Ye Feng had a faint feeling that what Xuan Lao was about to say was quite risky, but it could definitely be a good solution. However, what this solution entailed needed careful consideration.

Yet, since it is a beast, it ultimately cannot escape the characteristic of being controlled by humans. If you are fortunate enough to subdue this spirit beast, it would be a tremendous stroke of luck!"
"Subdue it?!!!" As expected, Xuan Lao's suggestion was indeed bold. Ye Feng's eyes widened; he had never considered this possibility. It was absurd to think that the Flying Spirit Lion could be controlled like the Puppet Wolf Fang Beast, which could be manipulated with just a Soul Thought!
Considering that powerful Underworld Generals had perished under its claws, Ye Feng believed he lacked the ability to subdue a spirit beast that surpassed him in power.
Since Old Xuan had said this, there must be some reasoning behind it. After pondering for a moment, he continued, "In fact, nothing is impossible in this world. You must imagine that the Sky Lion outside has been subdued and kept here for ten thousand years; why can't you do the same?"
"Xuan Lao, the one who managed to subdue it back then must have been a Powerful Being; how can I compare to them!" Ye Feng said with a bitter smile. This was indeed the truth!
Old Xuan held a different view and quickly added, "That may be true, but you possess something that its former master did not: you are bringing it back to freedom rather than keeping it imprisoned for eons. Moreover, if you hadn't been recognized by the Divine Spear as its master, I wouldn't have thought of this!"
This explanation effectively addressed Ye Feng's confusion. He furrowed his brow and murmured, "Xuan Lao, are you saying that since the Divine Spear recognizes me as its master, then perhaps the spirit beast outside could also accept me?"
"Smart! However, this is merely my speculation; you will need to put it into practice and work hard!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Feng finally understood Xuan Lao's plan. He took a deep breath; if he could truly subdue the Flying Spirit Lion, it would significantly enhance his strength and even directly compensate for the absence of an Underworld General. However, the problem was that he couldn't defeat the Sky Lion and wouldn't even be able to escape under its scrutiny.
Given this situation, how could he possibly think about subduing it? That seemed far too fanciful!
Yet many things must be tried before knowing their outcomes. With this thought in mind, Ye Feng gathered his True Energy and took precautions before slowly approaching the exit.
At the exit, the imposing Flying Spirit Lion was already lazily crouched on the ground, occasionally lifting its head to observe the situation inside. The more relaxed it appeared, the more confident it seemed; it would not let Ye Feng escape easily!
When Ye Feng reappeared at the exit, the Flying Spirit Lion stood up again, blocking his path with an air of invincibility.
"Roar!" This time, it merely let out a low growl, but its eyes radiated intense killing intent as if warning him of something!
Ye Feng certainly understood what that gaze meant: either he should obediently return or leave behind the Divine Spear. Unfortunately for him, he wanted neither option!
"If you truly possess spirituality, you might want to heed my words. The conflict between us is purely an unwarranted disaster. I am simply taking the Divine Spear and leaving, while you, even with your master's orders to guard the spear, are acting rather foolishly in my eyes!"
Ye Feng said calmly. Although he could not defeat the Flying Spirit Lion, it would not be so easy for the lion to deal with him as it did with the Underworld General. Therefore, he intended to test the limits of this spirit beast.
Upon hearing Ye Feng's words, the spirit beast indeed showed signs of anger, growling several times as if it was about to teach the human before it a lesson. However, Ye Feng quickly added, "But I believe that a spirit beast like you must be quite intelligent and would not act like a fool!"
"Let me analyze this for you. Instead of blindly following your master's orders and remaining here for Ten Thousand Years, wouldn't it be better to let me go? You could still report back; although you failed to uphold your master's command, you should have countless excuses to cover for yourself. Even if you end up being reprimanded, it would still be better than staying here, wouldn't it?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Flying Spirit Lion seemed to understand him. Its gaze shifted; the murderous intent faded, and it hesitated. This change gave Ye Feng hope, and he pressed on:
"To take a step back, if you insist on keeping me here, even if you manage to kill me, you'd still have to guard the spear and become a statue for Ten Thousand Years. Is that really such a pleasant experience? Or do you prefer this life of being trapped in darkness?"
Hearing this, the Flying Spirit Lion scratched its head in apparent frustration, as if it had realized its own fate. Clearly, this outcome was not something it desired!
On the surface, Ye Feng appeared calm and unyielding, but inside he was quite anxious. He couldn't be sure whether he could tame this spirit beast; his greatest hope now was to convince it! After all, it was a spirit beast; understanding human language should not be an issue.
However, the problem remained: no one knew who this spirit beast's previous master was—whether it was a remnant of the Underground Palace's creator or the owner of the Divine Spear. If it were the latter, that would be fine since the Divine Spear had already acknowledged Ye Feng. But if it were the former...
