"You don't know anything; this is a remote control!" I was certain this was a remote control. As I moved my fingers, the black hand in the water followed my commands, dragging the Rope slowly toward the shore. 0

When the black hand reached the shore, I casually tossed the remote control into the Mustard Seed Pendant. With a pull of the rope, I dragged the black hand onto the land, which still had a dagger stuck in it. Clearly, this was the same black hand that had fought me earlier. 0

"This Water Monster can still be controlled?" Fatty exclaimed in surprise as he kicked the black hand. 0

"What nonsense." I frowned in dissatisfaction. "Do you still think this is a Water Monster? This is high technology; someone is playing tricks!" 0

Fatty squatted down and pulled out the dagger from the black hand. After thinking for a moment, he used brute force to cut it open, finally revealing a Big Hole that exposed its metallic skeleton. He then stood up, amazed, and said, "Wow, this really is high technology; it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie." 0

I called Lou Wei. Such high-tech items could only be handed over to the state for research. 0

Half an hour later, Lou Wei arrived in his car. I handed him both the black hand and the remote control. Lou Wei was equally astonished and laughed, saying, "Zheng Nan, how do you always manage to find such strange things?" 0

I could only smile wryly. "Do you think I want to deal with these things? They just come looking for me; I can't help it." 0

Lou Wei laughed heartily and patted my shoulder. "You should spend more effort looking for the last two pages of the Book of Life and Death!" 0

I took out six pages that had already fused together from the Book of Life and Death: "Not long ago, I got another page; now I'm just missing the last one." 0

Upon hearing there were six pages now, Lou Wei couldn't contain his excitement and said with a beaming smile, "That's great! Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to report back up top." He then pretended to sigh dramatically: "If you complete the Book of Life and Death, then my office will have no reason to exist." 0

"Are you suggesting that I should slack off?" I laughed. 0

Lou Wei immediately shook his hands vigorously and said with a laugh, "I didn't say that! If Number One finds out, they'll send someone to replace me right away. I was just joking; you still need to put more effort into finding that last page of the Book of Life and Death!" 0

"But there's been no sign of that last page so far," I frowned. 0

"Take it slow; haste makes waste!" 0

After chatting with me for a bit longer, Lou Wei finally took his leave. 0

I found a place to eat with Fatty, and as we ate, we speculated wildly about this mysterious puppet master. 0

Who could be the mastermind behind this shadowy figure? Who was controlling the remote at that time? Was this high-tech remote lost by accident or intentionally discarded? 0

After some guessing, we were still in the dark. However, one thing was certain: the person using that remote was definitely on-site at the time. But so what? There were at least a hundred people swimming then; who knows who the real mastermind is? 0

When I got home, I discussed this matter with Guo Er and Qing Cheng. They were equally astonished. Guo Er remarked, "From your description, if this high-tech device wasn't mass-produced, its cost could easily run into several million. Using such an expensive item to scare people as a Water Monster seems a bit excessive, doesn't it?" 0

The three of us continued to talk about it, growing more incredulous with each passing moment. Especially Qing Cheng, even while we were happily playing together at night, she gasped and said, "There must be something fishy going on!" 0

Something fishy? I forcefully straightened up, and suddenly there was a soft moan. 0

... 0

Although this matter seemed strange, after a few days, I gradually forgot about it. After all, there are too many things in this world that are hard to understand. Can you comprehend why the moon orbits the Earth while the Earth orbits the sun? Can you understand why Master Cang isn't afraid of adult films and instead switched to making romantic art films? Some things are simply beyond comprehension; with Kung Fu like this, it would be better to play a couple of rounds of billiards or arcade games. 0

For example, Fatty and I were currently in an arcade playing a classic game—Three Kingdoms Battle. I chose Zhuge Liang while Fatty picked Zhao Yun. Our skills were quite poor; we had already lost two lives fighting against Sun Ji in the first stage. However, we didn't care because we had dozens of game tokens piled up on our table... 0

"Fatty, stop stealing my invisibility cloak!" I shouted angrily. "I still need to pick up the fire sword later!" 0

"What does your fire sword have to do with me?" Fatty retorted angrily. "You've already taken two invisibility cloaks." 0

"Damn it! It's not stealing; it's just that I got killed by a ninja because of you!" I cursed as I inserted my third game token, and we were still only on the second stage. 0

Just as we were arguing fiercely, two young men waiting for their turn stared at us in disbelief, seemingly puzzled by how someone like Bai could be so bad at this game. Seeing their strange expressions, I glared at them and said, "Go away; don't just stand there waiting. We're trying to beat the game." 0

The two young men exchanged glances and laughed as they walked away. Before long, they returned out of curiosity and asked me, "Excuse me, are you Ghost Brother?" 0

