“Mayor, a gentleman's word is his bond,” Fat Le suddenly stopped and turned his head to look outside.
Seeing Fat Le act this way, Yu Xian curiously turned to look outside as well. At that moment, he realized that it was no longer bright outside, and the beams of light had disappeared; all the stars had dimmed.
“When did this happen? Has my brother Huo Feng finished his training?” Yu Xian murmured.
Fat Le was also uncertain and replied, “It should be.”
“Let’s go take a look; I hope nothing has happened.” Yu Xian, having never encountered such a situation before, felt a bit worried and immediately leaped down from the high building.
Seeing Yu Xian already in motion, Fat Le quickly followed suit, and the two of them headed towards the Training Ground.
In the Training Ground, Huo Feng suddenly sprang up from the ground. At that moment, he felt an abundance of energy within him. He gathered Origin Force into his fists and struck out into the void with dozens of punches before finally stopping.
Taking a long breath, Huo Feng spoke to himself, “This feeling is so comfortable. Why is this training session so much more effective than before? Previously, it would take at least a month to reach the Seventh Level of the Meridian Realm. If only every training session could be like this.”
“Child, are you dreaming? Do you think Star Spirit Resonance can be triggered so easily? It’s not as simple as you think,” came the voice of Seven Star Spirit, sounding annoyed.
“Hehe! I was just thinking. Actually, my previous speed was already quite fast,” Huo Feng chuckled and then asked, “By the way, Stellar Grandpa, what was that Star Spirit Resonance you just mentioned?”
“Star Spirit Resonance is essentially what you refer to as deep meditation. When you enter this state, your gains and insights from training will be extraordinary. In simpler terms, it’s about reaching a state of selflessness, where you become one with nature; your progress will be significantly enhanced.”
After a pause, Seven Star Spirit continued, “However, Star Spirit Resonance is much stronger than your so-called deep meditation; it can also be seen as a form of sublimation. In nature, the quality of Origin Force varies greatly and contains many impurities. Your so-called deep meditation merely allows you to blend into nature and speeds up your absorption of Origin Force, but afterward, you still need to refine it through training.”
“But with Star Spirit Resonance, it’s different. The stars have existed for billions of years; they are formed from the purest Origin Force condensed from the void. During Star Spirit Resonance, you directly absorb the pure Origin Force from the stars after entering deep meditation. The difference between the two is significant.”
Hearing the explanation of the Seven Star Spirit regarding Star Spirit Resonance, Huo Feng was completely stunned. How marvelous is nature! Huo Feng had never thought about how all these phenomena came to be. Not only had Huo Feng never considered this, but it is likely that throughout human history, people have always taken these things for granted.
Just as Huo Feng was digesting these fresh concepts, Yu Xian and Fat Le arrived.
As soon as they walked in, they saw the radiant Huo Feng standing there in a daze. However, when they sensed that Huo Feng's aura had become even more elusive, they finally felt relieved.
At that moment, Huo Feng also sensed their arrival. Coming back to his senses, he smiled at the two and said, "Mayor and Uncle Le, you haven't rested yet."
Yu Xian chuckled and replied, "Brother Huo Feng, with such a commotion these past two nights, how could we dare to sleep or cultivate?"
"Commotion? What commotion? Haven't I been cultivating all along?" Huo Feng was taken aback and somewhat confused.
"You don't know? After you entered deep meditation, your whole body radiated a silvery light. Even the stars in the sky gathered above the town and shot down beams of silvery light towards you. The residents all regarded this as Auspicious Light and came to worship it," Fat Le explained.
Upon hearing this, Huo Feng was once again dumbfounded. He hadn't expected that Star Spirit Resonance would create such a grand spectacle. If he were to suddenly enter that state in public in the future, it could lead to trouble.
However, this was not something he could control; he could only take it one step at a time. Thus, with some apology, Huo Feng said to them, "I'm really sorry; I didn't expect this to happen and caused you trouble. Let's all head back to rest for now. Tomorrow we can discuss preparations for our departure."
With that, Huo Feng vanished from the spot in a flash, leaving Yu Xian and the others standing there in a daze.
The next morning, just as dawn broke, Huo Feng returned to the mayor's residence from outside the town. In fact, he had left eagerly last night because he wanted to take a bath; he ended up soaking in a lake outside the city all night.
"Huo Feng brother, you're back!"
As Huo Feng passed through the hall, he heard Ling calling out his name. Turning around, he saw Ling Zhi and his brother along with Mayor Ahua and Yan'er all gathered in the hall.
Huo Feng walked in and smiled, "You are all here. Are you feeling better now?"
The Ling Zhi brothers and Ahua replied, "We're fine now. Thank you for saving us and the whole town."
"There's no need to be polite. Since you're all okay, go get ready and we'll set off," Huo Feng said.
"Hahaha, they have been eager to go out and see the world. They were ready early this morning, just waiting for you," Yu Xian said as he stepped forward, laughing heartily.
Huo Feng laughed as well, saying, "I can't wait either. Let's get going then."
Hearing Huo Feng, the three of them showed excited expressions.
"Alright, since that's the case, you all can set off now. Just be careful," Yu Xian took on a more elder-like demeanor at that moment.
"Dad, I want to go too."
Just as they were about to leave, Yan'er suddenly spoke up.
Yu Xian replied with slight anger, "Nonsense! You stay at home and behave."
Seeing Yu Xian's firm attitude, Yan'er knew it was pointless to argue, so she angrily stormed out of the hall.
Yu Xian sighed and shook his head, saying, "Sigh! She'll be fine in a few days. You all go ahead."
Thus, the four of them left Maple Town in a hurry.
"Strange, it's already been a while, yet we haven't come across a single populated place," Ahua said, scratching his head.
"Our town is too remote; it will probably take us two more days to reach a place called Earth City," Ling Dao replied.
Ling Zhi, who didn't get along with Ahua, joined in the conversation and said, "You simple-minded fellow, if you don't understand anything, just keep quiet."
Ahua, angered by this, shouted, "You bastard! Who are you calling simple-minded?"
"Shh! Haven't you noticed that someone has been following us this whole time?" Huo Feng suddenly interjected.
Upon hearing Huo Feng's words, the three immediately stopped arguing and assumed a defensive posture.
Huo Feng stepped forward and said, "Don't worry; it's not an enemy. I just sensed that her aura belongs to someone we know."
After saying this, Huo Feng turned and called out to a spot in the woods, "Come out; don't hide. I've already noticed you."
Moments later, a figure emerged from behind a tree.
"Sister Yan! What brings you here?"
