Luzi has done his best, as one should in life. If this matter were to be spread by someone with ill intentions, the consequences would be extremely serious. After all, both parties do not know each other well, and speaking too deeply on shallow acquaintance is a major taboo. Just as one side finishes speaking, the other side might leak it out, which would only invite trouble! Therefore, some things cannot be clearly stated in person; it is enough to express the meaning clearly. If two people have known each other for over a decade and are well acquainted, this would not apply. If this person is trustworthy, pointing out mistakes in person is still acceptable. 0

The senior brother should be a wise man; I believe he will not blame himself. Luzi sighed inwardly at this thought; it is best to put an end to this matter. However, now that he thinks about having to return the sword he just received, he feels quite unsettled. But he also knows that the sword given to him by Wang Jian is actually the best available; the only difference from the one presented to King Qin is its outer packaging. Even so, he still believes he should do this. By preserving a good seedling for Great Qin, he can help realize the dream of a strong nation sooner. 0

National interests always come first! This is what Us should understand most right now! In comparison, everything else has become unimportant. 0

A night passed without incident. 0

When Luzi woke up in the morning and heard the birds chirping outside while looking at the lush greenery all around that exuded boundless vitality, his heart felt much calmer. He comfortably stretched his body to shake off the laziness. The aroma of breakfast wafted around him; why did it feel so familiar? After a moment's thought, he suddenly remembered it was from the breakfast he had at the inn. Usually accustomed to lavish meals, had he really eaten wild vegetables? Alas! Who would have thought he could have two meals like that in just two days! However, on the flip side, after eating it, he felt quite energetic. It seems he could make this a regular occurrence for health benefits. 0

His plan was indeed put into practice later on but was forced to abandon it within two months. It wasn't due to his own reasons but because a group of brothers strongly insisted otherwise. Although they enjoyed their time outside, once back home they still had to eat simple meals. Occasionally indulging was manageable, but eating like that regularly would drive anyone mad! At first, he organized everyone to experience hardship in the countryside. In comparison, their lives seemed quite blessed. But over time, they grew weary of it; hearing those strict rules became tiresome. 0

Now even the countryside no longer eats wild vegetables; are they going back to old ways? Thirteen firmly declared his resistance and vowed never to eat horse feed again. Either grant him death or let him sell meat and return. It was one or the other—no more complaints! Public opinion is public opinion; Luzi had no choice but to agree to restore Mess Hall to its original state. However, he promised to go up the mountain once a week to gather wild vegetables just to commemorate that experience. This could be considered a small episode and would not be mentioned again. 0

Breakfast indeed featured several dishes made by Chuchu, though everyone ate with grimaces. Aside from Luzi, Wang Jian, and Chuchu, others merely expressed symbolic respect for the chef. They ate heartily with wild game and noodles; having grown accustomed to hard work, refusing meat was simply nonsensical. 0

Luzi enjoyed his meal thoroughly and even imitated Chuchu by wrapping cured meat in wild vegetables. It felt uniquely flavorful, so he quickly rolled one up and offered it to Wang Jian for him to try. After receiving an affirmative response, he encouraged everyone else to taste it as well. Before long, everyone recognized this unique flavor. What Luzi did not know was that these brothers who dined together would scatter upon returning home; many would never meet again after that day. In their future endeavors—regardless of who led them into battle—they would seize any opportunity for their soldiers to go up the mountain and gather wild vegetables to wrap with meat for meals. This way of eating became popular in Military and even spread to civilian life later on. 0

"Whoosh!" 0

Wang Jian reached out and caught an arrow aimed at Luzi's face before he could even sound an alarm when several metallic clinks echoed around them. As Li Xin kicked over a wooden table, he dragged Luzi and Chuchu into a hastily constructed shelter. Fortunately, they were prepared for enemy encounters at any moment; thus supplies were scattered around the camp perimeter. If not for such foresight, their losses would have been far greater now. 0

“Enemy Attack!” The Sentinel perched on the treetop had just shouted the warning when an arrow pierced through, causing it to fall from Above. 0

“Thud! Thud! Thud!” 0

The arrows that entered the camp were blocked by a sturdy wooden table Outside. Luzi looked at the feathered arrow in Wang Jian's hand and laughed, “I thought it was Chunshen Jun’s team coming to our rescue at the inn, but it turns out it was you all along!” 0

Goodness! What time is it? How can you still be thinking about that!? 0

At this moment, Wang Jian couldn't care less about admitting it. He listened carefully to the sounds of Bowstring around him. It seemed the enemy must have infiltrated last night; otherwise, they wouldn't have entered effective range without being detected. While directing everyone to organize their defenses, he pulled out a weapon that resembled a bow but was not quite one. 0

Being well-trained meant that even in a flurry of activity, they quickly regained their composure. With arrows shot back from the besieged camp, the encroaching circle began to expand significantly. Li Xin, sitting behind an upturned cart, looked at the arrows in his hand and suddenly thought someone was showing off in front of a master. Compared to his archery skills, this was simply bullying! 0

Seeing Wang Jian shoot down a person peeking from the trees and then start reloading, he hurriedly asked, “Wang Jian! Do you have a bow? Give it to me!” 0

And indeed, there was one! 0

Wang Jian quickly gestured for Li Xin to look in the wooden box on his left and then loudly confirmed the safety of their surroundings. After learning that only three brothers were injured from the enemy's first wave of attack, he listened for the sound of arrows whistling through the air. Calculating the timing, he raised his hand and shot an arrow. With a buzzing sound from the Bowstring, the target hit fell from the tree. 0

Li Xin couldn’t help but admire that this guy was also quite skilled. He rummaged through the box and indeed found a bow and quiver. Holding the bow with one hand and slinging the quiver on his back, he adjusted the angle before standing up to shoot. 0

“Crack!” The bowstring snapped as Li Xin stood there dumbfounded watching the arrowhead. Archery requires focusing on the arrowhead to determine its direction. But how come it was still in his hand!? 0

Thirteen sat beside him and noticed this guy planning to become a live target; he exclaimed in alarm. Suddenly pushing Li Xin’s knee to bring him down to the ground, he saw several arrows whizzing past Li Xin’s shoulder. 0

“I say, General Li! Can we not play like this!?” Thirteen snatched the broken bow from Li Xin’s hands and tossed it aside. Watching arrows flying overhead from Sentry, he finally couldn’t help but lecture, “Do you have a problem with your brain? Do you think this is your family’s precious sculpture bow!?” 0

The assassin on the outskirts quickly reacted to the strong resistance, adjusting the attack formation to regain the initiative. As arrows were shot, they began to tighten the encirclement once more. Carrying two quivers of arrows on their back, they alternated in providing cover, ensuring success was inevitable. Unless a miracle occurred today, it would be impossible for you to escape! 0
