Due to the complex implications behind the Lich War, Ye Chuanze felt it was best not to get involved. Killing comes with Karma, and the Heavenly Dao is cunning; it usually remains silent and indifferent, but once it takes a disliking to you, it will settle all your past misdeeds and Karma without hesitation, not fearing that it might not destroy you. Under the Heavenly Dao, everyone is but an ant. These powerful beings of the Primordial era, who have existed since ancient times, who among them has not committed sins? Who does not bear Karma? This is enough for the Heavenly Dao to use as evidence to eliminate them; one could say that under the Heavenly Dao, no one is without a handle in its grasp. 0

It sounds terrifying, but in reality, this is the safest approach. By entrusting all one's Merit and sins to the control of the Heavenly Dao, one submits to its judgment: do good, and the Heavenly Dao grants Merit; commit sins, and punishment follows. The Heavenly Dao balances Merit and sins, allowing all things to exist and grow in order. Everything is under the control of the Heavenly Dao; if anyone breaks free from its grasp, their Merit and sins, cause and effect will no longer be under its control. One can only fear that in the end, they will face a merciless annihilation by the Heavenly Dao. 0

Ye Chuanze did not know what exactly the Heavenly Dao was. He once thought of it as akin to rules—principles governing an orderly world. Since it was a rule, it must be fair and orderly, devoid of thought or emotion, like the most rigorous procedure with no personal bias whatsoever. However, later on, Ye Chuanze realized he was mistaken. He saw another kind of path in Hongjun, who embodied the Dao and filled in the gaps of the Heavenly Dao. This made the originally heartless rules imbued with human thought; is the Heavenly Dao still what it once was? The clash between fairness and reason, the fusion of ruthlessness and compassion—who ultimately stifled whom? Who merged with whom? Hongjun is the Heavenly Dao; the Heavenly Dao is not Hongjun. What then is this newly born Heavenly Dao? 0

In ancient chaos, in a world of confusion where all things were void, Pangu opened up heaven and earth, transforming into Primordial, giving rise to all things. The newly born Primordial World was still imperfect, with many loopholes and deficiencies under the control of the Heavenly Dao. As the world gradually improved, rules intertwined and loopholes were filled. 0

During his first Lich War, Ye Chuanze fought for the demon clan—not only because he had a duty as a member of that clan but also to repay a debt of Karma owed to them from his past. However, a more important reason was that he recognized that this Lich War was instigated by the operation of the Heavenly Dao; it was tacitly supported by it. This battle was destined by heaven; heaven stood on the side of the demon clan, so Ye Chuanze's participation was in accordance with heavenly will. 0

In contrast, during the second Lich War, heavenly will did not favor either the demon clan or the Witch Clan. The Lich Clans had lost heavenly favor; everything resembled how it once was between the two clans of Dragon and Phoenix. In his heart, Ye Chuanze already had suspicions about the ultimate outcome of this Lich War. 0

Leaning back on a soft couch with a light sigh, his dark hair cascading down as his handsome face bore an indifferent expression. There were too many things in this world that one wished to change but could not. Even if one could foresee an outcome, they would be powerless to alter it—only able to watch events unfold and misfortune descend. 0

What does knowing the final outcome matter? He could not resist the Heavenly Dao; even he himself was not free from its influence. From when he fought for the demon clan in that first Lich War, he had already entered into this game. How could one transcend while being trapped within? In that first round, heavenly will favored the demon clan; hence they won. In that second round, while they lost heavenly favor, neither did it reside with the Witch Clan. 0

Ye Chuanze believed he should carefully plan things out; perhaps in doing so he could preserve the foundation of his clan until... until another calamity arose when there might be another opportunity for resurgence. 0

His eyes flickered as he decided to visit Purple Cloud Palace. After all, he had resolved not to get involved in this Lich War, merely playing a supporting role; he had plenty of time. Since he had that time, why not go to Purple Cloud Palace and build rapport with that supreme being known as Dao Ancestor, hoping to gain some favor? After all, he was also part of the demon clan—what benefits one benefits all; what harms one harms all—and for his own sake as well as for his clan's future planning. 0

