Star Dragon God
As Huo Feng felt the ground beneath him, he was suddenly overwhelmed by several terrifying auras, causing him to collapse to the ground. Sweat poured from his forehead, and he felt as if he couldn't lift his head. He could only faintly hear voices arguing in the air.
"Hmph! You all pride yourselves on being righteous, but in truth, you are nothing but a bunch of hypocritical bastards. We were originally just a group of carefree individuals, unaware of the world around us. Yet, because our strength is too great, you see us as a threat and want to subdue us; when that fails, you seek to eliminate us, all while hypocritically claiming we are aberrations that threaten others' existence. If it weren't for your pressure, we wouldn't have united to form this Free Alliance to shelter those oppressed by you."
"Since ancient times, evil has never triumphed over righteousness; nothing will change that. You wicked outsiders gather various idlers together for some ulterior motive. We, the defenders of justice, have an obligation to unite and eradicate you. Today, we will first eliminate your leaders; once you are dead, your so-called Justice Alliance will surely collapse."
"Hmph! It's not about numbers; you all value your lives too much. If you want to fight, then fight—stop talking nonsense."
Huo Feng lay on the ground, unable to lift his head to see what was happening. When the challenge to fight was issued, the air around him seemed to freeze. He could hear various explosive sounds in the air and catch glimpses of flashes from the corner of his eye.
At that moment, the voice of the Seven Star Spirit echoed in Huo Feng's mind. "Now you understand how vast the gap is between Otherworld and your domain, right? If you stay there for long, you'll remain like this forever; at most, you'll reach the peak of Vein Realm."
Huo Feng realized that before he had only known that Vein Realm and Calamity Pulse Realm were supposed to be powerful but had never felt such an overwhelming sensation firsthand. This kind of pressure would be enough to crush anyone below Earth Vein Realm; he weakly asked in his heart, "Stellar Grandpa, do you know what level those fighting in the air are?"
The Seven Star Spirit replied, "Among those eight above, four are at the initial level of Calamity Pulse Realm Oblivion Tempest; the others are at Ninth Level of Connection. However, these are still among the top powers outside those hidden families. You have a long way to go."
Huo Feng was even more shocked; if those hidden families were even stronger, then his gap was too vast. Ruo Xi had fallen from Vein Realm when she came to him years ago—wasn't it even more terrifying now? He wondered if she was one of those hidden family members; it seemed his path was indeed very long.
He didn't know how long he had been lost in thought when suddenly Huo Feng felt a release throughout his body and relaxed from his tense state, collapsing like a deflated balloon.
Huo Feng looked up into the sky and saw five figures swooping down towards him. He quickly stood up with heightened vigilance and stared at them calmly.
As they approached Huo Feng, he noticed that the first two were middle-aged men dressed in luxurious clothing with black hair and solemn faces. The three behind them were supporting each other.
One of the two men stepped forward and asked Huo Feng, "Who are you? How did you end up here?"
The other man looked puzzled as well and said, "Brother Duan, did you notice that there were subtle fluctuations in this space while we were confronting Free Alliance?"
"Indeed, I noticed," Brother Duan replied as he turned to Huo Feng. "Where did you come from? What is your purpose?"
Huo Feng quickly composed himself; he didn't want to offend such powerful beings upon arrival. He nervously replied, "I don't know either. I'm from a remote place and was originally cultivating in Beast Mountain Range when suddenly everything went dark and I found myself here."
Upon hearing Huo Feng's words, Brother Duan and the other man frowned. However, they couldn't find any flaws in Huo Feng's rustic appearance. Only a fleeting glimmer of something unusual passed through Brother Duan's eyes.
At that moment, another person said, "Looks like he's just a bumpkin. Let's hurry back; bastards! I can't believe they managed to escape this time. I'm worried they might take action; we should return quickly to arrange things."
Duan looked deeply at Huo Feng and then said, "Brother Leng, let's hurry back."
With that, the five of them left the area. It wasn't until they were out of sight that Huo Feng let out a sigh of relief. At that moment, he realized he was on a desolate mountain. The surroundings were barren, with only various oddly shaped rocks and hardly any trees or even weeds, giving off a feeling of lifelessness. Huo Feng then wondered why Bing had not arrived yet.
