Upon hearing Huo Feng's voice, the figure jolted awake and sat down on the ground in fright. Terrified, he didn't dare to look up into Huo Feng's eyes and scrambled away from the private room.

"Today was really enjoyable; this past year has been too suffocating. Huo Feng, let's continue drinking when we get back."
Xuanran placed his hand on Huo Feng's shoulder, feeling unsatisfied.
Huo Feng rarely acted this wildly either and felt exceptionally comfortable at that moment. So he replied defiantly, "Let's drink then; who’s afraid? If anyone can't handle it first, they’ll have to bark like a dog in the sky above Holy City."
"Who’s afraid? It might not even be you who barks like a dog!"
"You two are acting like stubborn children right now." Seeing their childlike behavior, Nangong Yu couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh.
Suddenly, Huo Feng turned to Nangong Yu and said, "It's quite late now; you should head back first. Tonight I'm going to Xuanran's place to try the wine from the palace."
Nangong Yu nodded and said, "Then I'll head back first; I'll come find you both tomorrow."
After Nangong Yu left, Xuanran suddenly was no longer in a drunken state. He looked at Huo Feng and said seriously, "Thank you. From now on, as long as you say a word, I, Xuanran, will not hesitate to face any danger."
Xuanran knew that Huo Feng wanted to go to the palace to help him solve some problems. However, neither of them mentioned it.
"Since you still consider me a brother, let's skip the formalities. Come on, take me to the palace for some good wine," Huo Feng said as he grabbed Xuanran and rushed toward the palace.
As they arrived at the entrance of the palace, a Captain of the Guard at Earth Vein Realm Level Two stopped them. He bowed and said, "The Emperor summons His Highness the Third Prince and Huo Feng to meet him."
"Alas! It seems I might not get to drink tonight after all," Huo Feng sighed helplessly.
"Brother Huo Feng, since that's the case, let's resolve these troubles tonight. After we're done, we can drink to our heart's content," Xuanran said with unusual determination, as if he had made a significant decision.
So the two followed the Captain of the Guard toward the hall where the Emperor handled affairs.
Upon entering the hall, Huo Feng and Xuanran saw the Emperor standing with his hands behind his back in the center of the hall, facing away from them. Beside him were the Three Halls Master and Nangong Wuqing, along with Fu Haisheng in a wheelchair and six guards.
At that moment, the Captain of the Guard who led Huo Feng and Xuanran stepped forward and knelt on one knee, saying, "Reporting to Your Majesty, the Third Prince and his companion have arrived."
The Emperor remained with his back turned to them and spoke in a low voice, "Xuanran, do you know your mistake?"
"Father, I do not know. Please enlighten me," Xuanran replied without fear.
"Bastard! You beast dared to let Huo Feng cripple my legs and still do not realize it."
Before the Emperor could speak further, Fu Haisheng could not contain his anger and shouted out loud.
Suddenly, there was a loud "smack," and Fu Haisheng was sent flying along with his wheelchair.
"You are not a good person either, arrogant and self-righteous. With a bit of intelligence, you don't focus on your work but keep thinking about how to deal with your own brothers. Do you think I am dead?"
The Emperor finally erupted, shouting.
He gradually calmed down and then turned to look at Huo Feng, saying, "You are very strong; no one in the Azure Wave Kingdom can match you. My Third Son values loyalty and righteousness, so I dare not easily trust you."
