"I understand, you all hurry and escape!" Lin Hao said to Chen Yina and the others.
Chen Yina and the others bent down and ran to the back door. Li Jun said to Chen Yina, "Nana, wait a moment. Let me check if there are any enemies outside first."
Li Jun peered through the crack of the door and saw the situation outside. He noticed two thugs patrolling back and forth.
"This is bad, there are two thugs patrolling outside," Li Jun said anxiously to Chen Yina and the others.
"Nana, here's what I think. You and I will distract those two thugs while you take advantage of the chaos to escape. It's not far from here to your school; I suggest you take the back road to get there. Once you're at school, you'll be safe," Li Botao proposed.
"No, if we leave, we all leave together. If you don't go, I won't go either," Chen Yina insisted firmly.
"Nana, you should know that those people outside are looking for you. If you stay here, they will break in no matter what. If you leave, they might just leave as well," Li Jun explained.
"Then I'll run to New City University to get help," Chen Yina said, clenching her fist tightly.
"No need for that. Lin Hao has already informed Boss about what's happening here. Boss is smart; he will handle it," Li Jun replied. They didn't know the relationship between those thugs and Chen Haoxuan, nor did they know if Chen Haoxuan wanted the police to be involved. If he wanted police assistance, he would report it himself without them worrying about it.
Li Jun gently opened the back door and whispered to Nana, "Nana, when I count to three, you quickly run out, okay? As for those two thugs outside, we will handle them."
"Okay," Chen Yina nodded seriously.
"One, two, three, go!" Li Jun suddenly swung open the back door. As soon as it opened, Chen Yina sprinted out with all her might while Li Jun and Li Botao lunged at the two thugs outside.
The two thugs on patrol saw Chen Yina suddenly running out from behind the house and immediately shouted loudly, "Help! Chen Yina is behind the house!" The back door of Chen Haoxuan's residence was very discreet; its color matched that of the wall. If one didn't look closely, it was hard to notice that there was another door behind the house. This back door was installed by Chen Haoxuan for emergencies so he could escape if necessary. His residence used to be a warehouse; the builders had reinforced all the windows with iron bars to prevent theft; otherwise, those shady characters would have broken in.
Hearing his subordinate's voice, Black Heart cursed loudly, "Damn it! There's no door at the back of the house; are they climbing out of the windows?"
"Mosquito, you stay here with a few brothers while I take the others to catch Chen Yina," Black Heart said to Mosquito.
"Big brother, don't worry! I guarantee that by the time you come back, I'll already be inside this house," Mosquito arrogantly pointed at Chen Haoxuan's residence.
"Everyone except Mosquito's crew, follow me," Black Heart waved his hand and led a dozen of his subordinates toward the back of the house.
At that moment, Chen Haoxuan had already arrived. As soon as he parked his car, he quickly ran out. He charged toward Mosquito and his group, feeling very upset. He didn't care whether Black Heart had captured Chen Yina; he just wanted to deal with the thugs in front of him first.
Hearing the sound of the car brakes, Mosquito turned around and saw Chen Haoxuan rushing toward them. He immediately shouted excitedly, "Chen Haoxuan is here! Quick—catch him alive!"
Mosquito's subordinates yelled and charged at Chen Haoxuan. As they clashed, Chen Haoxuan fought fiercely, landing punches on vital areas of his enemies. His dagger continuously slashed at their wrists and legs, leaving anyone he hit unable to stand.
Inside the house, Lin Hao heard Mosquito's voice and cautiously stood up. Seeing Chen Haoxuan fighting several thugs outside, he quickly ran to the door, moved the sofa blocking it aside, opened the door, and rushed out to support Chen Haoxuan.
Seeing Lin Hao come out, Chen Haoxuan anxiously asked, "Lin Hao, where's Nana?"
While fighting off enemies, Lin Hao replied to Chen Haoxuan, "Li Jun and Li Botao took her out through the back door."
"We need to find her," Chen Haoxuan said.
Chen Haoxuan and Lin Hao quickly ran toward the back of the house. Mosquito watched their retreating figures and shouted angrily, "Chase them! Catch them! I want to teach them a lesson!" Four of Mosquito's subordinates had been taken down by Chen Haoxuan; they were either knocked out or injured by his dagger.
When Chen Haoxuan and Lin Hao reached the back of the house, they saw Black Heart and his crew leaving down a small path while Li Jun and others were being pinned down by four thugs who were preparing to tie them up with ropes.
Chen Haoxuan and Lin Hao rushed over just as one thug stood up to stop Chen Haoxuan from getting closer. As Chen Haoxuan sprinted forward, he pushed off the ground with his foot and leaped into the air. With a loud thud, he kicked the thug who had just stood up, sending him flying backward for five meters before he finally stopped. The thug struggled to get up but failed; with a forceful effort, he spat out blood before collapsing unconscious on the ground.
While kicking a thug away, Chen Haoxuan quickly grabbed the neck of another thug who was pinning Li Jun to the ground and dragged him backward. He pulled the thug to a wooden board placed on the ground, placed the thug's hand on the board, and raised his right hand before bringing it down forcefully.
"Ah—!" The thug let out a miserable scream as Chen Haoxuan pinned his hand to the board with a dagger.
Chen Haoxuan did not pull out the dagger; instead, he turned to help Lin Hao deal with the other two thugs.
As he fought, Chen Haoxuan asked Li Jun, "Where's Nana? Why isn't she here?"
"Nana ran to school through that shortcut. Those guys just went after her. Boss, you three go save Nana first! I've got this covered," Li Jun replied.
Mosquito had brought three of his underlings to chase after them. Chen Haoxuan was not afraid of them, but he didn't have time to waste, so he told Li Jun and the others, "Don't worry about them; just follow me."
They turned and ran toward the small path behind the house while Mosquito and his gang pursued them relentlessly. Li Jun and his companions were former soldiers, so they were certainly stronger than average people. Although Chen Haoxuan's physical condition was poor, his eagerness to save others inadvertently triggered his potential.
After five minutes of running, Chen Haoxuan caught up with Black Heart's gang. Black Heart was thrilled to see Chen Haoxuan chasing after them; with him around, there was no need to go through the trouble of capturing Chen Yina.
"Stop chasing! Chen Haoxuan is right behind us. If we catch him, we can live like rich men," Black Heart shouted to his underlings.
