After eating, Zhou Jingqi took him to their recording location. The director of the Talent Show wanted Chen Haoxuan to perform in front of him so he could understand how to coordinate with him.
Chen Haoxuan briefly explained his program, mainly focusing on working with the sound engineer. He did not showcase his performance in front of the Talent Show director since he could only perform once.
In the building where Chen Haoxuan was located, on the other side was the resting area for contestants. Meilin Huang and her aunt were there. Seeing so many people participating in the competition made Meilin both nervous and excited. She sat on a chair against the wall with her aunt, watching others practice singing, dancing, and acrobatics. She thought to herself that among all these people, she was the only one performing piano; would she be able to make it through?
As time slowly passed, it finally reached 8 PM. Zhou Jingqi and Zhao Hai appeared on the Talent Show stage to start introducing the contestants.
Contestants typically had performances lasting around ten to twenty minutes; if someone performed poorly for just one minute, they would be eliminated. Meilin Huang felt incredibly nervous in the contestant waiting room. Her aunt sat beside her and noticed her anxious expression. She encouraged her, saying, "Meilin, don't be nervous; it's okay. Your piano skills are excellent; you'll definitely pass."
"Auntie, last time when Brother Xuan and I performed at New City University, there were thousands of people watching us—more than here—but I don't know why I felt so nervous," Meilin Huang said while gripping her aunt's hand tightly.
"Because last time Chen Haoxuan was there with you, but this time you're alone, so you're feeling anxious. Just think of those audience members as if you're practicing at home," Huang Xueyan smiled and said. In truth, she was just saying that; if she were to perform herself, she might be even more nervous than Meilin Huang.
Meilin Huang was arranged to perform in the middle. Zhou Jingqi held the microphone and loudly addressed the audience below: "Next up is our sister Meilin Huang! She is the youngest contestant in this competition and also one of the cutest and prettiest. Let's welcome sister Meilin Huang to shine on stage!"
Meilin Huang walked out from backstage wearing a white dress, a gift from Chen Haoxuan.
"Hello everyone, Sister Qiqi, Brother Hai, and esteemed judges," Meilin Huang greeted everyone politely as she stepped onto the stage.
Zhou Jingqi approached Meilin Huang with a microphone and smiled, "Meilin, seeing you so calm, have you performed on a bigger stage before?"
"No, but I did perform once at New City University with Brother Xuan; there were several thousand people then," Meilin Huang replied honestly.
"It seems you were quite happy when you mentioned Brother Xuan. Can you tell us who your Brother Xuan is?" Zhao Hai asked with a feigned curious expression.
"He is the so-called genius, Chen Haoxuan," Meilin Huang declared loudly. When she spoke about Chen Haoxuan, she seemed to lose her nervousness, as if he had given her magical strength from somewhere unseen.
"Is he the billionaire Chen Haoxuan from New City?" Zhou Jingqi pretended to be surprised.
The audience and judges below expressed their astonishment. To perform alongside a genius like Chen Haoxuan meant this girl must possess extraordinary talent herself.
"Yes, he has many titles: business genius Chen Haoxuan, internet genius Chen Haoxuan, music genius Chen Haoxuan, dance genius Chen Haoxuan, sculpting genius Chen Haoxuan. Recently, he added another title: martial arts genius Chen Haoxuan. While these names are impressive, I don't like them because I feel they only express one of Brother Xuan's talents. So I call him the all-round genius because he can do everything," Meilin Huang said excitedly.
"Do you really believe your Brother Xuan can do anything?" Zhou Jingqi asked.
Meilin Huang nodded vigorously and replied, "Yes, it's true! Brother Xuan is really amazing; he can do everything. He even knows beauty treatments! I asked him before, and he said that as long as he has support and time, he could create another Earth." This was a joke Chen Haoxuan had made with Meilin Huang before, but she seemed to have taken it seriously.
The people present displayed strange expressions; they wondered if Chen Haoxuan could really create another Earth. Wouldn't that make him a god of creation?
In a luxurious room, Chen Haoxuan was watching the Talent Show when he couldn't help but spit out the red wine he hadn't swallowed yet upon hearing Meilin Huang's words. He exclaimed, "You've got me in trouble, girl! If I were really that amazing, would I be living such a miserable life now?"
"My goodness! If even Earth can be created, we should start calling him a god," Zhou Jingqi laughed. She didn't believe Meilin Huang's words; neither did anyone else present. Although they didn't believe her, they had to admit that they were startled by what she said.
"Alright, Sister Meilin, there's not much time left. Can you perform now?" Zhao Hai smiled at Meilin Huang.
"Okay," Meilin Huang replied sweetly.
Meilin Huang walked over to the piano that had already been placed in the center of the stage and sat down. She placed her hands on the piano keys and began to play without any accompaniment. As her fingers moved, a melodious sound filled the air.
Many people became enchanted by this unfamiliar piano piece, lost in its beauty. The delightful music made them forget their troubles and sorrows, leaving only the enchanting sound in their hearts.
At first, Meilin Huang played slowly, producing elegant notes, but as she continued, her speed increased. The joyful sounds of the piano made it impossible for listeners not to sway along with the rhythm.
With a swift motion, Meilin Huang's right hand swept across the piano keys from beginning to end.
The applause erupted continuously; many audience members stood up to clap, and even the judges rose to their feet in recognition of Meilin Huang's performance.