The Flying Spirit Lion soon reacted. It took a few steps forward, causing Ye Feng's heart to tighten as he prepared his spear for an attack. He needed to maintain a safe distance from this formidable Sky Lion; otherwise, even he could not guarantee that he could evade its assault!
The Sky-Soaring Spirit Lion merely approached Ye Feng without making any aggressive moves, which eased Ye Feng's tension slightly. However, what happened next completely exceeded his expectations!
A burst of light surrounded the Sky Lion, and suddenly it transformed into a man! This man was strikingly handsome and exuded an aura of authority without anger; his appearance was undeniably imposing!
Ye Feng was taken aback; he had never imagined that this beast could shapeshift! But upon reflection, it wasn't too hard to understand—beasts that reached a certain level of power could transform into human form. Moreover, this spirit beast before him had unfathomable strength!
What puzzled him was why this creature hadn't transformed into human form earlier.
Perhaps there were deeper reasons behind this transformation. After taking human form, the spirit beast spoke first: "Your suggestion is quite appealing; I've considered it before. However, your tone irritates me. Are you planning to take me out and make me acknowledge you as my master?"
With a sideways glance and a slightly raised corner of his mouth, the Lion revealed an unparalleled pride, embodying the untamed spirit even after transforming!
However, Ye Feng was overjoyed upon hearing this, for the other party's somewhat arrogant words hinted at a possibility! He quickly replied, "I wouldn't dare! I never thought I could become your master, nor do I have that qualification. If possible, I would even like to be friends with you!"
"Well, that sounds quite pleasant to hear, but unfortunately, I still cannot let you go!" The man shook his head regretfully.
Ye Feng furrowed his brows, feeling somewhat confused. Clearly, he had the same intention; why couldn't they reach an agreement?
"Our Sky Lion clan has existed since ancient times. There are very few humans capable of taming our kind. I was chosen by an Exalted One from Ancient Times. After helping him in battles for many years, I was placed here to guard this place. Although this job is not great,"
"at least it offers some freedom. I no longer have to heed his call to fight and kill. I can sleep for a thousand years or more, and it will pass in no time. But now, you seem to want to take away what I am guarding. Have you considered how I should report this?"
His calm words did not reveal any good or bad intentions; they seemed more like a request for Ye Feng's opinion.
Ye Feng was taken aback. He had thought about this issue before, but his previous thoughts were merely superficial; he hadn't delved deeply into it. Now that this Lion had raised the question, he had to reconsider!
"To speak frankly, your so-called master probably no longer exists in this world. Do you know that our world is the Divine Martial Continent? There are many strong individuals in the Divine Martial Continent, but none who could be considered your master!"
"So even if you leave this Underground Palace, as long as you don't return to your original world, you won't face any punishment!" After pondering for a long time, Ye Feng finally spoke earnestly.
Upon hearing this, the man was momentarily stunned, his eyes flashing with light as if deep in thought. During this time, Ye Feng felt a pang of anxiety until the man finally responded.

Ye Feng frowned, sensing that what the other party was about to say would likely be unfavorable to him. Nevertheless, he cautiously replied, "I do not know; may I ask you to speak plainly?"
The man smiled and without any pretense said, "Why should I make things easy for you? Let you take away what I'm guarding and then bear the blame myself? Is it that all humans are so selfish?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Feng fell silent. Perhaps this was indeed what the other party needed to consider; clearly capable of keeping Ye Feng, it seemed unnecessary for him to let him go and then bear the consequences alone!
An unsolvable problem arose, and Ye Feng had not responded for a long time. The man simply stared at him, his expression calm, yet it created an oppressive atmosphere. If the former could not provide a better answer, then a battle was inevitable!
"If you don't want to talk to me, there's no need to take form; you could just leave me be. But since you've done this, you must be willing to reach some sort of agreement with me. Just tell me what I need to say for you to let me go!"
Ye Feng thought for a long time and finally realized the man's true intention. The other party was not trying to make things difficult for him but needed some useful affirmation from him—at least a way to help this guy regain his freedom without facing punishment!
Upon hearing this, the man laughed heartily: "Finally, you're not too foolish. Indeed, I do intend to reach an agreement with you, but it also depends on whether you have the capability!?"
Ye Feng's face showed bitterness; as Xuan Lao had said, to fool this Sky Lion required a sharper mind. It seemed that verbal persuasion had failed, and ultimately, he would have to demonstrate his strength!
"I admit that I can't defeat you, but if you insist on keeping me here, there will be a price to pay!"
Ye Feng glared fiercely, finally deciding not to continue this awkward conversation! He raised his spear and shot directly at the man!
"Swift Shadow Strike!" With the command given, the Shattering Immortal Spear transformed into countless rapidly spinning afterimages. The afterimages glimmered sharply as they struck like an assassin's attack—swift and unseen! They rushed toward the man!
Perhaps from the very beginning, Ye Feng intended to take the opportunity to escape rather than persuade!
