Meanwhile, Lou Wei's brush had already touched the Purple Energy Sphere, and the sphere was crackling with electricity, revealing faint points of light within it that resembled a Nebula.
Although I didn't know how variable 'Dark and Gloomy' could be, the fact that the impressive Lou Wei was shouting like this indicated it must be quite powerful. I leaped over the sharp iron railing gap and activated my Devouring Energy, delivering a punch directly to the Purple Energy Sphere.
With one punch, I felt the Devouring Energy on my fist vanish without a trace, like a cow sinking into the sea. The surface of the Purple Energy Sphere rippled with waves and quickly returned to its original glowing purple state, while the Nebula inside became even denser than before.
Lou Wei cursed, retracting his brush to his side, and spat out a mouthful of blood before touching the brush to the purple ball again. This time, it seemed to have a good effect; the Purple Energy Sphere shrank from the size of a basketball to that of a fist.
"Put in more effort and shatter it!" Lou Wei shouted at me.
I also retracted my fist, following Lou Wei's example. I spat... saliva onto my fist and used all my strength to strike again at the Purple Energy Sphere.
With a loud bang, as my Devouring Energy surged into the Purple Energy Sphere, it seemed unable to withstand this immense energy and suddenly shrank to the size of a ping pong ball. Before I could rejoice, the ping pong-sized sphere erupted with a purple halo. I felt an extremely violent shockwave slam into my chest, sending me crashing against the iron bars of the cage with a loud clang.

But Lou Wei wasn't as lucky as I was. He was also thrown back like me, but unfortunately, he flew in the direction we had come from. His body soared over the sharp railing, and thankfully he wasn't impaled by it; however, a deep gash was cut into the outer side of his left thigh, exposing flesh and bone.
Diao Qi looked at us with a cold smile: "Knowing full well that I can reverse forces with this kind of Kung Fu, you still dare to use so much strength? Isn't that just asking for disability?"
Lou Wei cursed loudly and somehow managed to press on his wound a few times. The bleeding stopped immediately. He then wiped his palm over it, and surprisingly, the gash began to slowly close up. Although it wasn't healed completely, it looked much less terrifying than before.
Diao Qi sneered again as he reshaped the Purple Energy Sphere in his palm. With both hands spreading outward, the ball rapidly grew larger again. This time, it expanded even faster than before and soon reached about one meter in diameter. At this point, Diao Qi stopped spreading his hands apart; instead, the sphere slowly rotated in his embrace, glowing with brilliant purple light and appearing crystal clear. Countless Nebulae swirled within it, looking incredibly mystical.
Embracing this glowing sphere, Diao Qi looked at us triumphantly: "Thanks to both of you for your strong assistance—first helping me break through successfully and then gathering energy for me. Amid Diao Qi's maniacal laughter, Lou Wei and I exchanged glances and saw deep helplessness and unwillingness reflected in each other's eyes. Resolutely deciding to pull out my Sugar Doll as my trump card, just then footsteps echoed from the passageway. Turning around, I saw Fatty rushing in with a shotgun in hand. Without hesitation upon seeing our situation, he fired a shot at Diao Qi.
Diao Qi looked disdainfully at Fatty as if dismissing his bullets. Suddenly his expression changed; he shouted sharply and dodged swiftly to the left just in time to avoid Fatty's shot. Fatty quickly pumped the shotgun again and fired another shot; Diao Qi barely managed to evade again.
Seeing this made me overjoyed. Although I didn't know what was happening, Diao Qi seemed less agile than Havoc or Chaos when dodging bullets—it appeared he was currently focused on condensing Dark and Gloomy for his ultimate move and had no extra energy for evasive maneuvers.
I hurriedly pulled out a submachine gun from my Mustard Seed Pendant and opened fire on Diao Qi.
Diao Qi paid no attention to my submachine gun bullets; he was solely focused on dodging Fatty's shotgun blasts. My bullets hit him but quickly revealed their effect—while they couldn't harm him directly, they caused him to falter momentarily. This allowed Fatty's shotgun blast to strike his shoulder squarely, creating a large crater.
I pulled out another shotgun and tossed it to Lou Wei. Under the assault of two shotguns and a submachine gun, Diao Qi quickly became covered in wounds. However, what was strange was that the Purple Energy Sphere in his arms showed no fear of bullets; whether it was shotgun or submachine gun bullets, they passed through the Purple Energy Sphere as if cutting through air.
I don't know who it was, but someone shot Diao Qi's left leg, blowing it into two pieces. Diao Qi stumbled, and his movements slowed significantly. Fatty, filled with ferocity, urged me and Lou Wei to pause for a moment while he charged directly in front of Diao Qi. He pressed the gun barrel against Diao Qi's head and fired three shots in quick succession. Diao Qi managed to dodge two shots, but one bullet blasted a big hole in his left cheek.
