Zhong Kui's Diary
"Are you Ghost Brother?"
The timid-looking boy in front of me quickly glanced at us, then shifted his gaze elsewhere, mumbling a question to me.
I exchanged glances with Fatty. Tsk, he's so introverted? It seems he is undoubtedly Wang Bingbing's brother, Wang Teng.
I smiled and nodded, "You should know why we're here, right?"
Wang Teng didn't say anything, just responded with a soft "mm," standing at the door like a quiet handsome man.
I gave Fatty a look, and he immediately shouted, "If you know who we are, then why aren't you stepping aside? Do you want me to beat you up?"
It wasn't that Fatty suddenly lost his mind or took something wrong; it was a deliberate arrangement. Everyone has their limits, and I just wanted Fatty to test where Wang Teng's boundaries lay.
To my surprise, Wang Teng simply said "oh" and obediently stepped back to the side.
I exchanged another glance with Fatty, both of us seeing a hint of helplessness in each other's eyes. This Wang Teng was not just a little introverted; he didn't even get angry at that.
Walking into the room rented by Wang Teng, I found it tidy and clean, with neatly folded bedding and organized computer items. There were even paper cranes hanging on the window. If Wang Teng really didn't have a girlfriend, then he must have folded those cranes himself. Tsk tsk, such delicate craftsmanship, but come on, you're clearly a grown man.
On the computer screen was the interface of the game 'Journey', which I had played for a while. I recognized that the location on the screen was the resurrection point in the royal city. As I leaned closer, I saw that the character controlled by Wang Teng was a scarred bald man named 'Big Bowl Drinking Bandit'.
I couldn't help but chuckle. Who would have thought that someone who wouldn't even respond to being yelled at would dare to call himself Big Bowl Drinking Bandit? Is this some kind of child's play?
Glancing at Wang Teng, he noticed me looking at his game character and blushed slightly, awkwardly saying, "Ghost Brother, this is someone else's account; I'm just playing around."
"I didn't ask you anything; why are you explaining?" I replied with a smile.
Wang Teng immediately looked away, but I caught a glimpse of reluctance in his eyes. My heart stirred; perhaps this was an opportunity for the timid Wang Teng to rise up… to become bold.
I smiled slightly, sat down in front of the computer, and began to guide the character as I started playing.
Wang Teng asked in surprise, "Ghost Brother, what are you doing?"
"Just playing around, you don't mind, do you?" I replied with a smile.
"Uh, not really." Wang Teng hesitated for a while before reluctantly responding.
It seemed there was an opportunity.
Having played Online Games before, I knew the mindset of Online Game players. If someone becomes immersed in a game for a long time, the time invested alone can create a sense of identification with their character, making them feel as if that character is themselves. If I messed around with their character, it would be like messing around with them.
I controlled the Big Bowl Drinking Bandit and rushed to the border, where the battles were most intense. If I kept sending my character to die here, I wondered how anxious Wang Teng would get.
At that moment, a female player named Big-Eating Female Bandit suddenly appeared out of nowhere and said, "Honey, where are you going to play? You didn't bring me along?"
I immediately changed my mind and switched my attack mode from Allied Mode to All-Out Mode.
Wang Teng seemed to realize what I was about to do and raised his voice slightly, "Ghost Brother, what are you going to do?"
"What am I going to do?" I tried to make my expression fierce. "I'm going to kill for fun." With that, I commanded the Big Bowl Drinking Bandit to attack the Big-Eating Female Bandit. A large fireball descended and directly struck her on the head. The female player was momentarily stunned and just kept running around on her horse. Meanwhile, the bandit's name turned bright red instantly.
"Hey, she's my wife!" Wang Teng exclaimed, his voice rising in urgency.
The more he reacted like this, the more motivated I became.
I directed the bandit to continue attacking the Female Bandit while cheerfully saying, "What? Your wife? Then I have to hit her even more; I'm hitting your wife!"
As I spoke, the bandit's fireball struck the Female Bandit again, knocking her down. The female player was furious and typed out a message: "Bandit, are you crazy?"
I quickly sent a reply, making sure Wang Teng could see what I wrote: "I'm hitting you; I've never liked you!"
