Star Dragon God
Huo Feng thought about how both he and Ice were now in the Vein Realm, where they had become unmatched experts. He turned to the clan leader Mo Qi and said seriously, "Alright, I agree. For safety's sake, I suggest you place the elderly, weak, and children of your clan under the large tree where the Wind Serpent resides for a while. Once you have arranged everything, I will let Ice remove the barrier."
Since Mo Qi had made up his mind, he did not hesitate. He nodded and said, "Okay, I trust you. I will arrange this right away; please wait patiently."
After Mo Qi left, Huo Feng picked up his wine cup and walked over to the colorful cocoon, curiously observing it. He felt a sense of satisfaction; having received various forms of help on his journey, he had now reached a level where he was nearly unbeatable. As a boy about to turn sixteen, it was natural for him to feel a bit inflated with pride.
After watching for a while, Huo Feng stored the Phantom Butterfly in the Narcissistic Ring, then sat down at the table and filled his cup again. Leaning back in his chair, he casually said to Ice, "Ice, can you tell me what the situation is like in Otherworld?"
Ice noticed that Huo Feng had changed slightly and replied earnestly, "You'll find out when you go there. With my current strength, I can only hide inside."
Just as Ice was about to continue speaking, Mo Qi suddenly returned with a group of people. He pressed a button on the side of the hall door, causing a section of the floor to open up around them. Huo Feng and the others moved aside as the ground shifted.
A cave appeared beneath them, and Mo Qi led the elderly, weak, and children into it. Moments later, he emerged again and closed the ground behind him. He approached Huo Feng and said, "Brother Huo Feng, everything is arranged."
Huo Feng set down his cup and smiled at Mo Qi, then turned to Ice and said, "You hide in the tree and deactivate this barrier while concealing your presence. I'll do the same. The moment the Teleportation Array activates, we will reveal ourselves."
Afterward, Huo Feng reassured Mo Qi, "Don't worry; we will keep an eye on you and ensure you are not harmed."
Mo Qi nodded and walked toward the treehouse entrance. Huo Feng took Ice outside as well. He leaped onto one of the massive branches of the treehouse and concealed his presence.
In an instant, Ice deactivated the barrier. The Master, who had been inexplicably igniting flames below them, immediately noticed this change and broke into a smile. It seemed he feared that the barrier would reappear; with a wave of his hand, he rushed inside.
Upon reaching Mo Qi and the others, he began to grin menacingly but then suddenly became serious as if recalling something important. He looked around cautiously before instructing the remaining ten or so Sky Knights, "You all spread out quickly around the great tree and see if there are any unusual movements."
He then approached Mo Qi, who turned away with an unhappy expression. The Thunderstrike Hall Master looked at him and said, "I don't know what happened with your previous barrier. Also, how do you have such a strange yet powerful magical beast here? What is its relationship with you? Where is it hiding?"
"Hmph! Do you have things you're afraid of too, Thunderstrike Hall Master?" Mo Qi scoffed sarcastically.
The Master was indeed fearful of Ice's earlier appearance; her strength was nothing short of a nightmare for them. It was no wonder he was so anxious. However, facing someone he had chased down before ignited his pride as an upper-class individual. He declared arrogantly, "Let me tell you something: I've never been afraid of anyone; it's always others who fear me. Only your useless crippled race would rely on others' kindness for support. You better obediently activate the guiding magic orb for me; you should know that trying to oppose me is destined for failure and could lead to your extinction. Even if that magical beast helps you, it would still be easy for my vast Azure Calamity Nation to wipe you out."
Mo Qi showed a troubled expression, turned to look at the clansmen behind him, and finally sighed, saying to Master, "Yes, I had already thought of your suggestion, but this is a wish left by our ancestors. Would you easily abandon it? However, now that it has come to this point, I have also come to terms with it. If we are to do this, let me be the sinner. But you must guarantee that after I activate the magic orb for you, you will not harm my clansmen in any way; otherwise, there is no discussion."
Master also wanted to complete the teleportation as soon as possible; he did not want to delay and cause complications, especially since he still feared Bing and was unsure if Bing was allied with Mo Qi. Thus, he readily agreed, "That is naturally not a problem. I only wish to go to the place where your ancestors went; I have no interest in harming your weak race."
"Then follow me," Mo Qi said as he turned to his clansmen and instructed, "You all stay in the hall."
Mo Qi then led Master and the other two towards the top of the treehouse while Huo Feng and Bing hid in the tree, secretly observing their movements.
