Li Xin, who was being restrained, was not affected in his archery. He suddenly recognized the two figures rushing out as Luzi and Ji Xi returning. He quickly provided long-range support, shooting down the enemy soldiers attempting to pursue them. After ensuring their safe return, he pulled out a water pouch from behind and handed it over.
Luzi reached out to take it, uncorked it, and sniffed before passing it to Ji Xi, who was sitting on the ground catching his breath. "This is alcohol! A little will help steady your nerves."
Upon realizing the pouch did not contain water, Ji Xi waved his hand to indicate he did not want to drink it. Luzi did not insist further and took a large swig himself. Just as he was about to wipe his mouth, he suddenly stopped that motion.
Luzi handed the water pouch to Li Xin and then walked to the roadside to wipe the blood from his hands with the accumulated snow. After cleaning his sword and sheathing it, he said, "Young Master Ji! If we continue fighting like this, we might not last until tomorrow before being completely wiped out."
Hearing this familiar warning, Ji Xi nodded in agreement; it seemed that was indeed the case. He shook off the blood from his sword and returned it to its sheath. "What does the general mean...?"
