"Beast, this is not a place where you can run wild!"
The scolding voice echoed deep within the Heritage Site, rumbling like thunder in the sky.
"This voice..." Next to Fang Chen, Zuo Zongshou suddenly shuddered, his gaze shifting from the sky to the depths of the Heritage Site, a hint of shock in his eyes. He then looked at Fang Chen, his expression now filled with concern.
"Is it that old fellow from Jincheng Sect?" Seeing Zuo Zongshou's sudden change in demeanor, Fang Chen's heart stirred, and he asked with a slight frown.
Zuo Zongshou did not respond but simply nodded bitterly.
He was a disciple of Jincheng Sect and would normally not show such an expression upon seeing his own elder. However, at this moment, he had already submitted to Fang Chen. If they were to be encountered by this elder from Jincheng Sect together, both of them would likely face dire consequences.
"Bold Beast, hurry up and roll back; otherwise, I will leave you here forever!"
Another thunderous reprimand erupted, and at the same time, in the depths of the Heritage Site, two dazzling pillars of light—one gold and one red—shot up into the sky. Within these pillars stood two imposing figures with their hands clasped behind their backs. "Two mid-Heavenly Realm warriors actually dare to challenge a peak Heavenly Realm beast, especially one that is a king among beasts—the Thunder Kirin that wields Thunder Power. This situation..." Fang Chen's gaze flickered before he slowly uttered two words: "Strange!"
He did not understand why these two would harbor such hatred towards the Thunder Kirin, the ruler of Thunder Abyss at peak Heavenly Realm. However, their current behavior was far beyond Fang Chen's expectations.
The difference between peak Heavenly Realm and mid-Heavenly Realm might seem small, but Fang Chen was well aware of how significant the gap in strength was between these two levels. A peak Heavenly Realm warrior could easily match three or four mid-Dongtian warriors. If it were the Thunder Kirin instead, it could rival two or three warriors of the same realm. Considering this, even though these two elders from Jincheng and Crimson Bright were quite extraordinary for entering the Colorful Sacred Realm, the gap between them and the Thunder Kirin was still very apparent.

Fang Chen's eyes suddenly flickered. He noticed that even though the Thunder Kirin appeared furious, it had yet to charge down. Instead, it summoned a mass of Thunder Cloud, swirling in the air. The two old fellows from Jincheng and Crimson Bright, despite their booming shouts and their impressive presence, remained within the faint gray mist that enveloped the Heritage Site.
"You... are seeking death!"
At that moment, the heavens and earth trembled violently. Within the Purple-Black glowing Thunder Cloud, two scarlet lights flickered, followed by a deep roar that echoed. The instant the roar sounded, it was as if countless muffled thunderclaps erupted in the air, and an exceptionally oppressive aura suddenly swept across.
At the same time, a large portion of the Thunder Kirin's head emerged from the massive Thunder Cloud. On its two horn-like blades piercing the sky, two orbs of Purple-Black light suddenly flickered into existence.
Within this Purple-Black glow, numerous bolts of lightning flashed through, resembling a miniature thunder world. Although only the size of a fist and relatively insignificant compared to the enormous Thunder Cloud covering most of the Heritage Site, the aura emanating from it was incredibly terrifying.
Crack!
The dazzling Purple Radiance flashed before everyone's eyes and then seemed to condense. The two orbs of Purple-Black lightning on the Thunder Kirin's horns suddenly trembled and transformed into two long rainbows, shooting towards the elderly figures enveloped in golden and red beams of light below in the Heritage Site.
"A terrifying attack capable of annihilating ordinary mid-stage Heavenly Realm experts!" As Fang Chen carefully sensed the two lightning orbs transformed into rainbows with his Divine Consciousness Power, his expression changed slightly. Although he knew these terrifying lightning orbs were not aimed at him, just feeling their horrifying energy fluctuations made his heart race.
After that moment of trepidation, Fang Chen's eyes sparkled with intensity as he fixed his gaze on the air above, clearly sensing something unusual about the two elders who still showed no signs of fleeing.
"What exactly is your backing?" Fang Chen murmured. Although he already had some guesses in mind, they were merely speculation. Soon enough, the truth would be revealed.
"The strength of this beast is truly formidable." Within the golden beam of light, the elder of the Jincheng Sect gazed at the ever-enlarging sphere of lightning, a flicker of trepidation crossing his eyes. Such a level of power, if unleashed elsewhere, could severely injure them or even annihilate them completely.
However, they were currently in a place known as the Heritage Site.
"Hmph, so what if it's strong? This place is not the Thunder Abyss. With this beast's power, it is not enough to break through the defenses of the Heritage Site." From within the red beam, Elder Chu of the Crimson Bright Sect sneered, "No matter how rampant it is for now, once we obtain those few pieces of Heritage from here, our status within the Sect will surely rise dramatically, and our strength will undergo a tremendous transformation. There is plenty of time; we will return later to settle accounts with this beast."
"Haha, Brother Chu makes a good point." Elder Chen of the Jincheng Sect echoed in agreement. As if recalling something, the trepidation on his face melted away into anticipation and excitement.
Re-entering this Colorful Sacred Realm with Heavenly Realm cultivation to seize its precious Heritage was not only a significant Supreme Creation for their two Sects but also held immense meaning for both of them personally.