Calling over a young attendant at the door, he said: "I am going to visit Purple Cloud Palace to pay my respects to Dao Ancestor. My return date is uncertain; if anyone comes looking for me, send them away." 0

"Understood," replied the young attendant. 0

Before heading to Purple Cloud Palace, Ye Chuanze decided to visit an old neighbor. 0

"Is my friend Fuxi around?" asked Ye Chuanze, addressing a round-faced little Taoist. 0

"Yes," came the reply. 0

Ye Chuanze paused for a moment and then asked, "Is Nuwa here?" 0

"She is here as well." 0

Upon hearing this, Ye Chuanze smiled, "Then I have come at the right time. Please go and inform her that Yunze Cave's Ye Chuanze has come to visit." 0

"Real Person, please wait a moment," Little Taoist said, then turned and hurried off to deliver the message. 0

After a short while, Ye Chuanze, led by Little Taoist, entered a vibrant courtyard filled with blooming flowers, where he saw Fuxi playing the guqin and Nuwa savoring wine. 0

In the exquisite pavilion with green tiles, Fuxi lit incense and played the guqin, dressed in white that was untouched by the mundane world. His appearance was elegant and unparalleled. With long fingers, he plucked the strings, producing enchanting melodies. 0

Ye Chuanze paused slightly, his gaze fixed on Fuxi, and after a moment, he smiled gently. Fuxi was the most extraordinary person he had ever met. There were many remarkable individuals like Primordial, mysterious and unfathomable like Dao Ancestor, wild and unrestrained like Rahul, regal like Di Jun, and gentle yet indifferent like Taiyi. All possessed exceptional talents that left a lasting impression. However, only Fuxi made Ye Chuanze feel joy and closeness whenever he thought of him, wishing to converse about everything. 0

Fuxi was someone who could open people's hearts; in his presence, one could speak freely without reservations. He was someone to be trusted. His gentleness could melt even the hardest ice in the world; even Ye Chuanze could not resist his tender gaze that seemed capable of drowning a person in affection. When he looked at you, it felt as if you were deeply loved by him. Fuxi thought that if it weren't for Hongjun, he might have become enamored with this elegant and charming man over the long passage of time, wanting to possess him entirely. 0

Ye Chuanze had always considered himself a strong-willed person, but whenever he faced Fuxi, he felt a sense of lacking love. Truly, Fuxi was someone who could easily be loved. 0

Perhaps there was a moment when he had indeed fallen for this gentle and graceful man. His heart had raced for him once; unfortunately, before this unique feeling could be recognized, it was drowned out by another more intense emotion. 0

Standing at a distance, Ye Chuanze gazed deeply at the white-clad man surrounded by vibrant flowers, a hint of melancholy flashing through his heart. If it weren't for Hongjun's appearance, perhaps things would have been different between them! Suddenly, Ye Chuanze laughed; it was too late to say such things now. Missed opportunities were missed opportunities; what significance did it hold to dwell on them? 0

Thinking of that proud and noble Purple Robed Daoist from Purple Cloud Palace, the smile on Ye Chuanze's lips grew wider. Perhaps he should treat that person better and cherish him more. Their journey together had not been easy—from initial admiration to mutual confessions of love, finally confirming their feelings for each other. Each step had been significant; without any part of it, they could not have come together. He should treasure their relationship. Occasionally compromising for love was something a man should do; lovers need to be pampered. 0

Having come to this realization, Ye Chuanze felt refreshed. With a smile on his lips, he walked over to Fuxi. 0

The music suddenly stopped as Fuxi looked up at him, curling his lips into a gentle smile and saying in a warm voice, " Mr. Ye, you have arrived." 0

"Yes, I came at just the right time; otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to hear your beautiful music," Ye Chuanze replied as he looked at him. 0

Hearing this, the smile on Fuxi's face grew even brighter. 0

"Hey! Don't move!" Ye Chuanze suddenly said. 0

Fuxi instinctively tensed up, remaining completely still, only his eyes fixed on him. 0

