said, "What's wrong? Did you lose at Mahjong? I'm busy right now, playing Landlord." 0

The fierce-looking Qiu Xu Empire gestured with his lips, "Who are these people?" 0

"Just a few friends who play Mahjong! By the way, Zheng Nan, let me introduce you. This is the Underworld Demon King, Jiang Ziyu." Ji Wuyuan pointed his chin at the imposing figure and casually gestured towards the curly-haired man, "This is John. He was swept into the wicked capitalist country through a time rift and stayed there for hundreds of years before re-entering the Underworld. He can be considered a unique flower in the Underworld!" 0

Jiang Ziyu and John both nodded and greeted me. 0

"I don't have time to play Mahjong with you today; let's do it another time." Ji Wuyuan waved his hand dismissively as if shooing away a mosquito, preparing to bid us farewell. 0

"Wait! Wait!" I quickly shouted. 0

"What is it?" Ji Wuyuan casually tossed out a pile of cards, "I’m declaring a four-pair combo! I'm 'reporting' now!" 0

"Hey, you clearly have an extra 'q' here. How can you be so shameless and cheat?" Jiang Ziyu exclaimed after counting Ji Wuyuan's cards. 0

"Oh, then I’ll just 'report a double,' that should be fine." Ji Wuyuan angrily picked up one 'q' and then turned to shout at me, "Hey, hurry up!" 0

"Uh, here's the thing. Do you know what this is? This is a Shadow Spirit; how could it appear here?" I quickly asked. Meanwhile, I was worried that since he got caught cheating, he might kill me to silence me. 0
