Wang Long held Jiang Xue's small hand as they walked along the path in the Valley, letting the gentle autumn breeze stir their clothing, bringing a slight chill.
"I must say, you really look the part as the clan leader... even those elders seem quite convinced by you," Wang Long said half-seriously, half-jokingly.
Jiang Xue sighed lightly, "It's not entirely like that... In their hearts, they probably already accepted the idea of an alliance. Jiang Xue nodded but revealed a trace of sorrow on her face as she lamented, "If you weren't the Dragon Lord and I weren't the clan leader, it would be much better. As they chatted leisurely, a soldier from the Serpent Clan approached and reported, "Clan Leader, Dragon Lord, Supreme Elder has come to inform you that the soldiers have been fully assembled and are ready to launch an attack on Southern State City at any time!"
Jiang Xue sighed again and put on a calm expression as she said, "Good. Inform the elders that they can make battlefield decisions at their discretion; we must capture Southern State City within three days!"
"Understood!"
"Are you really not coming along? Aren't you afraid something unexpected might happen on the battlefield in Southern State?" Wang Long asked with a slight frown. Although the Human Emperor's forces had not launched a large-scale invasion of Kyushu Islands at this moment, there was no telling what hidden currents might be stirring.
"Don't worry... With Elder Man around, nothing will go wrong," Jiang Xue replied with a charming smile, seemingly unconcerned.
As they continued talking and walking, they unknowingly made their way to the forbidden area of the Serpent Demon Clan. They exchanged glances and saw a hint of amusement in each other's eyes.
"Shall we revisit old haunts?" Wang Long joked.
"No way. Back then we had no choice; now I am the Serpent Clan Leader and you are the Dragon Lord of Dragon City. How can we act so casually?" Jiang Xue shook her head slightly but wore a smile.
Wang Long had only mentioned it casually but inadvertently glanced toward the back mountain gate. Suddenly, he felt a wave of unease wash over him as if he had sensed something inadvertently.
Noticing his change in expression, Jiang Xue immediately felt it too and asked anxiously, "What's wrong? Has something happened in the Back Mountain Forbidden Area?"
Wang Long frowned, "I just glanced casually and felt that there seems to be someone moving within the forbidden area. Although it was very slight, I could still sense it after breaking through to the Dragon Bone Realm..."
"Could it be..." Jiang Xue's expression also changed.

Since they had already defied this ancestral teaching once, entering again was no big deal, especially with such a formidable enemy causing trouble inside!
Although it was a return to familiar ground, their mindsets were vastly different. The last time they were ambushed by the Serpent Demon Clan and forced into this place, they had been in a dire situation.
This time, however, both had become leaders of Dragon City and the Serpent Clan, fighting for the two great sacred lands and the Kyushu Islands. The unpredictability of life was truly unimaginable.
Wang Long understood the danger posed by this individual; how could he afford to be careless? He immediately activated his Thunder Element Clone, transforming it into an armored figure that shielded Jiang Xue within.
Jiang Xue smiled slightly and raised her Heavenly Serpent Staff, which emitted a faint blue glow.
The two slowly entered the forbidden area, following the route in their memories. Soon they arrived at a curtain of cascading waterfalls, behind which lay the Ancestral Patriarch's Tomb where they had once resided.
Wang Long glanced at Jiang Xue and nodded lightly before flying ahead.
However, just as he reached the cave entrance, a brilliant light suddenly surged forth. A tremendous force descended from above like a mountain crashing down, suppressing him!
Wang Long let out a muffled groan as he found himself unable to gain footing in mid-air, completely crushed by this force and falling back beside Jiang Xue.
"Who dares to intrude upon my Serpent Clan Forbidden Area?" Jiang Xue helped Wang Long up and asked sternly.
"Oh... it turns out to be two old friends. I wonder how you have been these days?" A deep voice came from ahead; it was none other than the Azure Robed Stranger. What surprised Wang Long and Jiang Xue was that a young girl followed closely behind him.
The girl wore Azure Garb, her long hair flowing like a waterfall down to her waist. Her delicate features held a blend of stubbornness and determination; with a slight smile, she exuded an air of nobility and elegance.
"Indeed, it is you. You have once again trespassed into my Serpent Clan Forbidden Area. What is your purpose?!" Jiang Xue asked in a deep voice, while her eyes couldn't help but glance at the extraordinary young woman.
"You Serpent Clan? I believe I have mentioned before that I am also one of you, right? This place, I have been imprisoned for thousands of years; I can be considered the ancestor of snakes. If I am not qualified to come here, then no one is," the Azure Robed Man said calmly.
"I remember you mentioned your name is Changxi? You were someone who followed the First Generation Dragon Head in ancient times?" Wang Long asked in a low voice.
"That's correct... But I recall that you all seemed rather skeptical about my story back then! So, has your opinion changed now?" Changxi said with interest as he glanced at Wang Long and chuckled lightly.
"Then who is she?" Jiang Xue couldn't help but ask, her expression remaining consistently calm.
"Her?" Changxi turned to look at the girl with flowing black hair and smiled lightly. "Why not let her tell you herself?"
The young woman smiled and stepped forward, saying, "I know both of you. You are the current Serpent Clan Leader, named Jiang Xue; and you are the newly appointed leader of Dragon City, named Wang Long, correct?"
"So, who are you?" Wang Long asked.
"I am the Dragon Maiden of the East Sea; you can call me Ling Li..."
