"Even if we came for war, so what?!" Li Xin huffed heavily through his nose at the sight of the enemies who had laid down their weapons. Since a promise is a promise, he waved reassuringly at Shanxia.
As one wounded soldier after another was carried away, those who had been worried about a trick began to emerge from behind the trees to help. After all, they lived under the same roof, and even if they couldn't name each other, they still recognized one another. Everyone pitched in to carry both the bodies and the wounded down the mountain.

The Captain did not leave immediately; seeing Li Xin getting ready to depart, he suggested setting up an Observation Post at the corner of the broken wall. That position offered an excellent vantage point to monitor enemy movements below the wall when visibility was limited.

Li Xin immediately agreed to this deployment and instructed the replacement team to send someone over. After asking if there were any other adjustments needed and receiving a shake of the head from the Captain, he finally led his team away.
Wei Wujie did not know how the battle on the mountain was going; however, he pondered that sending nearly two hundred men up there should pose no problem! If he couldn't bring back Luzi's head as proof, then it would mean he had jumped off a cliff to commit suicide. Whether or not there was a head to confirm it didn't matter! Once that person was dead, peace would naturally return to the world. Upon returning, he would immediately investigate all domestic Prosperity Companies, seize their assets, and transfer them to the national treasury. As for whether these were Qin People's assets? This young master declared they belonged to Wei Kingdom; thus they were Wei Kingdom's! Li Xin excitedly stepped through the temple door and immediately encountered Luzi rushing over. Thinking Luzi was worried about the situation ahead, he quickly whispered news of their success: The enemy had retreated and likely wouldn't return anytime soon. All fortifications had been repaired and were as strong as ever.
Luzi had not considered these things at all and stopped everyone outside the door. "Brothers! I know you are all very tired right now, but Wei Wujie is about to come up!" After saying this, he looked up at the gray sky. It was oppressive, a certain kind of oppression. Taking a deep breath, he affirmed, "As long as we hold this place, we will be able to await the arrival of Reinforcements. Everyone, go retrieve all weapons and supplies, and prepare to face Wei Wujie in a decisive battle!"
The crowd exchanged glances, suddenly realizing that they had celebrated too early! They had driven back the enemy's vanguard but the main force had not yet arrived!
Li Xin also recognized the seriousness of the situation and waved for his brothers to go to the courtyard to get their gear. Captain merely shook his head slightly upon hearing this answer and then signaled three of his Soldiers to follow everyone to the courtyard for equipment. His plan was clear and beyond doubt; he was willing to stand with General Li against the enemy!
Two Wounded also wanted to join the fight, hoping that the two Officers would agree. Li Xin and Captain exchanged glances and simultaneously denied this request. Due to different angles of injury, both were hurt in their upper bodies. One Wounded had lost his left ring finger from an arrow, while the other had been shot in the left shoulder. Although their injuries seemed minor, they were temporarily unable to draw a bow since those two areas were crucial for pulling back. So they were assigned to protect Luzi, as he wielded his weapon with his right hand.
This nominal protection essentially meant preventing them from going to the front lines! Moreover, there was only one path up the mountain; as long as they held the checkpoint ahead, no enemies would come through. The rear was deep enough that even Fleeting Arrow could not reach them! The two drew their Bronze Swords from their waists, indicating that they were not left-handed. If they could not use ranged weapons, then they would prepare for close combat!
Of course, Li Xin would not agree to this request; a Wounded was still a Wounded, how could they continue fighting!? Just as he was about to say something, he saw both of them bend down and kneel.
"General! As soldiers of the Qin Army, we should be on the front lines; how can we sit idly in the rear waiting!? Our brothers are fighting bravely ahead; we only ask for your consent, and we will have no regrets even in death!"
