Both Fatty and I raised our guns, aiming at the doorway. As soon as that right hand dared to show itself, we would fire together. 0

With a Shotgun and a Submachine Gun, I was confident we could take it down. 0

However, there was nothing behind the door. I could see the Avalokiteshvara statue on the wall shrine in front of the Hall, along with some clutter on the Eight Immortals Table below, but there was no sign of anyone opening the door… or any hands. 0

"Who is it?" I shouted loudly, nodding at Fatty. We took a couple of steps forward. 0

"Captain, don’t shoot! It’s me!" A strange voice came from behind the door. 0

Huh, who is this? That right hand didn’t seem capable of speech; it had taken three shots from me and then been blown apart by Fatty, yet it hadn’t made a sound. 0

Could it be that there was someone else behind that door, not that right hand? 0

Thinking this, I called out sternly again, "Whoever you are, if you don’t come out now, we will shoot! This wooden wall won’t stop bullets!" 0

"Don’t! Don’t shoot! I’m coming out right now!" The strange voice from inside sounded somewhat anxious. 0

After waiting for about ten seconds with no one emerging, Fatty lost his temper and shouted, "I’ll count to three. If you don’t come out by then, I’ll shoot! One…" 0

"Please don’t," the voice seemed to struggle to sound different, "How about you count to ten instead?" 0

"Two…" Fatty’s face darkened, looking like he might explode. I was equally furious; damn, why was this guy so annoying? 0

"Oh dear, why are you counting so fast? Please don’t, please don’t! Ami Dad…" The voice chuckled strangely. 0

"Damn!" Fatty didn't count to three and directly pulled the trigger. Suddenly, a row of bullet holes appeared on the Board Wall. 0

"You liar, you don't keep your promises! You haven't even counted to three yet," a sharp voice shouted. 0

"Damn, I don't believe in evil!" Fatty pulled the trigger again, sweeping the Submachine Gun back and forth until he emptied the magazine. I also fired three shots at the Board Wall, which immediately blew a big hole open, revealing the floor of the Hall inside, but I didn't see any figures. 0

"Yao Yao, check it out, selling my love, forcing me to leave..." The voice surprisingly started singing from inside. 0

"Damn!" Fatty took out a magazine and reloaded. This time I stopped him, pointing to my ear to indicate we should listen for the direction of the sound first. 0

"In the end, knowing the truth made me cry, Yao Yao, check it out..." The voice continued singing, seemingly coming from behind the left door. 0

Fatty and I fired simultaneously again, creating another Big Hole in the Board Wall. Then I heard a thud as if something had been hit, and at that moment, the strange voice abruptly stopped. 0

"Did we kill it?" Du Neng asked from behind. 0

"Maybe!" I pulled back the bolt and reloaded with Fatty before cautiously stepping into the Hall. 0

There was nothing inside the Hall, but next to the Big Hole on the Board Wall behind the left door hung a Shanzhai Phone with six speakers. A bullet had hit it, blowing a Big Hole in the phone and exposing its various components inside. 0

Clearly, someone had been using a phone to play tricks on us. 0

"Come in, it's safe now," I called out to Wen Zhan and the others at the door. "Someone is messing with us." 0

Wen Zhan and the others walked in and were astonished to see the counterfeit phone hanging on the Board Wall; then they all smiled wryly. 0

Du Neng explained to us about the structure of this type of room. This old building had a total of six rooms arranged in two rows of three. 0
In the center at the front is the Hall, with a door on each side leading to a room. Behind these two rooms, there are additional doors connecting to further rooms. At the back of the Hall, there is also a side room that does not connect to the Hall but links the two rooms behind it. 0

In any case, the six rooms are sequentially connected. 0

"The house is this big; let's search room by room," I suggested. 0

Everyone nodded in agreement. 0

Fortunately, the doors in this place were not locked, sparing us the trouble of kicking them down. We started searching from the left room, and Fatty, without a care, rushed in and began smashing everything in sight. He left no suspicious spot unchecked, even breaking up the floor into pieces. 0

Du Neng sighed as he watched and asked why. It turned out that everything in this room had some historical value; anything moved out could easily sell for a thousand or eight hundred bucks. Fatty's rampage was destroying money. 0

I wasn't too concerned, but Wen Zhan laughed from the side and said, "Boss Ding calls this brute force overcoming cleverness. Any traps or secret passages are no match for such destruction. If we had to search carefully, we would waste more time than this would cost." At this point, Wen Zhan chuckled, "What? We’re all people who deal in millions every minute." 0

Hearing this made me laugh too; I had watched Stephen Chow's movies several times and naturally remembered that line from Shaolin Soccer. 0

As we laughed, we quickly made a round through the rooms. When we returned from the right side room to the Hall, we surprisingly found no secret passages or traps. 0

