"You little brat, what are you mumbling about? Hurry up! If you mess this up again, it will cost you your life!" The Bald Man urged as he saw Li Dan moving slowly.
Hearing the Bald Man's voice, Li Dan immediately took off like a rabbit and ran. Once he saw Li Dan had left, the Bald Man turned and headed toward their base.

Huo Feng and his group were advancing when suddenly Huo Feng stopped. Nangong Yu and Xuanran also halted, exchanging glances before continuing on, albeit at a slower pace.
Seeing Huo Feng slow down, Li Dan's heart tightened. "What if they discover us? That can't happen; otherwise, I'm really done for."

But at that moment, he realized his feet were immobilized; he had overlooked one woman—Nangong Yu.
Nangong Yu had her hands pressed against the ground, her fingers weaving vines of Origin Force that seeped into the earth. Li Dan's feet were entangled by the surrounding weeds that had spread out like swords. Li Dan opened his mouth to plead for mercy, but just then Huo Feng's attack came crashing down. He felt dizzy, a sweet taste in his mouth as blood trickled from the corner.
At that moment, Xuanran arrived breathlessly and said, "Are you guys bullying me? I'm exhausted." Xuanran looked at Li Dan, who had now regained consciousness but appeared lifeless.
Xuanran strode up to Li Dan and angrily said, "You bastard! I didn't expect you to be a Shadow Demon; you scared us into thinking we might kill a good person." With that, he punched Li Dan squarely in the face.
Li Dan clutched his face in pain, crying out repeatedly, "Please don't kill me! I really will take you there. I swear! Please don't kill me!"