Almost as soon as their words fell, two spheres of terrifying lightning energy shot down from the sky. However, before these two dazzling purple-black spheres could touch the golden and red beams of light—or even reach Elders Chen and Chu—they exploded violently.
"Indeed, it is a Heritage Site!" Fang Chen exclaimed inwardly amidst the earth-shattering explosion. He observed closely that these two terrifying lightning spheres detonated prematurely due to being influenced by a vast and terrifying energy within the Heritage Site.
"The aura of Nirvana Realm!" Struggling against the blinding purple-black light, Fang Chen managed to open his eyes slightly and fixated intently on the center of the explosion. There, he distinctly sensed an aura characteristic of a Nirvana Realm expert.
The combination of the Heritage Site, the aura of Nirvana Realm, and the strange attitudes of Elders Chen and Chu led Fang Chen to quickly understand that there must be some protective force left behind by the Rainbow Saint within the Heritage Site. It would be difficult for beasts to enter; any attempt to attack warriors within would require breaking through this layer of protective power first. The protective force left by a Nirvana Realm expert would be challenging to breach even for a peak Heavenly Realm Thunder Kirin; it might even be tough for a Daoist Master Realm Thunder Kirin.
This explained why Elders Chen and Chu showed no fear towards the terrifying Thunder Kirin; they openly scolded it without concern for its potential rampage. Being in the Heritage Site granted them absolute safety.
As the lightning spheres exploded, terrifying Qi Energy surged forth wildly, causing the gray mist above the Heritage Site to ripple violently. However, this disturbance did not last long; after about a breath's time, a mysterious force swept through and erased all traces of Frenzy energy, restoring tranquility to the world as if nothing had happened with the previous Thunder Kirin's terrifying attack.

In the sky, within the massive Purple-Black Thundercloud, a faint, unwilling roar of the Thunder Kirin echoed.
"Beasts are just beasts, overestimating themselves."
"Heh heh, just stay well in the Thunder Abyss; we have taken your Qilin Egg."
Watching as the lightning sphere was erased by the mysterious power within the Heritage Site, Chen Chu and his companion felt even more assured. Ling Kong stood amidst two dazzling beams of light, mercilessly mocking the Thunder Kirin within the Thunder Cloud.
"Qilin Egg?!" In the distance, Fang Chen, who had been paying attention to this side, suddenly felt a jolt in his mind. He finally understood why this powerful Thunder Kirin harbored such intense hatred towards Chen Chu and his companion. These two old fellows had actually stolen its egg!
The Qilin Clan, as royalty among beastkind, was born immensely powerful, embodying numerous advantages. However, this powerful beast also had a significant weakness: reproduction. The stronger the beast, the harder it is to reproduce. A Qilin has only one chance in its lifetime to lay eggs and give birth.
Unlike ordinary species that reproduce through mating, a Qilin can lay eggs and give birth solely by itself, but the cost is too high and the difficulty too great. And now, these two old fellows had actually snatched its Qilin Egg; this could definitely be compared to the enmity of "Kill the Child" among humans.
