The astonishing Thunder Element Power surged with an equally astonishing speed as Lightning Burst erupted. A warrior blinked, and only after truly adapting to that flash of lightning did he realize he had already lost all ability to move, with blood flowing from his lower abdomen.
From beginning to end, he didn't even see how Wang Long made his move!
As the other four warriors learned their lesson from being defeated one by one, they gathered together in an attempt to form a Sword Formation. However, Shunshen had already flashed to their side.
"Void Flow!" An eerie light flashed, and two of the experts were directly turned into nothingness from the divine realm, not knowing where Shunshen had forcefully sent them into the Void. The remaining two were naturally no match for him and were crushed by his two strikes of Primordial Power, their bodies exploding into nothingness.
"What a brilliant technique!" When Human Emperor saw Wang Long's swordsmanship, he merely raised an eyebrow. But now witnessing Shunshen's astonishing methods, he couldn't help but be moved.
At least with his intelligence, he couldn't figure out how Shunshen utilized the Spiritual Essence within Primordial Power to achieve such an effect.
Just imagine if it were in a battle against himself; if the opponent could wipe out his world with just a wave of their hand, what incredible power that would be!
It was so powerful that he felt almost powerless to resist!
"Hehe, there's no need for you to ask more about this, Human Emperor. Do you think we would easily tell you?" Wang Long replied firmly yet gently to his inquiry, also reminding Human Emperor who his true opponent was!
"Dragon Lord, I never expected this. It’s been just a few days since we last met, and in this short time in the divine realm, your strength has advanced so much. That last move, Quick Sword, was so fast that even I couldn't see the sword shadows. Impressive! Truly impressive!" Human Emperor showed no hesitation in praising Wang Long's progress; he was inherently a proud person.
However, at the same time, he was also absolutely confident. By openly complimenting Wang Long's strength and admitting he couldn't see his Sword Momentum clearly, it represented something—namely that despite this, he still had absolute confidence in being able to at least evade Wang Long's Sword Momentum!
After all, Wang Long had only recently grasped this Sword Momentum; it was impossible for him to have integrated it as thoroughly as the Third Realm Envoy had done, where the gaps between Sword Techniques were too small to exploit.
"If this statement were applied to you, the Human Emperor, it would not be inappropriate. Although I have not had the chance to witness your astonishing abilities, just now, with a mere gesture, you managed to suppress these six experts from the Third Realm completely. This already indicates that you, my lord Human Emperor, have not been idle these past few days," Wang Long said, his words sharp yet soft, not giving an inch in their exchange.
"Oh? So you are saying that you are now aware of the existence of the Third Realm?" The Human Emperor raised an eyebrow and looked at Wang Long with a probing gaze.
"That's right. I even inadvertently crossed paths with one of their Superiors and nearly never saw you again, brother Human Emperor," Wang Long replied, mixing truth with deception.
The Human Emperor was not surprised that Wang Long had already learned about the Third Realm. According to Cai Burin's previous statements, the Third Realm had the ability to traverse freely between realms. Therefore, their activity space was certainly not limited to just the divine realm. It was unclear whether they had underestimated Zero Realm's strength or if they were cautious because it was a new world created by the divine race themselves, which made them hesitant to cross that line. Thus far, they had not appeared on a large scale. However, given that the Human Emperor currently controlled eight out of the nine continents, if he had yet to encounter anyone from the Third Realm, that would indeed be suspicious.
"By the way, I wonder what has prompted you, my lord Human Emperor, to take such an interest in the Northern Qian Mountain Range and come to Feather City. Does this mean that another Gateway to the Abyss is located nearby?"
"Hmph! Since you and your friend have your own secrets, what makes you so confident that I would share such confidential information with you?" The Human Emperor scoffed and raised his head disdainfully, presenting an enigmatic demeanor that left no room for Wang Long's speculation. "Instead, why don't you tell me your purpose for coming to Feather City? And along your journey, did you encounter those who turn into toxic mist upon death? What are they? How could such things exist in the heart of the divine race's territory?"
"Your Excellency has encountered Toxic Corpses as well?" Upon hearing this, Shunshen could no longer maintain his previous aloofness; his expression changed as he urgently asked, "May I ask where Your Excellency encountered them and how many groups did you face?"
The Human Emperor sneered: "Are you interrogating me? As I mentioned before, this information belongs to me. Without sufficient exchange value, I have every right to decide whether or not to share it with you."
Wang Long replied solemnly: "Human Emperor, this is not a time for arrogance. You have seen their power; that green toxic mist cannot be dispelled by wind or fire and is nearly impossible to deal with. Our only option is to prevent them from mass-producing such war machines. Otherwise, even if your forces rise in power, the divine realm will become uninhabitable wastelands. In that case, what good will it do for you to keep this secret? It would be better for us to discuss together how we can ensure that the divine realm still holds value for us to fight for. What do you think?"
The Human Emperor sensed Wang Long's sincerity and pondered for a moment: "Alright then. You may first share what you know about these Toxic Corpses and explain why allowing their development could turn the entire divine realm into a dead zone. If your reasoning is convincing enough, I might consider whether or not to share my findings with you."
Wang Long recounted how during their battle in Feather City, those from the Third Realm utilized these Toxic Corpses and described how Feather City was now surrounded by heavy toxic mist, forming a barrier of death that rendered communication impossible between inside and outside.
"Oh? Such horror exists!" The Human Emperor was well-versed in military strategy and understood very well the use of fog in warfare and its potential dangers. If what they described about the toxic mist formed by dead Toxic Corpses was true—being unable to be blown away by wind or washed away by water—combined with his own experience of their power, he realized that if not dealt with promptly, one day the Third Realm could dominate the world simply by creating such entities without anyone able to stop them.
Compared to their elaborate schemes to allow ordinary people to practice and improve, ultimately integrating them into the elite Army, this brutal method of directly killing people to turn them into Toxic Corpses is far more ruthless and completely devoid of humanity!
"Right now, they are merely simple-moving Toxic Corpses, and no one knows if the future Toxic Corpses will develop other combat abilities. At that point, we would be facing not just an unapproachable Spirit Origin Bullet, but potentially a skilled opponent capable of regular combat—imagine being relentlessly pursued, unable to escape, and when it comes to close combat, always having to guard against the opponent suddenly unleashing a self-detonation. In such a situation of equal strength, the more you fight, the more likely you are to fail. How can you then compete with the experts of the Third Realm?
Moreover, the most critical issue is that if these Toxic Corpses cannot be completely eliminated and lack emotions, they won't fear dying again. Their morale could appear endless, making it increasingly difficult for ordinary warriors to deal with them.
Even if the Water Elemental Shield proves ineffective... the Human Emperor can already imagine how many tactics he could employ if he could command such a terrifying number of Toxic Corpses like those in the Third Realm!
"Alright, let's collaborate once more." After weighing the pros and cons, the Human Emperor chose to trust Wang Long without hesitation.
In fact, after discovering the divine realm and sensing the denser Primordial Power here, along with the powerful races still surviving—including the divine race—although there is certainly still a debt of battle between them, their conflicts can be significantly eased. From any perspective, it is crucial for them to establish a foothold in the divine realm before any powerful allies from the divine race come to exert direct military pressure on them.
If they reach that point and the deity still does not want to let them go... then there is no rule in this world stating they can only cooperate with the divine race. For instance, many distant relatives of the Giant Clan still surviving in this world have received significant support from their powerful allies in the divine realm. Whether or not the Giant Clan will remain as docile as they are now is highly uncertain.