Just then, Huo Feng faintly heard rustling sounds. He was startled; could those people have returned? But he quickly dismissed that thought when he sensed only one presence nearby, and it was weaker than his own, with a hint of familiarity.
A smile crept onto Huo Feng's face as he swiftly moved behind a large rock and discovered an old man with a gray beard preparing to escape. The old man noticed Huo Feng as well and frowned, saying, "I didn't expect you bastards to come so quickly."
Huo Feng chuckled and replied, "It seems you won't be able to escape this time, Master."
The old man was the Master of Thunderstrike Hall. Huo Feng didn't know how he had evaded detection from those people, but it didn't matter now; he was determined to kill him.
Huo Feng didn't want to waste time talking, fearing those people might suddenly return. He charged at the Master with shadows flickering around his fists.
"Nether Break!"
Now that Huo Feng was at the Vein Realm, the Master could only think about fighting back while trying to escape. He shouted, "Defense Technique, Block!"
A large black character for "Defend" flew toward Huo Feng while the Master desperately retreated. However, Huo Feng's countless fist shadows pierced through the Master's defenses. This left the Master in shock; he had thought it would delay Huo Feng for a moment, but he was wrong. Huo Feng easily bypassed his defense and closed in.
Huo Feng pursued the Master closely as the latter exclaimed in panic, "Don't kill me! We come from the same place; it would be much easier if we looked out for each other."
"Look out for you? I wouldn't even know how I died! You should just die," Huo Feng remembered how he treated his own people; having someone like him around was more dangerous than anything else.
The Master looked at Huo Feng in despair and stopped resisting. However, Huo Feng knew he wouldn't surrender easily. But now, Huo Feng wasn't afraid of any tricks he might try.
In an instant, Huo Feng's right hand transformed into a dragon claw and swiftly reached for the Master's heart.
Just then, Huo Feng found himself unable to move as a terrifying aura from the earlier battle approached from behind. To his surprise, they had returned; Huo Feng struggled to turn around and saw only Duan.
Duan approached Huo Feng with interest in his eyes as he looked at Huo Feng's right hand turned into a dragon claw. Just as he was about to say something, he suddenly looked at the Master in surprise and said, "Uncle?"
The word "Uncle" stunned both Huo Feng and the Master. Duan then frowned and said, "You are not Uncle; who exactly are you? Speak honestly or I will turn you to dust."
The Master's eyes flickered before he laughed like a street rogue and said, "I come from Another World; you should know that. Otherwise, how could I look so much like your Uncle?"
It seemed that the Master's gaze was conveying something to Duan. Duan then looked at the Master seriously and asked, "Are you Duan?"
"Yes, my name is Duan Chongyang. I assume you also..."
"Shut up." Master was interrupted by Duan's command. He then turned to Huo Feng and said, "When my lever was affected by the spatial fluctuations, I knew where you had been teleported from. I didn't expect not only that, but you also have this thing. This truly piques my curiosity; it seems I've struck gold upon my return."
Huo Feng glared at him with anger in his eyes. He knew he was in deep trouble now, being targeted by such a powerful opponent; he couldn't even move an inch. However, Huo Feng was unwilling to accept this fate. He had come to this realm with great difficulty and had yet to see Ruo Xi. He wanted to live happily with Ruo Xi and didn't want it all to end like this.
The more Huo Feng thought about it, the more unwilling he became. His eyes turned red with fury, and despite being unable to move, his aura continued to rise. Duan, however, did not stop Huo Feng but instead watched him with great interest, seemingly looking forward to what would happen next.
Seeing Huo Feng like this made Master wish for his demise even more, so he said to Duan, "This kid is quite strange; I think it would be best for you to deal with him sooner rather than later."
"Do I need your advice on how to handle things?" Duan shot a glare at Master.
Master shrank back in fear and stepped away. At that moment, Huo Feng's eyes transformed into Crimson Demon Eyes. Simultaneously, Huo Feng's body morphed into a nearly three-meter-tall Golden Wyvern, staring intently at Duan.
Duan looked at Huo Feng's transformation in shock and exclaimed, "How is this possible? Are you a poet or a Golden Wyvern? How can you transform back and forth? This is too strange; I'm even more interested in the secrets you hold, hahaha..."
At that moment, in a deep and eerie space within a massive castle, a girl who had been staring out the window suddenly straightened up and murmured to herself, "What's going on? Why do I suddenly sense Brother Feng's presence?"
