Zhong Kui's Diary
Seeing the Enchantress holding the Ruyi Jingu Bang, Song Yuqing changed her expression drastically. With a wave of her hand, a blood-red hand appeared in the air and rushed towards the woman with a slap. She shouted, "Mengmeng, A Li, act quickly! Don't let that woman's Ruyi Jingu Bang touch Jin Manyuan."
The Enchantress seemed oblivious, slowly reaching towards Jin Manyuan with the Ruyi Jingu Bang. Just as Song Yuqing's blood-red hand was about a foot away from her, it suddenly exploded into countless fragments, as if there were an invisible protective Barrier surrounding her.
Song Xi and A Li both shouted angrily, sending forth a red and a blue orb of light towards the Enchantress. However, their Attack Blessing had already expired, and their magical power had returned to Master-Level, leaving them unable to conjure lions or giant pythons.
When the two orbs were still a meter away from the Enchantress, they also exploded with two loud bangs, shattering into pieces. Just as Song Yuqing and the others gasped in shock, the Ruyi Jingu Bang in the Enchantress's hand had already touched Jin Manyuan's shoulder.
In that instant, I felt the energy from Jin Manyuan suddenly retract. Immediately after, his hands broke free from the pull of the Heaven and Earth Divine Mill, coldly glancing at us. Jin Manyuan took the Ruyi Jingu Bang from the Enchantress, holding it against his chest. He nodded at her and then closed his eyes, standing still.
As Jin Manyuan withdrew his energy, the remaining Yin-Yang Energy within me surged wildly towards the Heaven and Earth Divine Mill, which instantly ground it down to nothing. After my Yin-Yang Energy was depleted, the suction of the Heaven and Earth Divine Mill did not stop; it continued to draw in the last bit of my Devouring Energy. Just as my Devouring Energy was about to be pulled into the Grinder, a mysterious energy suddenly surged within me.
This mysterious energy moved incredibly fast, enveloping my Devouring Energy in an instant. With a powerful squeeze, my Devouring Energy was compressed to the size of a sesame seed, frozen in place and unable to flow on its own.
In my confusion, this mysterious energy transported the sesame-sized Devouring Energy to near my chest's Dan Zhong Point. With another forceful push, it managed to push the Devouring Energy outside of my meridians.
This surprised me greatly. From what I understood about energy systems, if energy is likened to a boat, then meridians are like water; boats must travel on water, and energy must flow within meridians. I had never encountered a situation where energy existed outside of meridians before, especially not within myself. This left me even more astonished.
Then something even more astonishing happened: this mysterious energy actually simulated itself to look like my Devouring Energy, resolutely rushing towards the Cosmic Millstone. In an instant, it was ground into ashes by the Heaven and Earth Divine Mill.
After this mysterious energy was ground away, no further energy was drawn into the Grinder. The compressed sesame-sized Devouring Energy remained hidden outside my meridians near my Dan Zhong Point, without any trace of its presence leaking out.
The situation at the Cosmic Millstone seemed uneasy; a powerful suction force surged into my body, circulating through my meridians several times. After confirming that there was no more energy within me, it ultimately swept away all of my internal power back into the Grinder.
Being subjected to this suction made me feel utterly drained; I collapsed onto the ground with wide eyes and could not make any sound. All I saw was a dazzling silver light emanating from the Grinder, which instantly vanished into thin air.
This series of events seemed tedious but actually transpired in less than two seconds. Just as I fell down, drastic changes occurred on Jin Manyuan's side as well.
If Song Yuqing did not deceive us, and the Mutual Support Technique proportionally drained the magic power of both individuals, then Jin Manyuan should have very little magic power left. With such limited power, it would be impossible to fight, let alone defend himself; he was entirely reliant on that Enchantress who was using an invisible Barrier to protect both of them.
At this critical moment, Song Yuqing and the others seemed to understand the urgency and were frantically attacking the Barrier, hoping to kill Jin Manyuan before he could absorb the Solar God Energy.
The situation in the arena was clear: if Song Yuqing could break through that invisible Barrier before Jin Manyuan absorbed the Solar God Energy, then Jin Manyuan would be killed on the spot. Conversely, if Jin Manyuan managed to absorb enough Solar God Energy before the Barrier was breached, then upon reaching the Xuan Huang Level, he would certainly slaughter Song Yuqing and the others without mercy.
This battle was not just a matter of life and death for them; it was tied to the fate of all humanity. If Jin Manyuan ascended to the Xuan Huang Level, he would likely inherit the consciousness of the Sun God and go on a rampage against humanity. On the other hand, if Song Yuqing killed Jin Manyuan, their Song Family would undoubtedly resort to bloody means to unify the Yin-Yang Realm.