"This is strange; could it be that all of this is just a rumor?" Wen Zhan frowned and said, "Since Wei Haibo mentioned gold in the Cellar, there should at least be some connection to it." 0

Suddenly, Fang Feng, who had been silent until now, spoke up: "Is your Cellar like this kind of Cellar?" 0

Looking at Fang Feng, we saw him pointing at his feet. As our gazes followed downwards, we noticed several wooden planks beneath him. Everyone exchanged wry smiles; wasn't this exactly what was rumored to be the Cellar? 0

No wonder we hadn't noticed it; the color of the wooden planks was very similar to that of the floor. Plus, when we entered, our attention was focused on the counterfeit machines on the Board Wall before moving into the rooms to search. We hadn't paid any attention to the floor of the Hall. 0

Cursing under his breath, Fatty lifted a wooden plank and looked underneath. It was about two meters deep but contained no gold—only some sweet potatoes and other crops. We wondered if there were any other mechanisms hidden inside. 0
Fatty slung the gun over his shoulder and prepared to jump down. I quickly called out, "Fatty, wait a moment." 0

Fatty looked up at me and asked, "What is it?" 0

I stepped forward, pulled out my lighter, and patted my pockets but found no paper. After glancing around, I spotted a bamboo sieve on the Eight Immortals Table. I lit it with the lighter and tossed it down. 0

The sieve burned fiercely below, indicating that there was plenty of oxygen down there. If it couldn't burn, that would mean there was no oxygen, or perhaps the place was filled with marsh gas or toxic fumes. 0

While waiting for the sieve to extinguish, I looked around. When I saw the large Hole in the Board Wall, I noticed that the shabby Shanzhai Phone had disappeared. I frowned and said, "Who took that Shanzhai Phone?" 0

Wen Zhan and the others exchanged glances, and Du Neng said, "Aren't we all together? No one separated." 0

Could there be someone else in this room? I told Fatty, "Don't rush down to the Cellar. Let's check the room again." 0

Fatty immediately readied his Submachine Gun and rushed into the left room first. 0

The six of us quickly circled around the room but found nothing unusual. Returning to the Hall, Wen Qianqian whispered in surprise, "Hey, who closed the main door?" 0

Looking up, indeed, the main door of the Hall was closed and had been secured with a latch. Although closing the door didn't have any substantial significance, the other party's stealthy methods made us uneasy. 0

"Damn!" I cursed and gritted my teeth. "Let's split into three groups of two. One group will stay in the Hall to guard while the other two groups search the rooms from both sides. Damn it, let's see where he hides!" 0

Wen Zhan chuckled and said, "Boss Zhong is indeed clever. In that case, I'll team up with Qianqian." 0

"Alright, Wen Zhan and Qianqian will search starting from the Left Room. Fatty and I will search from the right room. Du Neng and Fang Feng will stay in the Hall to keep watch." I nodded. 0

We then split up to carry out our tasks. Fatty and I entered the right room. The front room still showed no signs of anything unusual; however, when we reached the back room, I immediately saw two bloody characters written on the wall—Heart!!! 0

Blood Characters is about one meter square, and because the writing was just painted, the blood flows down along the strokes. Soon, these two characters turned into streaks of blood, and the three exclamation marks fell straight down, resembling three bleeding spears. 0

Who wrote these Blood Characters? What do they mean? What do they want from us? 0

Just as I was staring wide-eyed at Fatty, a scream from Wen Qianqian broke the silence, followed by sounds of a struggle. Fatty and I raised our guns and rushed through the middle room, only to see Wen Qianqian grappling with an arm in mid-air, while Wen Zhan had already vanished. 0

This arm was not the right hand we saw outside the hotel earlier but another left hand. It struck with lightning speed, continuously reaching for Wen Qianqian's throat, while she kept dodging and defending. From the scene, it seemed that Wen Qianqian was actually at a disadvantage. 0

Damn, what is going on? Where is Wen Zhan? What happened to this left hand? 0

However, there was no time to think about that; taking down this left hand was the priority. I aimed my gun for a moment but realized that since the left hand was entangled with Wen Qianqian, shooting would inevitably harm her. I looked at Fatty, who also held his gun with a frustrated expression. 0

I placed my gun into the Mustard Seed Pendant and charged forward. Just as the left hand reached for Wen Qianqian's throat, I boldly made my move, aiming directly for its wrist while shouting, “Qianqian, step back.” 0

Wen Qianqian hesitated for a moment but still complied and stepped aside. 0

Just as I was about to grab the left hand's wrist, it quickly retracted like lightning. Then its fingers spread apart and lunged forward, swiftly reaching for my throat. In its palm was an eye that glimmered with an eerie green light. 0