Fatty let out a strange laugh and quickly retreated to reload. Lou Wei and I immediately opened fire again.
After being hit by that shot, Diao Qi could no longer move quickly. Soon, we had shot him full of holes. Realizing he could no longer withstand our bullets, a fierce light appeared in his eyes. He simply stopped dodging and allowed us to shoot him, grinning wickedly as purple light surged around him.
"Die! — Dark — and — Gloomy!" Diao Qi suddenly shouted, and the purple light on his body seemed to come alive, starting to flow rapidly up and down.
"Heart!" Lou Wei exclaimed in shock. He tossed aside his shotgun and rushed forward with a brush in hand, swiftly drawing runes on the glowing sphere while shouting sternly, "Zheng Nan, attack quickly!"
Attack?
If we attacked, wouldn't that just increase his Dark and Gloomy energy?
However, seeing Lou Wei so frantic made it clear that the situation was dire. Without thinking too much, I activated my Devouring Energy and struck the purple sphere with all my might. As soon as my Devouring Energy made contact with the sphere, I felt something different this time; my energy actually penetrated the surface of the sphere and entered its interior. I could even see my Devouring Energy transforming into a white stream rushing toward the Nebula inside the sphere.
The Nebula within the sphere seemed to sense its nemesis and rushed towards the white stream of Devouring Energy to engage in battle. In an instant, the Devouring Energy merged with the Nebula. Just as I was at a loss for what to do, I saw the Nebula and Devouring Energy burst forth like fireworks within the sphere. At the same time, the purple sphere exploded with a bang, filling the air with white and purple specks of light. A massive shockwave hit me, causing my head to ring before I fainted.
When I slowly regained consciousness, I found myself surrounded by vast white snow. I quickly sat up and saw Fatty lying about five meters in front of me while Lou Wei was lying about ten meters to my left.
I got up to wake them both. The three of us looked around and realized we were in a gorge on a snowy mountain, surrounded by snow-covered peaks with no idea where we were. When I asked Lou Wei, he gave a bitter smile and said he didn't know either.
"Damn it! You're the Dark Overlord; can't you just fly up and take a look? It's like checking a satellite map!" Fatty exclaimed in surprise.
"I don’t know what happened; I've lost more than half of my magical power," Lou Wei said with an even more bitter expression.
Upon hearing this, Fatty's eyes lit up: "Are you sure you've lost more than half your power?"
Lou Wei shot him a cold glance: "Even if I've lost more than half my power, killing you would still be easy."
Fatty laughed heartily: "You're such a bore; I was just concerned about you." He then took out his phone: "Even if you can't use spells, what's the big deal? There's still mobile maps! Amap can tell you your location anytime—oh yeah!"
I scoffed at him: "You idiot! Do you think there will be any signal here?"
Fatty checked his phone and indeed found there was no signal at all. He cursed under his breath as he put his phone away.
I turned to Lou Wei and asked, "Lou Wei, how did we end up here?"
Lou Wei shook his head. "I'm not sure either."
After a moment of hesitation, Lou Wei frowned again and said, "I suspect that Demon King Kui used the Dark and Gloomy ultimate move before dying, but because it absorbed some of your Devouring Energy, it caused a qualitative change in the move. The real situation is probably known only to him."
A cold wind blew by, and we all shivered, quickly rummaging through our Mustard Seed Pendant for clothes.
Lou Wei had a winter coat in his Spatial Bag, while Fatty and I found down jackets in Yun Zhihan's Spatial Bag. There were even a few pairs of sunglasses; Yun Zhihan really was a good person, preparing everything for us perfectly. After putting on the clothes and tying the sunglasses to our heads with a string, we felt much more comfortable.
Fatty's Spatial Bag also contained a lot of random items. He even pulled out a set of pots and pans along with a few pieces of ginger. After the three of us made a pot of ginger soup to drink, we immediately felt warm all over. Choosing a direction, we began to move forward.
In our plan, as long as we climbed over the peak, we would exit this snowy world. Unfortunately, plans often change unexpectedly. Just as we reached halfway up the mountain, Fatty stepped into thin air. We saw large chunks of ice and snow fall beneath him as a big crack suddenly appeared. With the emergence of the crack, Fatty's body began to plummet rapidly.
Seeing this, I quickly lunged forward and lay down on the ground, grabbing Fatty's left wrist with my right hand. I was about to pull him up with all my strength when I realized that the spot where I was lying suddenly sank as well. My body felt weightless as both Fatty and I fell straight down.