In summary, regardless of which side won, it would not bode well for humanity as a whole. As for me, I would be the first target to be silenced no matter who emerged victorious.
Song Yuqing and his companions were relentlessly attacking the Barrier. Song Xi and A Li continued to use light orbs, while Song Yuqing conjured a massive iron spear, thrusting it fiercely at the invisible Barrier.
The Enchantress could not withstand this level of assault; her skin was bulging with veins like a writhing worm, seemingly on the verge of bursting. Yet she still fought valiantly against the combined attacks of three powerful opponents.
When Song Yuqing's large iron spear struck the Barrier again with great force, she finally let out a cry and spat out a mouthful of blood. With this bloodshed, the protective Barrier could no longer maintain its invisible state and turned into a faint golden hue. The range of protection seemed to shrink slightly as well; now, Song Yuqing's large iron spear was less than ten centimeters away from Jin Manyuan's head.
As for Jin Manyuan, he held the Ruyi Jingu Bang in one hand, resembling a monk in deep meditation, completely ignoring the battle around him. Just as the Enchantress spat out another mouthful of blood and Song Yuqing's golden iron spear came within five centimeters of Jin Manyuan's head, Jin Manyuan suddenly shouted sharply with his eyes still closed. He tilted the Ruyi Jingu Bang from his chest onto his shoulder, and its colorful halo began to flicker rapidly.
A sharp whistling sound came from afar as if something was descending. Then there was a loud explosion as a ten-meter-wide hole was blasted open in the ceiling of the Badminton Hall. Following that, streams of red energy as thick as arms surged in through the opening, rushing towards Jin Manyuan's raised Ruyi Jingu Bang.
"Don't let that red energy touch Ruyi Jingu Bang!" Song Yuqing shouted hoarsely. He pointed with his Spell, and a Purple Energy Hole appeared in mid-air, slowly rotating. At the same time, he yelled, "A Li, quickly summon all members of the Song Family! Mengmeng, keep attacking Jin Manyuan."
With that, he leaped into the air and stood above Jin Manyuan's head. A Azure Green Banana Fan materialized in his hand; every time a stream of red energy approached, he waved his fan to disperse it into thin air.
The streams of red energy pouring in from the hole in the roof increased rapidly. Despite Song Yuqing hastening his fan-waving speed, he still struggled to keep up. Occasionally, one or two streams of red energy slipped through gaps in his fan and were directly absorbed by Ruyi Jingu Bang. Each time Ruyi Jingu Bang absorbed an energy stream, its colorful halo flickered sequentially from top to bottom before a burst of multicolored energy flowed from its end into Jin Manyuan's body.
The current situation in the arena saw Jin Manyuan with closed eyes absorbing Solar God Energy while the Enchantress desperately protected him. Song Yuqing frantically waved his banana fan like a madman; A Li stood beside the Purple Energy Hole reciting spells rapidly while Song Xi exerted herself attacking at that faint golden protective Barrier created by the Enchantress.
Without the magic of Song Yuqing and A Li, Song Xi alone could not generate much attack power. The Enchantress appeared to be less strained than before, and the bulging veins on her skin had also faded somewhat.
Currently, Jin Manyuan was in a favorable position. As long as he absorbed enough Solar God Energy, even without entering the Xuan Huang Level, recovering to the Soul Level of magic would be enough for Song Yuqing and the others to no longer stop him.
As the energy flowing into Jin Manyuan increased, a faint layer of red began to appear on him. Then, this faint red gradually transformed into a light orange, then into a pale yellow... seven colors changed one after another, creating a fantastical scene.
At that moment, A Li, who had been chanting spells nearby, shouted sharply and pointed at the Purple Energy Hole. The originally slowly rotating Purple Energy Hole suddenly began to spin rapidly. Then, A Li pulled hard, and with a pop sound, a person fell out from the Purple Energy Hole.
This person had golden hair and blue eyes; he was John, a Grandmaster Level expert. Right, he should be called Song Feiyang.
Song Feiyang looked around and immediately understood the situation in the arena. Without hesitation, he leaped into the air and stood beside Song Yuqing. He conjured a Short Staff and swung it vigorously; whenever a Red Energy Stream approached, the Short Staff would smash it into oblivion.
As a result, the amount of Red Energy Stream entering Jin Manyuan's body significantly decreased.
A Li shouted again, and another person wearing an Imperial Crown was pulled out from the Purple Energy Hole; it was Jiang Ziyu. Yes, he should be called Song Ziyu.
Song Ziyu did not attempt to intercept the Red Energy Stream but instead assisted Song Xi in attacking the Pale Golden Barrier.
