Cheng Ze and the others were taken aback. Jumping into this black hole was already a reluctant choice, and upon discovering that this black hole was full of tricks and was a sealed-off place, they couldn't help but feel it was strange. After all, such places were indeed rare in this terrifying Underground Palace!
However, no matter what, even if they had escaped the attacks from the Netherfire, they couldn't hide in this black hole forever. After all, there was still the unconscious Ye Feng and many unsolved mysteries. In this black hole, there was no food or water; hiding was not a long-term solution!
But to say they would return the way they came, they were also afraid of encountering that group of Netherfire. Following Huang Yao's suggestion, they temporarily set aside their differences and began to carefully consider ways to survive. However, the issue was that if they couldn't find another safe exit from this black hole,
no matter what, they wouldn't be able to survive. After much discussion, Huang Yao proposed a rather foolish yet previously viable idea: to check if there were any hidden compartments or secret doors around this black hole!
According to his reasoning, this black hole could not have formed naturally. Just based on the mechanisms at the entrance, it was clear that this black hole must have some purpose. Regardless of whether it was used by predecessors to evade the Netherfire or to imprison death row inmates,
since there was an entrance, logically there should be an exit! However, with Cheng Ze's Flame Blade nearly extinguished, they had not discovered any visible exits; it felt like being trapped in a sealed room with only air left!
In desperation, using stones to strike the walls to see if they could find another entrance became a not-so-bad idea; at least it could give them some hope. Thus, within the black hole, the sound of knocking echoed: thud thud thud, thud thud thud!
They initially thought that even if this method didn't lead to any exits, it might at least reveal some secrets about this black hole! But what Cheng Ze and the others never expected was that not only did they fail to find any exits, but they also didn’t discover anything different; instead, it attracted a rumbling sound from above!
The rumbling felt like an earthquake, causing the entire black hole to tremble faintly. Even stones began to fall from above, making them worry about a collapse! The suddenness of the tremor caused Cheng Ze and the others to collapse onto the ground—not because the force of the rumbling was truly that great!
It was simply that such a serene black hole suddenly erupted with such vibrations that it inevitably caused panic! Huang Yao was also frightened and said anxiously, “What’s happening? An earthquake?”
“Impossible! Above the Underground Palace is flat land; an earthquake can't happen!” Cheng Ze quickly rebutted with some knowledge.
Zong Nan scratched his head in confusion as well; they had been knocking away just fine—how could they know such a change would occur?
What nearly drove them to despair was that this tremor wasn't just a one-time occurrence; when the second tremor came, it was even stronger. Countless stones fell from above, forcing everyone to dodge hurriedly in a state of panic! Finally, Huang Yao said tremblingly, “Could it be that we triggered some mechanism just now?”
"Stop it! These are just hard stones; there are no mechanisms. Even if there were, it's not your fault!" Cheng Ze snapped angrily.
Huang Yao, unwilling to back down, frowned and replied, "What does this have to do with me?"
Cheng Ze cursed, "If it weren't for your stupid idea, would we be in this situation?"
Huang Yao was infuriated and had no retort. They hadn't encountered this situation until they started hitting the wall with stones, so he couldn't deny his involvement.
Zong Nan noticed the atmosphere had become tense but didn't know how to mediate. After all, the relationships among them had deteriorated since they first set out. Huang Ge, who had always mocked everyone, had fallen silent; what could he say?
Little did they know that the recent tremors were entirely accidental, originating from over a hundred meters above ground. A strong practitioner at the Late Stage of the Gale Martial Realm had overly sensitive hearing and detected movements beneath the ground, leading to a probing attack.

"Alright, we can't find the exit and can't knock anymore! You all figure it out; I’m done with this!" Cheng Ze planted his Flame Blade into the ground to illuminate his area and decided not to concern himself with anything else. He was already exhausted from excessive fighting and needed rest.
Zong Nan shared Cheng Ze's mindset. Both had exerted themselves heavily in the recent battle. While Huang Yao was anxious to escape, they wanted to take this opportunity to recuperate.
