"I don't know, but they look like they're here for a vacation," Chen Xiumin said sweetly.
At that moment, Xu Muqing brought her tour group to Chen Haoxuan. Since Chen Haoxuan and Chen Xiumin were sitting on a large rock, the tourists could only look up at them. From this angle, they felt that Chen Haoxuan and his companion were extraordinary, leading them to believe that they must be either wealthy or noble.
"Hello, I am the tour guide from Danshan Tourist Area. These are my tourists. We were attracted by your Flute Sound because it is so beautiful. We wanted to come and see you; you wouldn't mind, would you?" Xu Muqing said to Chen Haoxuan.
Chen Haoxuan smiled wryly and replied, "I don't mind, but I feel a bit awkward with you all staring at me. It feels like I'm a monkey in a zoo being observed."
"Sir, you're really humorous! How could we possibly treat you like a monkey? We see you as a prince charming and the girl beside you as Snow White," Xu Muqing joked.
"Hehe... you got it wrong; she's not my girlfriend, she's just a friend," Chen Haoxuan explained.
Chen Xiumin's playful spirit was ignited as she sweetly asked the people below, "Do you believe him?"
All the tourists, including guide Xu Muqing, shook their heads in unison and said, "No." They thought that if they weren't a couple, why would they be wearing matching outfits?
"Well, believe what you want! I've gotten used to being misunderstood," Chen Haoxuan said with a bitter smile. He felt strange himself; every time he encountered a girl, he would be misunderstood. The first time he interacted with Zhou Kexin, he was misinterpreted by He Haoming. The second time he helped Ma Yichen, Meilin Huang confessed her feelings to him, leading to misunderstandings among all the students and teachers...
"You must be here for fun too, right? Why don't we all go together?" Xu Muqing suggested to Chen Haoxuan and his friend. This area was mostly rural, and the villagers did not possess the same aura as Chen Haoxuan and his companion, so she assumed they were here for leisure as well.
"We're from Chen Family Village, so it's not exactly a vacation; it's more like getting some fresh air," Chen Haoxuan replied with a smile.
"Chen Family Village? I've been there! Your village still retains quite a few ancient buildings. But I've never heard of any wealthy families in Chen Family Village! Oh, I get it now; you're here visiting relatives and temporarily staying at your family's place, right?" Xu Muqing deduced.
"Guess what, sister? You got it wrong! We are from Chen Family Village, always have been," Chen Xiumin said proudly.
"No way! Can you tell me your names?" Xu Muqing asked, genuinely puzzled as she couldn't recall anyone from Chen Family Village named Chen Haoxuan.
"My name is Chen Haoxuan, and she is Chen Xiumin. We both have the surname Chen, so you should believe that we are from Chen Family Village," Chen Haoxuan replied with a smile.
"Can I take a photo with you?" a tourist asked Chen Haoxuan and the others.
"Then you'll have to ask this lovely girl beside me," Chen Haoxuan joked.
"Of course! But you need to make sure I look good in the picture," Chen Xiumin said with a sweet smile.
The sound of cameras clicking filled the air as each tourist climbed onto the large rocks to take pictures with Chen Haoxuan and the others. They then requested individual photos with them. Xu Muqing couldn't resist either and pulled Chen Haoxuan for a picture by the riverbank.
Chen Haoxuan quickly became familiar with the tourists, and since many wanted to see the ancient architecture of Chen Family Village, he generously invited them all to dinner.
Neither Chen Haoxuan nor Xu Muqing was very familiar with Chen Family Village, so the tour guide was changed. Chen Xiumin took on this important responsibility. She acted like a professional guide, leading the tourists around Chen Family Village and introducing each ancient building they encountered. Chen Haoxuan listened intently; he had never heard of the history that Chen Xiumin was sharing. Now, he realized that Chen Family Village used to be quite prosperous.
The ancient architecture of Chen Family Village and the large Banyan Tree were two major attractions. The tourists enjoyed the scenery of Chen Family Village, though it was unclear whether they liked the scenery more or if they were drawn to Chen Haoxuan and Chen Xiumin.
"Up ahead is Brother Xuan's house," Chen Xiumin pointed out, speaking sweetly to the tourists.
Xu Muqing turned to Chen Haoxuan and said, "Mr. Chen, there are too many of us; it's not convenient. I think I should take them back to the restaurant in Danshan Tourist Area for dinner!"
"It's okay, my house is quite big and can accommodate them," Chen Haoxuan said with a smile. With his villa, not to mention just over twenty tourists, even a thousand people could fit in, although it might be a bit cramped.
When Chen Xiumin brought the tourists to the front of Chen Haoxuan's villa, all the tourists were stunned. They were all city dwellers and had seen many types of houses, but they had never seen a villa like this one. They couldn't believe that such a luxurious villa existed in a remote little mountain village. None of them could afford to live in a place like this; even if they pooled all their money together, they still couldn't afford such luxury.
"This is my Brother Xuan's villa. What do you think? Isn't it beautiful?" Chen Xiumin said proudly, as if the villa belonged to her.
"Is this really your villa?" Xu Muqing asked Chen Haoxuan in surprise. Xu Muqing had come to Chen Family Village a year ago to learn about its history and scenery. She had visited the village many times and heard about its past, so she knew there weren't any large buildings there, let alone such a luxurious villa. After not visiting for a year, seeing such an extravagant villa was truly astonishing.
"Do I not look like someone who lives in a villa?" Chen Haoxuan joked.
Xu Muqing was afraid that Chen Haoxuan might misunderstand her, so she quickly waved her hands and explained, "No, no, that's not what I meant! I'm just surprised. I came to your village a year ago, and there wasn't this villa then. I hadn't heard of anyone in Chen Family Village being so wealthy, so... that's why I'm so surprised—it's hard to believe!"
"Hahaha... you're really funny! Come on in and have a seat!" Chen Haoxuan said.
Chen Haoxuan led the tourists into the villa, and they couldn't help but exclaim in awe: "Wow, there's even security! Wow, there are patrols! Wow, what a high-end residence! If I could live here, I would die without regrets..."
In the living room, Chen Haoxuan loudly addressed the tourists: "Everyone make yourselves at home; treat it like your own house!"