Ye Chuanze grinned mischievously and, like a magician, produced a beautiful hibiscus flower from his hand. He tucked the pink flower behind Fuxi's ear, pretended to admire it for a moment, and then said, "It looks really good!" 0

Fuxi shook his head helplessly and chuckled, "You! Why are you still so childlike?" 0

This remark brought back memories for both of them. At that time, Ye Chuanze had not yet taken form and could only condense into a youthful spirit resembling a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy. Back then, Fuxi always treated him as a child, showing him extra tolerance and indulgence. 0

For a moment, both fell silent. 0

"You keep picking my flowers without permission; I've told you countless times, but it doesn't help." Nüwa suddenly spoke up, breaking the awkward silence between the two. 0

Ye Chuanze turned to look at her and saw her looking lazy, holding a wine glass with a flushed face, clearly having had quite a bit to drink. Ye Chuanze smiled and said, "It's rare to see you so relaxed and natural." 0

Nüwa shot him a glance and replied, "The way you say it makes it sound like I usually put on airs." 0

"Don't you usually put on airs?" Ye Chuanze was unafraid of her stern expression and continued, "You always have a serious face, pretending to be authoritative—no entry for strangers. Especially since you became a Sage; tsk tsk... Sages really are different!" 0

Nüwa's face turned dark upon hearing this; even if it were true, she couldn't allow Ye Chuanze to speak so bluntly in front of her. 0

Fuxi shook his head and scolded Ye Chuanze, "You talk too much; you dare to say anything. Luckily today it's Nüwa; if it were another Sage, they wouldn't tolerate your words." 0

Seeing her brother say this, Nüwa felt angry but could only suppress it. 0

Ye Chuanze opened his mouth to continue speaking when Fuxi subtly shook his head to stop him. 0

Fuxi reached up and took the hibiscus flower that Ye Chuanze had placed behind his ear and set it on the table. With a smile, he asked, "What brings you here today? Are you here to drink with me?" 0

"Actually, I'm not here to drink with you today," Ye Chuanze casually sat down beside him and said, "I'm here to let you know that I will be leaving for a while." 0

"Where to?" 0

"Purple Cloud Palace." 0

Fuxi fell silent. 0

Ye Chuanze glanced at him and asked, "Fuxi, do you like playing the piano?" 0

"I suppose I do! Playing the piano helps me calm my mind." 0

"Then are you not calm right now?" Ye Chuanze pressed, his gaze fixed on him. 0

Fuxi looked up at him for a moment, "I am very calm right now." 0

"Is it because you just played the piano?" 0

"Heh." Fuxi chuckled at this but did not answer the question. 0

Ye Chuanze continued, "Fuxi, since you enjoy playing the piano, when this world is at peace, we can travel together, and you can play freely, creating beautiful melodies for all Sentient Beings." 0

After a long pause, Fuxi finally said, "Okay." 0

"Then it's settled. Before that, you need to take care of yourself." Ye Chuanze turned to him and said, "I hope that during this Lich War, you won't interfere." 0

Fuxi looked at him and replied, "Okay." 0

Receiving the answer he wanted, a genuine smile appeared on Ye Chuanze's face. 0

"If that's what you wish for, I will certainly grant your request," Fuxi said with his head lowered. 0

When Ye Chuanze was leaving, Nuwa surprisingly took the initiative to see him off. 0

"Before you came, I also advised my brother like this." Nuwa suddenly said, "I don't want him to interfere in this Lich War. This is not something he can interfere in." Ye Chuanze was silent, waiting for her to continue. Next. "Do you know what he answered me? He said that he can't leave you alone." "..." "So, no matter what..." Nuwa looked at him and said, "I am very grateful that you came today. "It's really jealous. Is this the friendship between men you're talking about?" Nuwa smiled sarcastically, "It's really incomprehensible." After a while, Ye Chuanze recovered from the silence. She returned to her usual frivolity, "Nuwa, you are a woman. Of course you cannot understand the friendship between men. Don't be jealous. It is useless for you to be jealous. Who makes you not a man!" Fuxi...... Ye Chuanze He sighed secretly in his heart. 0
