Hua Lingwei turned around, pouting and angrily said to Chen Haoxuan, "Look, every time I get close to you, people misunderstand."
Chen Haoxuan shrugged his shoulders and replied helplessly, "It's not my fault. I didn't do anything. It's your teacher who misunderstood. If you want to blame someone, blame your teacher for not being well-informed. They don't even know I have a girlfriend."
"I think it's better if we don't get too close," Hua Lingwei still worried about being misunderstood.
"If I'm not afraid, why should you be? Come on, let's go back," Chen Haoxuan said as he took Hua Lingwei's hand and started walking.
"Hey, let go of my hand! If Nana and the others see us, they'll get jealous," Hua Lingwei shouted nervously.
"They'll get jealous? I'll explain it to them," Chen Haoxuan said lightly. Holding Hua Lingwei's hand felt very natural to him; perhaps because he had touched her chest and slept on her thigh before, holding her hand didn't seem like a big deal.
As Chen Haoxuan continued to hold her hand and walk, Hua Lingwei secretly thought how nice it would be if he held her hand and walked with her for a lifetime! Unfortunately, Chen Haoxuan was already someone else's. In fact, Hua Lingwei felt quite resentful towards herself. When Chen Haoxuan wasn't with Chen Yina yet, she already had feelings for him. "Nana," Chen Haoxuan called out as he stood behind Chen Yina while holding Hua Lingwei's hand. He saw Chen Yina sitting on the grass playing computer games with Zhou Kexin.
Upon hearing Chen Haoxuan's call, Chen Yina immediately turned around. When she saw him holding Hua Lingwei's hand, she was initially surprised, but her expression quickly returned to normal. She smiled at Chen Haoxuan and said, "Brother Xuan, did you call me for something?"
"Well, you should have noticed that Vivi has been deliberately avoiding me every time we meet. I got curious and pulled her aside to talk in the back garden for a bit. It turns out she's afraid you guys would misunderstand, which is why she doesn't dare to get too close to me. As real friends, it's normal to hold hands or put an arm around each other! Nana shouldn't mind that, right?" Chen Haoxuan said to Chen Yina.
"Of course I don't mind! Because I trust my boyfriend. Even if you have something going on with her, I wouldn't care because I've heard that if you truly love someone, you love all of them," Chen Yina said with a sweet smile.
Chen Haoxuan turned to the shy Hua Lingwei and said, "Vivi, look how understanding my girlfriend is! So you don't need to worry about anything, just act like before."
"Oh." Hua Lingwei replied. She could tell that what Chen Yina had just said was true, and she admired Chen Yina's sacrifice. If you truly love someone, you love all of them. She understood this meaning, but she couldn't do it; she couldn't even love her rival.
At that moment, Zhou Kexin interjected, "Vivi, I think you should learn from me. Look at me, I'm not afraid of Nana misunderstanding things; it's normal for friends to be a bit closer."
"Learn from you? You want me to learn how to be Chen Haoxuan's mistress? I'm not as great as you!" Hua Lingwei thought to herself.
Since that day when Chen Haoxuan alleviated Hua Lingwei's concerns, she no longer deliberately avoided him as before. Instead, she became very clingy to Chen Haoxuan, to the point where he found it a bit overwhelming. Wherever Chen Haoxuan went, Hua Lingwei was sure to follow—whether he was out for tea, dining, singing karaoke, or going to nightclubs... Hua Lingwei would basically tag along. Not just her; even Zhou Kexin would follow him wherever he went.
Unlike Zhou Kexin and Hua Lingwei, Chen Yina remained as studious as ever. She knew that Zhou Kexin and Hua Lingwei were always around Chen Haoxuan, but she didn't mind. She trusted him; no matter how many women were around him, she believed he would still love her, and that was enough for her.
During this time, Chen Haoxuan hadn't gone back home; he spent every day on campus—attending classes during the day and playing basketball or soccer... At night, he would visit various entertainment venues, all of which Yang Lin took him to. Because of this, Zhou Kexin and the others often scolded Yang Lin for leading Chen Haoxuan astray. Yang Lin felt wronged because it was Chen Haoxuan who asked him to take him out.
Zhu Tian had not appeared at New City University since Chen Haoxuan returned. To Zhu Tian, New City University was not a place for studying but rather a place for flirting, showing off, and making money. His biggest enemy was at New City University; how could he dare return? He would never forget what Chen Haoxuan had said to him before: "Every time I see you, I want to hit you."
With someone managing his career and beautiful women accompanying him daily, his life could easily be described as living like a deity.
On the night of November 19th, Chen Haoxuan received a phone call from Jiang Xianghan. She invited him over for dinner and asked for his help with something. Thinking there might be something important she needed assistance with, he told Zhou Kexin and the others to enjoy themselves while he drove alone to Jiang Xianghan's home.
Chen Haoxuan had never been to Jiang Xianghan's house before; he followed the directions she had given him earlier. She lived in a very ordinary high-rise building on the rooftop. There was no elevator in this building, so he had to climb up step by step.
Chen Haoxuan climbed to the eighth floor and finally arrived at Jiang Xianghan's home. Fortunately, he was not the same as before; if it had been the old him, climbing eight flights of stairs would have left him gasping for breath.
Ding ding ding... Chen Haoxuan pressed the doorbell several times, and soon the door opened. Jiang Xianghan was wearing a semi-transparent shirt and very short denim shorts, a rather sexy outfit. "You’re here! Come in!" she said, pulling Chen Haoxuan inside.
As Chen Haoxuan entered Jiang Xianghan's home, he felt like he had stepped into a fairy tale. Her house was filled with cute decorations: a pink carpet, a sponge sofa, enormous stuffed animals, and wind chimes hanging from the ceiling and outside. Whenever the wind blew, all the wind chimes would produce a pleasant sound.
"Sister Han, your home is really unique! Even the television has a pair of golden boys and jade girls embracing it. Where did you buy such a TV? I want to get one for Nana," Chen Haoxuan said to Jiang Xianghan.
"Most of these things were made by people from the Clothing Factory, so you can't find them outside," Jiang Xianghan replied.
