Huo Feng took a deep breath. If he hadn't absorbed the residual power from that forbidden area, he would never have reached this level. He definitely wouldn't have been able to handle Duan Huan so easily. If Duan Huan went berserk, Huo Feng might even lose his life.
During his retreat in the forbidden area, Huo Feng absorbed all the strange Origin Force through the Star Spirit Fragment. However, he vaguely felt that these Origin Forces were somewhat special. At this point, the Origin Force sphere in his hands had grown as large as a human head. Gritting his teeth, Huo Feng realized he had reached his limit; the Origin Force sphere stopped growing.
With a loud shout, Huo Feng suddenly pushed the Origin Force sphere upward. The sphere floated above everyone's heads as he extended his right index finger toward it.
"Holy Star Radiance"
Suddenly, a silver beam shot from Huo Feng's fingertip toward the Origin Force sphere above everyone's heads. In an instant, the Origin Force sphere shone like a solitary star in the night sky, enveloping everyone on the ground in silver light, including Huo Feng himself.
Huo Feng suddenly felt a wave of relief throughout his body, and the Origin Force was slowly recovering. He was pleasantly surprised; when he inherited the "Holy Star Radiance" Combat Technique, he only knew it could help heal others, not that it would work for himself as well. However, helping so many people at once was a bit overwhelming for him, especially since it was his first time using this Combat Technique, and he struggled to control it, resulting in significant energy consumption.
After glancing at the glowing sphere of Origin Force in the sky, Huo Feng felt reassured that it would last for a while longer. He then looked at the members of the Free Alliance, noticing their gradually relaxing expressions. Even Zhao Alliance Leader, who had been severely injured, now appeared to have a bit of color returning to his face.
However, when Huo Feng saw the black aura emanating from Zhao Alliance Leader's chest wound, he furrowed his brow. He wasn't confident about dealing with this issue but decided to give it a try and see if he could help expel the Black Elemental Aura.
Placing his hands on Zhao Alliance Leader's injury, Huo Feng released Silver Energy, attempting to force out the Black Elemental Aura from his chest. Yet after a while, there was no effect. This puzzled Huo Feng; why couldn't his Origin Force compress against that black aura? It seemed unable to push it away and merely surrounded it.
Suddenly, Huo Feng sensed something unusual. The strange Origin Force within him began to move, quickly flowing into his hands and seemingly merging with the Silver Energy without any conflict. At that moment, as Huo Feng was astonished by this unexpected movement of the special Origin Force, it rapidly fused with the Silver Energy he was releasing, transforming into a silvery-gray Origin Force.
Huo Feng was startled and worried that this incomprehensible change might harm Zhao Alliance Leader. Just as he prepared to withdraw his hand, the silvery-gray Origin Force began absorbing the black aura from Zhao Alliance Leader's chest. Huo Feng immediately checked Zhao Alliance Leader's condition and found that there was no adverse effect, which relieved him enough to continue absorbing.
Once he completely absorbed the black aura from Zhao Alliance Leader's chest, Huo Feng noticed that the silvery-gray Origin Force immediately refined the black aura into Stellar Energy within his body. After everything was completed, that mass of silvery-gray Origin Force quickly disintegrated. The special Origin Force he had absorbed in that forbidden area finally transformed into a Black Elemental Power sphere and settled quietly in his dantian.
Huo Feng took several moments to regain his composure. He hadn't expected this thing he worried might negatively affect him would actually have such an effect. At that moment, a strange idea formed in Huo Feng's mind, one that excited him more and more as he thought about it, prompting him to want to try it out immediately.
However, Huo Feng suddenly remembered Ice; he had left Ice behind to deal with the six elders of Xiaoyao Fortress. Although Huo Feng believed Ice could handle it completely, nearly a month had passed without any sign of Ice's return. This made Huo Feng anxious and concerned about other unforeseen circumstances. Meanwhile, those present were slowly recovering; Huo Feng's Holy Star Radiance still had enough power to bring them back from danger.
As Huo Feng stood up, he approached Rofu, who was currently immersed in this wonderful moment and completely unaware of Huo Feng's approach. Huo Feng gently patted Rofu on the shoulder. Rofu opened his eyes and upon seeing Huo Feng exclaimed in delight, "Brother Huo Feng! You are simply incredible! How can you be so amazing? It's like there's nothing you can't do! Hahaha..."
Huo Feng smiled slightly before becoming serious again. "Brother Luo, everyone here is temporarily safe now. You're stronger and less injured than the rest; I need you to watch over them."
"Where are you going? Are you heading to Underworld Palace now? Brother Huo Feng, wait a bit longer! Let's wait until we all recover before going together; Underworld Palace is the most mysterious among the Three Major Forces—don't take it lightly," Rofu said with concern for Huo Feng. Although he believed in Huo Feng's ability to create miracles, he knew no one could be lucky all the time.
Huo Feng chuckled and replied, "I need to find my friend Ice; he hasn't come yet and I'm worried something happened to him. I'll make my decision after I bring him back."
Rofu then relaxed and said, "Oh! In that case, go quickly! Everyone here is injured; otherwise, I would go with you."
"I'll go then." Huo Feng stood up and turned to walk back the way he came.
When Huo Feng reached the mountain he had been at before and entered deeper into the mountain, he noticed that the area was filled with a bloody stench. He hurried towards the place where they had fought earlier.
However, when Huo Feng arrived there, he found the ground littered with mangled corpses, but there was no ice and no living beings present. Huo Feng felt as if he had been struck by something, shouting loudly, "Ice, Ice..."
But there was no response. However, Huo Feng did sense the presence of Ice Puppet; although it was faint, it was indeed Ice Puppet's aura. Huo Feng could only pray that Ice was with Ice Puppet and quickly followed the direction from which Ice Puppet's aura was coming.
As Huo Feng continued on, the aura of Ice Puppet grew stronger. Soon, he emerged from the other side of the mountain, but through his connection to Ice Puppet, it seemed there was still some distance to cover. At this point, Huo Feng became increasingly worried about Ice and quickened his pace.
Before long, Huo Feng arrived at an unknown swamp. He sensed Ice Puppet's aura in this area and faintly felt Ice's presence as well. At that moment, a weight lifted from Huo Feng's heart because Ice was not dead.
But Huo Feng didn't know where they were hiding, which made him anxious. Just as he prepared to shout Ice's name again, the surface of the water in the swamp began to churn, and suddenly two massive creatures emerged from within.
Before they had fully surfaced from the water, Huo Feng was already filled with excitement because he recognized that familiar aura—it was Ice and Ice Puppet. He rushed forward immediately.
As soon as Ice surfaced from the water, she transformed and excitedly jumped onto Huo Feng's shoulder. Huo Feng quickly recalled Ice Puppet into his Narcissistic Ring and then looked at the unharmed Ice, happily asking, "I'm so glad you're okay."