Wang Teng panicked and rushed over to grab my mouse, shouting, "What exactly are you trying to do?"
Fatty had been standing by and was ready at any moment. Seeing Wang Teng charge at me, he immediately grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back while preparing for a fight.
Wang Bingbing's brother has practiced Taekwondo and seems to have a blue or red belt.
Unexpectedly, Wang Teng was almost pulled to the ground by Fatty and had no intention of fighting back, only shouting loudly, "Hey, stop messing around with my account!"
I controlled the bandit to dismount from the warhorse and sat down on Female Bandit, then while typing, I mockingly said, "Not convinced? Come fight me then. To be honest, I've never liked you; I'm into A-Jiao."
As soon as those words were out, Female Bandit instantly revived and shot an arrow at the bandit, Yo Xue, who was also an archer.
Caught off guard, the bandit was quickly shot down by Female Bandit, who then got up and started fighting back.
After a while, Female Bandit was knocked down by a fireball from the bandit, and shortly after, the bandit was shot down by Female Bandit. They were evenly matched, continuously battling in place.
"Stop fighting! Don't hurt my wife!" Wang Teng tried to rush forward but was held back by Fatty, only able to scream at me desperately, "Stop fighting..."
I ignored him and continued to type while cursing under my breath, "Damn woman, filthy whore." Yet in my heart, I silently thought of Female Bandit, knowing she was innocent, filled with grief and frustration. However, I would apologize later once this was over; for now, I needed her to cooperate and keep fighting.
At the same time, I glanced at Wang Teng, feeling puzzled. This had already crossed his bottom line; why hadn't he exploded yet?
Before coming with Fatty, we had made a plan. The first thing was to provoke Wang Teng's anger; we knew this well. In our younger days, we were timid kids, but after a few fights, we walked down an irreversible path.
Yet Wang Teng hoarsely shouted, "Don't kill her! Don't kill her!"
Tsk tsk, although it was close to his bottom line, it still wasn't quite there. It felt like a soccer player dribbling toward the goal but just missing that final kick. What would it take to touch his bottom line? Damn it, could he be like the Chinese stock market with no bottom line at all?
Just as I was unsure of what to do next, a series of QQ message notifications sounded. I casually opened the chat panel and saw a message from someone named 'Chili': "Teng Ge, have you been hacked?"
I smiled and asked Wang Teng, "Yo Xue, is this Chili someone you met in the game? I didn't expect you to be so sentimental."
Upon hearing 'Chili', Wang Teng's eyes widened in shock and his voice became sharp: "Don't talk to her!"
He wasn't calm; I got excited instead. So Yo Xue is anxious now? That's exactly what I wanted. I quickly typed out a response while saying aloud, "What does it matter to you!"
Fire flared up in Wang Teng's eyes as he struggled fiercely: "How dare you talk to someone like Chili that way! I'm going to fight you! Let go of me, you fat pig!"
Fatty grabbed Wang Teng's hands and chuckled, "Come on, are you about to get angry? Bring it on, I'm ready to Undertake your fury, darling!"
I continued typing while speaking in a strange tone, "Chili, do you know? Every time I indulge, I call your name. On every heart-to-heart tissue, I've drawn your likeness with colorful markers..."
"Ah!" Wang Teng suddenly let out a roar. I turned to see him and Fatty already in a chaotic scuffle. I pushed the keyboard aside and watched them fight with a grin. The tissue talk was just to tease Wang Teng. My messages to Chili were simply about how great the food was today and so on.
After about ten minutes of fighting, both of them lay on the ground panting like dead dogs—no, one was a dead dog and the other a dead pig, because there couldn't possibly be such a fat dog in this world.
"How does it feel? Is it exhilarating to fight someone for the first time?" I squatted down beside Wang Teng with a smile. "Do you feel that rush of adrenaline?"
Wang Teng just glared at me fiercely, his face flushed red and silent. I suspected that if he had any strength left, he would leap at me for a duel. I chuckled, "Actually, I was just teasing your Chili a bit. It seems Chili is your true love."
Upon hearing this, Wang Teng released the tension he had been holding in and collapsed like a lump of mud on the ground. After a while, he grumbled in a rough voice, "Damn, fighting is really exhilarating!"
I laughed and helped both him and Fatty up.