At this moment, Huo Feng whispered something to Bing, who then flew down towards the base of the tree while Huo Feng slowly approached the top of the treehouse.
When they reached the area illuminated by the Red Light at the top of the treehouse, they all stopped. Huo Feng concealed himself on a nearby branch; at that moment, Bing came beside Huo Feng and gave him a strange look. Huo Feng smiled knowingly and then both looked towards Mo Qi.
Mo Qi arrived at the spot illuminated by the Red Light, clasped his hands together, and silently recited something. Then he opened his palms and gently slapped them against the main trunk at the top of the tree.
Suddenly, a portal opened where the Red Light shone, and green light immediately burst forth from within. At that moment, Master excitedly exclaimed, "We're just one step away now; I must succeed."
His expression was somewhat ferocious with excitement, but excitement aside, he quickly calmed down and focused on casting his secret technique.
As Master began to cast his secret technique, the green guiding magic orb floated out on its own while drawing in the Red Light. The color of the green magic orb began to change into something eerie; its green shell glowed with vibrant red from within, and as it absorbed the Red Light, it started to grow larger.
Gradually, Huo Feng seemed to sense something approaching from this direction. Turning around, he saw Wind Serpent King flying towards them with blood-red eyes as if possessed, with a throne connected to the Red Light atop its head.
Wind Serpent King stopped near Master and Mo Qi while the Red Light almost completely merged with the green magic orb. In an instant, the central Ore Serpent Head on the throne suddenly grew two or three times larger than before. The Green Magic Orb completely disconnected from the red pipeline and instantly split into two large magic orbs floating in mid-air.
Master's smile grew wider as he began to mutter to himself, "Quickly, quickly... finally realized it; we're just one step away! Hahaha..."
At that moment, Wind Serpent King began to move. The throne hovered in mid-air; except for the central eye which was hollowed out, all other Ore Serpent Heads had red eyes. Wind Serpent King approached one of the split magic orbs and shot red light from its eyes towards them. The two magic orbs began to tremble and then emitted red smoke-like wisps.
Suddenly, these two magic orbs rapidly shot towards the central Ore Serpent Head. Its tongue suddenly lifted as if about to roar; then its two new eyes began to change colors instantaneously into one red and one green, each emitting different colored smoke that looked even more terrifying than Wind Serpent King itself.
At this moment, the Wind Serpent King regained consciousness, its eyes no longer red. It landed in front of the Master, glaring at him with fury while flicking its tongue; however, it did not attack the Master but instead approached Mo Qi.
Suddenly, Mo Qi spoke up: "Once this thing is activated, it cannot be stopped. We better cooperate to complete it; otherwise, the consequences will be even more severe."
"Of course, I fully support that," the Master said as he turned to look at the Wind Serpent King, then added, "But I wonder what this beast will do?"
The Wind Serpent King angrily swept its tail towards the Master, but the Master easily blocked it without any harm. However, the Master anxiously said, "You beast, even if you don't care about other creatures, at least you should care about your own kind. They have survived here with you for so long; are you really going to just watch them die?"
In a fit of urgency, the Master began to lecture the Wind Serpent King. Surprisingly, it seemed to understand his words and ceased its attacks. Its eyes turned red again, but this time with a sense of self-awareness. The red glow from its eyes instantly controlled the remaining Ore Serpent Head.
Seeing the Wind Serpent King take action, the Master quieted down and began to perform a secret technique. He spread his hands apart, and a gray light rose from them, slowly drifting toward the four legs of the throne and wrapping around them. Mo Qi also started to act; he pressed both palms against the ancient tree and softly murmured. The leaves of the ancient tree began to turn yellow and fall. Soon after, a verdant Crystal formed in Mo Qi's palm. He gently pinched it with his fingers, and it transformed into a cloud of green mist that floated toward the central Ore Serpent Head and entered its mind.
Once all of this was completed, both individuals and the serpent closed their eyes. The Master and Mo Qi sat on the ground with their eyes shut tight while the Wind Serpent King hovered beside them with its eyes closed.
Huo Feng curiously observed them, surprised by how complex this Teleportation Array was set up for some unknown purpose. Huo Feng couldn't make sense of it and could only hope that traveling to Otherworld would provide answers.
Not long after they closed their eyes and settled down, the throne suddenly seemed to gain consciousness and vanished before their eyes faster than Huo Feng's Meteoric Steps.
