Star Dragon God
While Huo Feng was lost in thought, Li Tie had to bury his resentment deep inside and continue with his duties.
Li Tie spoke in a low, somewhat frightening voice, "Now let me explain the function of the identity bracelet and the related issues regarding the mission board. First, you should all have received a wristband; this wristband is your identity token. When you inject your information into it, it will display the name you filled out during registration, along with your basic information. Every time you complete a mission, the Points you earn will be recorded on it. Once your Points reach one hundred thousand, you can apply to become a Sky Knight."
"Next, let me tell you about the mission board. The missions on this board are filtered by the department responsible for accepting missions outside of Underground Soldier City, selecting those with a certain level of difficulty to be issued within Underground Soldier City. Then, the people in Underground Soldier City categorize these missions by difficulty. This is crucial: missions here are divided into four levels, from highest to lowest: S-level, A-level, B-Rank, and C-level; there is also a D-level, but those missions are completed by apprentice Cavalry from the outer city."
"Now regarding the rewards for each level of mission: completing a C-level mission rewards 100 Points; a B-Rank mission rewards 1,000 Points; an A-level mission rewards 10,000 Points; and an S-level mission rewards 100,000 Points."
At this point, Li Tie paused and looked at the crowd of newcomers before him. Most of these newcomers seemed somewhat confused; they did not understand whether these tasks were easy or difficult. From this simple description, it appeared that achieving the foundational score to become a Sky Knight seemed quite easy given the high rewards.
Finally, someone couldn't help but ask, "So what is the actual difficulty of these missions?"
This question echoed everyone's thoughts, prompting others to chime in as well. Only then did Li Tie continue, "Good question; you've hit upon the key issue. Now let me explain the difficulty of these missions. A C-level mission's difficulty is equivalent to fighting for your life against someone at the Tribulation Pulse Realm Level Three; a B-Rank mission is like battling someone at the Earth Vein Realm Level Five for your life; an A-level mission corresponds to fighting someone at the Seventh Level of the Meridian Realm for your life; as for S-level missions, no one has succeeded in completing them except for the three great generals, who are all at the Eighth Level of Human Pulse Realm. You can imagine how difficult that is."
"Lastly, I have some advice: for your own safety, it's best to form teams because despite the difficulty distribution, unexpected situations often arise. However, teams cannot exceed four members, and the Points earned from completing missions will be evenly divided among team members. That's all I have to say; now you have your own time to decide whether to team up or act alone. You can start taking on missions soon."
After finishing his speech, Li Tie cast one last long glance at Huo Feng, then turned and left the hall.
The hall erupted into excitement as thousands gathered together to form teams and discuss missions. Meanwhile, Huo Feng was fiddling with the identity token he received from Scar Strong, wondering to himself how many resources were left among the top eight.
"Ruo Feng Brother, you really scared us earlier! How did you offend that terrifying Fellow?"
Upon hearing this familiar voice, Huo Feng turned around and smiled, "I didn't do anything wrong; I'm fine now, so there's no need to worry."
At that moment, beside Ling was Yan'er, his brother Ling Zhi, and their roommate Miyan.
As they approached Huo Feng, Miyan suddenly slapped him on the shoulder and said, "Brother, we were supposed to form a team of four! But these two insisted on bringing a girl along. Isn't that frustrating? Now we're five people instead! What do you think?"
Ling stepped forward and said, "The three of us were originally together, and this Ruo Feng Brother has known that for a long time."
Huo Feng had initially planned to act alone; he wanted to take advantage of the time spent on missions to practice outside. Now, this worked out perfectly, so he smiled and said, "You all make four, but I intended to go solo."
"Don't, Ruo Feng Brother. I was just joking. I know you all are already acquainted privately; how could I possibly want to separate you?" Miyan said apologetically. Miyan had only intended to tease, not realizing that Huo Feng might take it seriously.
The Ling Brothers looked at Huo Feng with questioning expressions. Huo Feng guessed their thoughts and replied, "I really mean it. Before I met you all, I was always a lone wolf. I'm used to it, and I want to push myself through various dangers and challenges, so I've decided to act alone."
"Hahaha... just as I thought! And I believe Ruo Feng Brother has the ability. You don't know, just now Ruo Feng Brother defeated an old Cavalry over at the Training Arena." At that moment, Ruan Yiqing walked over with a hearty laugh.
Hearing this, the four of them were stunned, even Yan'er’s expression changed. She hadn’t expected that despite Huo Feng's seemingly harmless appearance, he possessed such powerful strength and troublemaking skills, immediately attracting attention.
Seeing their shocked expressions, Huo Feng smiled and said, "Stop being dazed; it's decided. Let's hurry and check out the missions; otherwise, good ones will be snatched away by others."
Huo Feng's words snapped everyone back to reality. Miyan slapped his bald head and said, "Right! How could we not think of that? Let’s hurry and check the missions."
The six of them then hurried toward the mission board.
Despite the difficulty in forming teams, the area for regular missions was still the most crowded. It was packed with people. The B-Rank section also had quite a few people but was relatively less crowded. Most individuals in the B-Rank area were at least at Tribulation Pulse Realm Three or higher; even the weakest among them was at Earth Vein Realm Level Two, which was quite rare.
Huo Feng and his group of six headed straight for the B-Rank missions since Ling and the others had all reached Tribulation Pulse Realm Three; naturally, regular missions posed no challenge for them. As for Huo Feng and Ruan Yiqing, they had even less reason to worry.
To find the mission they wanted, the six temporarily split up. Huo Feng began examining each mission on the board when suddenly one caught his eye.
Mission: B-Rank, Hunt 100 Thorny Earth Demon Boars (with Thorned Earth Demon Boar King present)
Location: Rugged City, Kimuura
Completion Requirements: Kill the Thorned Earth Demon Boar King and 100 Thorny Earth Demon Boars
Reward: 1000 Points
Upon seeing this, Huo Feng had an idea. The mission location was remote; thus, even if he practiced outside for a while longer, he likely wouldn't attract attention. Additionally, the Thorned Earth Demon Boar King presented a certain level of challenge. So Huo Feng noted down the mission number and approached the counter where an old man sat. Huo Feng walked up and asked, "Excuse me, sir, has anyone taken mission number one?"
"Not yet, are you going to take it?" the old man asked calmly, not even looking at Huo Feng.
Huo Feng handed over the identity badge with a smile and said, "Yeah, help me take on this mission."
"Are you sure you want to do this alone?" The old man finally lifted his head to glance at Huo Feng and asked.
Huo Feng still smiled as he replied, "I'm sure."
The old man didn't say anything more, just shook his head and took Huo Feng's identity badge.
Meanwhile, in the distance, Tie had not left. He hid in the shadows, staring intently at Huo Feng, clenching his fists tightly and gritting his teeth as he muttered, "Bastard, how dare you take on such a mission. I'll follow you and watch you die."
