"Hmph! Is that enough to make you leave?" Mr. Fan thought these six people would surely be unable to tolerate his tone, but he was surprised they could endure even this. Soon enough, the caravan arrived outside Feather City.
But before entering, everyone noticed something was off about Feather City.
First of all, they had reached the center of the region without encountering any other caravans. More importantly, according to Mr. Fan, Feather City had suffered heavy damage and should be fully engaged in defending itself against further attacks from other forces or monsters. Why could they now vaguely see the outline of the city walls while not spotting a single patrol outside?
"Cough cough, is this really Feather City? Could it be that mysterious enemies have created illusions to lure us into a trap?" Cai Burin glanced sideways at Mr. Fan and said ambiguously.
Since Wang Long had already pointed out that this old fellow was suspicious, there was no need for him to maintain a good attitude toward him.
"Absolutely not," Mr. Fan replied with a puzzled look at Cai Burin. However, given Cai Burin's status, he couldn’t directly ask if there was an issue with him. "The routes along the way are fixed; unless they misled us with techniques from some distant fork in the road, it’s impossible for us not to notice after such a long time. Moreover, there were no discrepancies in the signs and scenery along the way. This must undoubtedly be Feather City."
"We haven't fallen for any tricks." Wang Long sensed no issues with the Spiritual Essence in the surrounding Primordial Energy; given his limited research on Shen Walking Dragon Technique within the Divine Realm, it was nearly impossible for anyone to deceive him. "Hmph! Everyone, stay alert and move out!" Li Changge pretended not to hear the last sarcastic remark, waving his hand as he led the caravan onward.
As they gradually approached Feather City, seeing the Divine Warriors patrolling the city walls finally eased their tension. Thankfully, although the atmosphere was a bit strange, it seemed that nothing major had happened.
"Stop! Who are you?" At that moment, the warriors on the walls of Feather City noticed them. A captain-like figure shouted loudly for them to halt.
"Your Excellency, please don't misunderstand!" To avoid any misjudgment during this sensitive period, Li Changge waved his hand for everyone to stop and stepped forward, saying loudly, "We are a merchant caravan! We come from Fire Mountain City and bring supplies you need! Please don't mistake us for enemies!"

Watching Mr. Fan and Li Changge talk with the guards of Feather City, Wang Long focused his gaze into the distance.
He always felt that regardless of which side harbored ill intentions towards them, there would surely be other methods to create chaos along the way. He never expected they would actually reach Feather City like this. Cai Burin's claims about techniques might be exaggerated, but they reflected this kind of mindset.
Once they entered Feather City, Wang Long and the others might not return with the caravan. If they didn't act now, they would truly lose track of them.
Could it be that they were really giving up just like that?

Wang Long recalled their encounter in Nanhua City and suddenly looked toward Feather City in the distance.
Or could it be that their backup was already inside Feather City?
"Stay alert! Don't let your guard down!" Wang Long just reminded Cai Burin, Hua Ruhai, and the warriors from Fire Mountain City when suddenly a beam of light shot up into the sky from Feather City!
"Is it Fire Mountain City again?"
Everyone was taken aback. Why did he add the word "again"?
"You bunch of bastards! Do you think we would fall for the same trick twice? Activate the Defensive Array! Notify all the elders! Brothers! Kill them all! Leave no one alive!"
While Mr. Fan, Li Changge, and others were still puzzled by Wang Long's warning, they suddenly saw Feather City reacting to their arrival in such a way, leaving them all stunned.
In just that brief moment, a towering beam of light had already spread out, enveloping the entire city wall in its protective aura. On top of the wall, elite members of the Feather City Guard seemed to have emerged from the ground, running back and forth as if they were facing a terrifying enemy!
Just as Li Changge and the others were about to ask again, suddenly, the Defensive Array of Feather City shifted, and two streams of Primordial energy shot straight towards their convoy, followed closely by attacks from ordinary soldiers.
Unfortunately, even though those soldiers heard Wang Long's warning, some of them, lacking vigilance, failed to react to the sudden changes and were instantly cut down by the two energy blasts!
"Damn it! Do they think they can bully us from Fire Mountain City? Brothers, counterattack!" Li Changge shouted in anger, drawing his sword.
Wang Long looked at the scene before him, feeling a chill run down his spine.
The tactics of these people were truly impressive enough to be chilling!