Huang Yao recognized their intentions but felt helpless. Gritting his teeth, he said, "Fine, let's conserve our strength for now. Once you two feel better, we can think of a way out!"
With that, he sat down heavily. Huang Ge beside him wore a cold expression and closed his eyes to meditate again. He had been like this since earlier, giving off a very ominous vibe! Cheng Ze and Zong Nan couldn't help but glance at the two brothers before exchanging looks.
They both sensed the wariness and caution in each other's eyes. Cheng Ze was the first to use Vital Energy to communicate, "These two are too sinister; we can't trust them completely!"
Zong Nan replied similarly, "Yeah! With Ye Feng unconscious right now, if they decide to attack us, we wouldn't stand a chance!" He was genuinely worried about this! Although they were from the same sect, in such a place and situation, even biological brothers could turn against each other; what did that make them?
"This probably won't happen. After all, the situation is unclear, and we are a fighting force for them. Hurting us would bring them no benefit!" Cheng Ze maintained a rational perspective as he analyzed the situation.
Zong Nan expressed his concerns, "What I'm afraid of is that we don't have much food. If we can't last a few days, then Huang Yao is ruthless enough to kill us and..."

"Alright, alright! Stop thinking about that. The urgent matter is to quickly recover our strength! At the very least, we need to be able to protect ourselves!" Cheng Ze replied, unwilling to dwell on it further.
Zong Nan sighed and said nothing more. He looked up and suddenly felt a chill; it seemed that Huang Yao had been watching him the whole time! With a smile on his face, yet still sending chills down one's spine! Fortunately, they were communicating through Vital Energy; otherwise, who knows what would happen if that person overheard them!
"You seem to be quite afraid of me?" Huang Yao said while looking at Cheng Ze and Zong Nan. His tone was casual, making it hard to discern whether it was good or bad.
Such an opening line was already eerie enough, combined with the surrounding atmosphere; even the faint-hearted could crumble. Cheng Ze and Zong Nan managed to muster a forced smile and said, "What do you mean? We are all from the same sect; in life and death situations, there's no question of fear!"
Huang Yao chuckled lightly, "Is that so? Perhaps I am too sensitive. I always feel that your expressions just now resemble those of people from my family back in the day. They were very afraid of me—outwardly flattering me while secretly plotting my demise."
Not understanding why he would bring this up in such a situation, Cheng Ze and Zong Nan could only force smiles while internally cursing a thousand times.
Huang Yao seemed unconcerned by their discomfort and continued speaking to himself, "However, I am still alive and well now. Most of those who wanted me dead have ended up in their coffins."
His words sent cold sweat down Cheng Ze's and Zong Nan's backs. Cheng Ze could no longer tolerate such topics and shouted in anger, "Enough! What do you take us for? Don't assume we're like those people you imagine!" After shouting this out, he felt a bit guilty himself but managed to maintain his imposing demeanor.
Huang Yao paused slightly and offered an apologetic smile, "I didn't mean it that way; Brother Cheng is overthinking!"
Cheng Ze snorted coldly and turned away from him, feeling drenched in sweat from behind! Meanwhile, Huang Yao's gaze shifted to Zong Nan. Although their realms were quite similar, Huang Yao had the advantage due to his Royal Family background and having entered earlier, giving him a slight edge in presence over Zong Nan.
He said lightly, "I sense that Elder Brother seems to have some opinions about me. May I ask you to speak frankly?" Seeing that Cheng Ze was not easy to provoke, he intended to sidestep directly confronting him by targeting Zong Nan instead!
Zong Nan was not good at this, his expression stiff, and the words he spoke were filled with bitterness: "Brother Huang, you flatter me. I regard you with the mindset of a senior. I'm just a newcomer, so why make things difficult for me?"
"No, no, no, I'm not making things difficult for you. It's just that in this black hole, it's hard to see the light. Why not find some topics to chat about? Watching his brother feign conversation with Cheng Ze and the others, he curled his lips into a cold smile, thinking to himself that he was diverting their attention and not allowing them to rest and recuperate without them noticing! You won't die? Who will die?
The air inside the black hole grew increasingly oppressive... Without sunlight illuminating it, each breath felt suffocating like a fog...
