Taking advantage of the dissipating fog, thirty-seven members of the Qin Army Cavalry followed Luzi to a fork in the road ahead. According to the recently corrected directions, the southward path on their right would lead directly to the Qin Army's camp at Dan Shui River.
The left path, however, extended northwest and would lead for a long distance without encountering any junctions heading southeast. If they chose to go left at this moment, it would be a repeat of the story of going south while heading north.
Luzi looked towards the southern fork, and the Cavalry behind him also halted to pay attention. At this moment, the Soldier brothers had disappeared into the mist, and it was believed that they would successfully return to Dan Shui River Camp in the following days.
“If anyone wishes to return to the main camp with the Soldier brothers, you can leave now and catch up with them!” Luzi glanced at the thirty-seven riders beside him and suddenly decided to give them a choice. This was a battlefield where life could vanish in an instant.

Wei Jingde looked back at his comrades. “I have three sons at home, and I believe they will grow into elite members of our Charioteer Camp in the future. Even if I were to die in battle this time, I would have no regrets in this life. I earnestly request that you allow those who are only children at home to leave!”

The air in the mountains was unusually humid, and clear footprints were visible on the ground. When Zhao Kuo arrived at the junction with the Zhao Cavalry Camp, the distinct footprints and hoofprints presented him with a subjective demand for action.

Ignoring him, Zhao Kuo waved his hand, ordering the entire team to enter the northern fork in the road, then asked, "General Li! If you were the Commander of the Qin Army ahead of us right now, would you choose to ride away or walk?"
The answer was obvious; how could two legs outrun four legs of a warhorse?
The Centurion looked back at the cavalry following him and immediately stated that he would certainly choose to ride. This was because riding might still offer a chance to escape, while walking would provide no opportunity at all.
Receiving the answer, Zhao Kuo smiled and nodded. "General Li! This is the basis for my choice of pursuit direction! It is easy to find thousands of soldiers but hard to find a general. Capturing the Qin Army Commander is equivalent to annihilating ten thousand troops of the Qin Army! In comparison, is it more important to kill a few dozen Qin Army Soldiers or to concentrate our forces on capturing the Qin Army Commander?"
