"Ruyan, you seem so nervous about Chen Haoxuan. You don't have a crush on him, do you?" Wang Fuyou said with a hint of jealousy.
"No," Shen Ruyan replied.
"Then why are you taking the initiative to get close to him? That's not like you," Ye Hongfei remarked.
"If you had talent like his, I would also take the initiative to get close to you. Don't forget what my family does. Chen Haoxuan is so smart; I'm just trying to secure a talent for my father. Is that wrong?" Shen Ruyan said angrily.
"Then why not just tell him who you are? He might agree right away if he's excited. Why go through the trouble of getting close to him and winning his favor? Aren't you afraid of developing feelings for him over time?" Gong Sun Xuan said calmly. He spoke rarely, but when he did, his words were always insightful.