I glanced sideways at the two of them. Judging by their age, they should be college students. It's such a shame for college students to be out here playing arcade games instead of dating and studying at school. I snorted and said, "Yes, what is it?" 0

"Finally found you!" the two students couldn't help but cheer. One of the taller ones even made a phone call right in front of me, mentioning something about seeing Ghost Brother at a certain street or game room. 0

Hearing their cheer, I was immediately puzzled. "What do you two mean?" 0

"It's like this. Someone at our school is offering a reward to find you, but they didn't know how to contact you and only knew your name is Ghost Brother. When we just stepped out, we happened to hear the guy in charge mention your name, so we turned back to confirm. We didn't expect it to really be you. Now we can get the five hundred bucks," said the slightly shorter student with a smile. 0

Am I only worth five hundred bucks? I was even more confused upon hearing this. I stopped playing the game and turned around to fire off questions: "Which school are you from? Who's looking for me? What do they want with me?" 0

The tall student hung up the phone and replied with a grin, "Ghost Brother, we are from Star City University. The person looking for you is Zhang Hao, one of the top ten Rich Handsome Guys at our school. As for why he wants to find you, I don't know. But the five hundred bucks is definitely guaranteed." 0

Zhang Hao, that name sounded somewhat familiar, but I couldn't recall where I'd heard it before. I turned to Fatty: "Fatty, do you know someone named Zhang Hao?" 0

"I only know one Zhang Hao! Damn it, hurry up! We're running out of time; you're dragging me down!" Fatty looked at the countdown timer on the gray screen and couldn't help but curse. When he saw the two students, he paused for a moment and scratched his head awkwardly: "Yo Xue, just some students. Sorry for losing my composure in front of the flowers of our nation... Zhang Hao, wait, isn't that the student who was swimming by the ferry?" 0

With that, I remembered too. Right! The student I saved was named Zhou Zhixiong, and his girlfriend was called Wen Xiaoxiao. There was also another guy and girl; the guy was named Zhang Hao, and as for the other girl, I think her name was something like Chen Sichun... Oh right, Chen Siying. 0

So it's him. But what does he want from me? I chuckled and said, "Congratulations to both of you for earning five hundred bucks; shouldn't you share some benefits with me? Otherwise, I'm leaving right now." 0

The two students exchanged bewildered glances. The tall student rubbed his nose and suggested, "How about we treat you to a drink called 'Scream'?" 0

Fatty wasn't pleased upon hearing this: "Do you need to treat someone just to scream? Do you believe I can make you scream right now?" 0

The shorter student quickly explained, "Scream is a type of drink. I'm saying we'll treat you to drinks." 0

I waved my hand with a smile: "Alright then, hurry up and buy them." 0

Before long, two bottles of 'Scream' drinks appeared in front of us. While drinking and playing arcade games, about half an hour later, three or four people rushed in from outside. Leading them was none other than the student Zhang Hao whom I had met by the riverbank. Following him were a boy I hadn't seen before—round and chubby—and a girl who was Zhou Zhixiong's girlfriend, Wen Xiaoxiao. 0

"Ghost Brother! We finally found you," Zhang Hao shouted from afar. 0

Behind the three of them, a Muscular Man was roaring, "Are you looking for death? How dare you cause trouble in my territory!" 0

Wen Xiaoxiao quickly explained, "Big Brother, we are here to find Ghost Brother." 0

This Muscular Man was Fei Ge, the bouncer affiliated with Yuhua District's Fatty's Crew. He snorted coldly and said, "If it weren't for you looking for Ghost Brother, I would have taken care of you already. Ghost Brother, do you know these people? If not, I will throw them out right now." 0

I nodded with a smile, and only then did Fei Ge glare fiercely at Zhang Hao before turning to leave. 0

"What’s going on?" I was also a bit confused. What connection could I have with them? Could it be that Zhou Zhixiong's family is wealthy and wanted to thank me for saving him by giving me a few hundred thousand as a token of gratitude? 0

"Ghost Brother, last time you mentioned that if there was something wrong with Da Xiong, you knew a master who could help him calm down, right?" Wen Xiaoxiao interjected. "Da Xiong is talking nonsense now and is in a daze. We took him to the hospital for an examination, but nothing unusual came up. We can only ask Ghost Brother for help." 0

"But I already told you the address," I said in surprise. 0

"At that time, we all thought Da Xiong was fine. Plus, there were four of us and we assumed everyone would remember it. In the end, not one person remembered your location," Zhang Hao said apologetically. 0

"You guys don't believe in any kind of supernatural methods!" The round and chubby young man sneered. "If it weren't for me insisting that Da Xiong was frightened and needed to find a master to calm him down, you probably wouldn't even be thinking about how Ghost Brother's master works right now." 0
