Although Wang Long wished to stay longer in this completely unfamiliar and interesting town, he understood the importance of their mission. So when Zhang Mingyi informed them that they needed to set off immediately, he could only reluctantly continue on.

Wang Long sensed the hesitation in his words but did not press the issue; he merely nodded.
"Alright, it should indeed be close now. That mountain ahead is Sangyou Mountain. However, the terrain is treacherous and stretches for hundreds of miles. Even if there are rumors of monster clans residing here, finding them won't be easy."

Wang Long and Jiang Xue nodded in agreement and quickened their pace toward the mountain.
Zhang Mingyi's words were quite accurate; Sangyou Mountain truly stretched vast and boundless. Once they entered the mountainous area, it became eerie everywhere, with ancient trees towering high as if no one had set foot there for ages.
Wang Long asked a passerby a few questions, but the person waved his hand and said, "It's said that there are monsters lurking in this mountain, very fierce ones. However, the sound was coming from the direction of Wang Long and Jiang Xue.
Wang Long also became alert, slowly channeling his Dragon Qi into his palms, ready to unleash an attack at any moment; Jiang Xue stood beside him, equally focused.
Just then, as the vines and branches were pushed aside, a little girl emerged from deep within the bushes. She looked to be around seven or eight years old, dressed in red clothing, with big eyes blinking curiously at the three of them.
"Who are you?!" Zhang Mingyi quickly turned around and sternly questioned the little girl.
The girl in red seemed startled but immediately retorted, "Who are you! Why have you trespassed into our territory?!"
"Your territory? Who are you?" Wang Long asked, puzzled.
"That's right, it's our territory. The entire Sangyou Mountain belongs to us, and you people are all bad!" the little girl said, hands on her hips.
Wang Long glanced at Zhang Mingyi, who shook his head, indicating he couldn't discern anything and said, "Then where are your family? Who are they?"
"Naturally, they are the ones who want your lives!" Suddenly, voices from all directions echoed simultaneously, and several figures sprang out from the forest, surrounding Wang Long and his companions.
Zhang Mingyi smiled, "Oh, it really is a trap. This is bad!"
Wang Long sighed helplessly, "Now you've noticed. Didn't you say that the Zhang Family's Family Tradition can not only see through others' thoughts but also predict danger?"
"Maybe... in this situation, it doesn't seem dangerous to me at all; I didn't sense anything!" Zhang Mingyi smiled, looking somewhat embarrassed.
"You can still laugh when death is imminent!" one of the attackers, who appeared to be a leader, said coldly.
"Dad!" the little girl exclaimed happily and rushed into his arms.
The leader glared at the child in his arms and said in a deep voice, "Kill those who trespass into the forbidden areas of the mountain!"
Upon hearing this command, the remaining group members immediately shouted and charged at Wang Long and the others.
At this point, there was no need for further words. Wang Long took a deep breath, and with a clang, his Thunderlight Sword blazed to life as he swung it at the incoming enemies.
Jiang Xue also drew her dark-colored long sword and plunged into the crowd.
However, Zhang Mingyi seemed quite relaxed, merely watching the two fight while occasionally frowning or nodding in approval without any intention of joining in.
Nevertheless, Wang Long could sense that those attacking them were only at the level equivalent to having opened three of the Four Dragon Veins. He and Jiang Xue could easily handle them.

With a thunderous crash, the ancient tree shattered completely, turning into a cloud of wood dust.
The two exchanged glances, their fists colliding as they spoke simultaneously.
"People from Longcheng?!"
"Serpent Demon Clan?!"
