With Wang Long's demonstration, others gained confidence in his method as a member of the Yin Ghost Clan. They proceeded calmly along the way, despite encountering several patrol teams from the Giant Clan. However, these teams only expressed occasional suspicion towards them. Thanks to Wang Long's adaptability, they managed to deceive their way through without any issues.
"What? You are the scouting team that got separated from the Yin Ghost Army?" Upon hearing Wang Long cheerfully announce their identity, a Giant Clan warrior named Rada frowned deeply. "But when the Yin Ghost Clan was here before, they claimed their numbers were accounted for. How come you small teams have suddenly appeared now?"
Wang Long was startled and cautiously observed the giant Rada while explaining with a smile, "The numbers they calculated were likely just for the main forces of the Army. They probably didn't include us scouting teams. In fact, I encountered several other small squads dispatched along the way, so it seems Lord Rada has misunderstood their intentions."
"Hmph! You Yin Ghost Clan really have some nerve! To dare send out so-called scouting teams on our sacred mountain! What does this mean? If you don't trust our Giant Spirit Lord, then you shouldn't have come at all! Or do you have ulterior motives, which is why you sent out scouts to avoid us discovering your schemes?"
Wang Long wanted to say, "You are indeed wise; the Yin Ghost Clan has no good intentions." However, he could only pacify him verbally to prevent Rada from becoming suspicious and disregarding Amohan's face, leading to their capture and exposure.
"Hehe, you are truly joking. We are merely being cautious. You know how those higher-ups in the Yin Ghost Clan think too much about unnecessary issues. Sigh! To be honest with you, brother, their decisions only make it harder for us who do the hard work. Lord Rada, we are actually on your side!"
Rada often personally led his subordinates on patrols and understood the hardships faced by lower-ranking members. Coupled with the dissatisfaction of these "Yin Ghost Clan" members towards their superiors, it created a sense of camaraderie among the Giant Clan warriors.
Rada's expression softened: "Well, fine. You few have it tough too. How about this? I need to go to the Giant Spirit Temple to meet with our leader. You can come with us. After passing through our checkpoint, you'll reach our true sacred ground and avoid wandering around aimlessly, which could lead to trouble instead of finding your Army."
Their change in attitude towards Wang Long and his group was an acknowledgment of their "plight." However, Wang Long and his companions felt distressed; how could they stay with the Giant Clan for an extended period given their secretive identities? Not to mention that this giant was going to meet a Giant Spirit Guard leader.
At this point, all reasoning was on Rada's side. Even if they wanted to refuse his "kindness," they had no excuse and could only agree nervously while following him toward the peak.
Upon arriving here, Wang Long and his companions could distinctly feel a powerful and intense battle intent in the air that made them uncomfortable. They were also secretly on guard; it seemed that this environment exerted some suppression on their strength. However, it was beneficial that the Yin Ghost Clan likely couldn't exert their full power here either. It remained uncertain whether this was due to a rare large magical formation of the Giant Clan or the pressure from the Giant Spirit God. If it were the latter, they would need to reassess their estimation of the Giant Spirit God's strength.
With Rada leading them, they no longer had to worry about being troubled along the way. Wang Long and his companions exchanged glances frequently, brainstorming how to find an excuse to separate from them and search for the Yin Ghost Clan's Army.
Once they entered what was referred to as a "sacred ground," however, the defensive power seemed even weaker than before. The Giant Clan placed great importance on bravery among warriors; thus, their leader, the Giant Spirit God, had to display complete fearlessness as well.
This only heightened the concerns of Wang Long and the others. In such a situation, they couldn't understand what excuse the Evil Spirit and Amohan had used to allow them to bring their Army in; it was essentially giving them an opportunity to attack.
"Alright, this is the Giant Spirit Temple. With your identities, you cannot enter here. Your Army is stationed over there in that valley; you can go back now. Remember, this is the residence of the Giant Spirit Lord, so don't wander around. If anything goes wrong, even Lord Amohan and your Evil Spirit won't be able to save your lives!"
Wang Long and the others breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this and immediately agreed. Rada no longer bothered with them and walked into the main hall.
"Oh my, luckily this giant Rada's enthusiasm is limited. I thought they would escort us all the way to the Yin Ghost Clan and Amohan's main camp!"
"Ha ha, don't worry. I can feel that although there is some pressure on our Spiritual Essence here, it doesn't affect my divine techniques. If things go wrong, we can just teleport away. Dragon Head, where do you think we should go now?"
Wang Long frowned and said, "Since that area is the Yin Ghost Clan's main camp, we certainly can't walk into a trap. Right now, the only place we can hide is the Giant Spirit Temple. No matter how dangerous Rada described it, we have no choice but to go in. Moreover, whatever plans Amohan and the Evil Spirit have, they must enter the Giant Spirit Temple to execute them. We can wait for them and see what schemes they have!"
"Alright!" everyone agreed at once.
Song Shuping carefully estimated the distance. Wang Long took the lead by drawing out the Suppressing Spirit Sword to exert control over Spiritual Energy Fluctuation, then the four of them teleported directly to a platform on the third floor of the Giant Spirit Temple before entering through a passage into the interior.
Although this was merely the residence of one individual—the Giant Spirit God—it represented immense power for their relatively primitive tribe. The more grandiose the architecture, the more it symbolized the might of their Giant Spirit God. Therefore, this building was far from small. Wang Long and his companions stealthily moved inside while observing their surroundings.
Unique statues emanated a powerful force; they appeared to be arranged in some sort of magical formation but were not connected to each other in any way, nor did they react to Wang Long and his group.
Just as they were nearing the top floor, they arrived at another platform.
At this point, security suddenly increased ahead of them. As Wang Long and his companions were forced to retreat back into the previous corridor, a voice suddenly rang out from behind them.
"Did not expect to encounter uninvited guests here. Hehe, I didn't expect that at your age you could achieve such powerful strength, and with Lord Shunshen accompanying you, that's quite impressive."
A simple statement sent shivers down the spines of the four, including Wang Long. Turning around, they saw a giant draped in a purple robe standing at the edge of the building. What startled them even more was that when they had walked out of the corridor earlier, they had clearly not noticed anyone there!
Who exactly is this person? And how did he immediately recognize Shunshen Song Shuping's identity?
"Hehe, you must be mistaken. We are all from the Yin Ghost Clan, here with the Evil Spirit to visit Sky Pillar. I don't know who this Shunshen Song Shuping you mentioned is."
"Even now you still want to hide? You really don't take me seriously, do you?"
