"Alright, alright, I won't say anything more!" Chen Haoxuan said helplessly. He didn't expect Chen Yina to be so steadfast in her feelings for him, willing to give up their sibling bond for love.
"This is what you said yourself; I didn't force you. From now on, you can't call me your sister," Chen Yina replied happily. If Chen Haoxuan no longer regarded her as a sister and they lived together, wouldn't that be like what couples do?

Today, he bought many small tools, including some chemical supplies. Chen Haoxuan planned to carve an Ice Mountain Snow Lotus from a piece of translucent Water Stone.
The next day, when Ma Yichen received the gift that Chen Haoxuan prepared for him, he was astonished. He had never seen such a beautiful lotus flower before, especially one that was translucent. The lotus was white, and the box contained black sponge material with faint lighting at the bottom, making the lotus even more stunning. Ma Yichen excitedly said to Chen Haoxuan, "Chen Haoxuan, where did you pick this lotus? It's so beautiful! I've never seen a translucent lotus like this before!"
"Feel it gently; remember to be careful or you'll damage it, and that would be your loss," Chen Haoxuan said with a mysterious smile. He knew how well he had carved it; the lotus looked so realistic that it was normal for Ma Yichen not to recognize it.
Ma Yichen lightly touched the lotus in the box and was surprised to find that it was hard and icy cold. He looked up at Chen Haoxuan with astonishment and said, "Wow! This is carved from stone! It's so lifelike! Where did you buy it? I want to get some for my family."
"You can't buy it outside because I carved it myself. This Stone Carved Lotus can be considered a piece of art; if sold, it could fetch at least one hundred thousand Renminbi. You give me one hundred thousand Renminbi to teach you how to woo girls; that's a good deal, right?" Chen Haoxuan laughed.
Ma Yichen set down the box containing the Stone Carved Lotus and excitedly grasped Chen Haoxuan's hand. "That's not a loss at all! Just for this Stone Carved Lotus alone, even if you asked for one hundred thousand Renminbi, I would buy it. I believe Zhang Benin will be thrilled when he sees this Stone Carved Lotus; who knows, he might even pledge himself to me out of excitement!"
Hearing Ma Yichen's words sparked an idea in Chen Haoxuan's mind. He thought to himself, "Right! Why didn't I think of that? My hands are so skillful; I can carve even more artistically valuable sculptures to sell! Just like Ma Yichen just said, he'd be willing to pay one hundred thousand Renminbi."
Chen Haoxuan made up his mind; he would return to Chen Family Village in the afternoon and ask Chen Yuebin to help him acquire some beautifully colored stones.
At around 9 o'clock, Ma Yichen took Chen Haoxuan to find Zhang Beining. Chen Haoxuan, like yesterday, hid at a distance, observing Ma Yichen and Zhang Beining. He wanted to join them but was worried about stealing Ma Yichen's spotlight. After thinking it over, he decided against it; if Zhang Beining developed a good impression of him, Ma Yichen would surely compete with him.
Ma Yichen entered Class Four of the Third Year Arts Department. He approached Zhang Beining and handed her the box he was holding, smiling as he said, "This is a gift for you. I hope you like it. Remember, wait until I'm gone before you open it." Ma Yichen was still being mysterious like yesterday; this was something Chen Haoxuan had taught him. Acting this way might make girls feel that he was unique. As long as he stood out, he would leave a deeper impression on them.
"Ma Yichen, you've been acting strange these past couple of days!" Zhang Beining looked up at him curiously.
"You'll find out later," Ma Yichen replied with a mysterious smile before turning and leaving. He exited the classroom and immediately ran to the opposite classroom where Chen Haoxuan was waiting with two binoculars. He wanted to see Zhang Beining's reaction when she opened the gift.
Breathless, Ma Yichen reached Chen Haoxuan's side and anxiously asked, "What’s happening? Has she opened it yet?"
Chen Haoxuan handed Ma Yichen one of the binoculars and said, "Not yet!"
Meanwhile, Zhang Beining eagerly opened the box that Ma Yichen had given her. The box was quite large, and she believed the gift inside would be equally impressive. When she opened it, she first saw a bright light and then clearly discerned what was inside. She excitedly covered her mouth with her hands and thought joyfully, "What a beautiful lotus!"
The classmates sitting next to Zhang Beining exclaimed upon seeing the lotus in the box, "Wow! What a gorgeous lotus!"
After Chen Haoxuan's careful carving and repeated polishing, combined with liquid paraffin and the black sponge inside the box along with the small lamp at the bottom for contrast, how could it not be beautiful? Chen Haoxuan had a great sense of pairing; using black sponge made the Stone Carved Lotus appear pure and untainted from mud. Additionally, by installing a small lamp at the bottom of the box, the lotus looked even more beautiful than an ice mountain snow lotus, radiating a sacred aura.
Zhang Beining leaned closer to the lotus resting on her desk and took a deep breath. She caught a faint floral scent that enchanted her; she loved this beautiful lotus and felt so happy.
At that moment, someone said, "Even the most beautiful flower will wilt someday."
"Yes! Even the most beautiful flower will wilt someday. What a pity; if only this lotus's beauty could last forever," Zhang Beining thought sadly.
A girl next to Zhang Beining spoke up, "Zhang Benin, this lotus flower of yours is translucent. We've never seen this variety before. Is it made of plastic?" Nowadays, many people like to use plastic flowers because they never wilt and always look beautiful. That's why Zhang Beining's classmates doubted whether this lotus flower was made of plastic; after all, they had never heard of a translucent lotus.
"Really? This lotus looks so real to me, and it even has a floral scent!" Zhang Beining said, but she still reached out to touch the lotus flower. Upon touching it, she realized that it was a stone carving, not a real lotus.
