"I'm sorry, I've already left the amusement park. Maybe next time! Just treat me to a meal next time," Chen Haoxuan said with a smile.
He sent Han Fenghua back and then stayed in the Fashion Boutique, chatting with Jiang Xianghan and having dinner together. By evening, Chen Haoxuan wanted to stay overnight at Jiang Xianghan's house.
However, he initially had other intentions, but at 11 PM, he received a strange phone call. A voice on the line pleaded for help: "Chen Haoxuan, I know it's you. Please, you have to save me! I'm being chased by a group of thugs who want to harm me. Please help me..."

"My name is Abel. I transferred here from the United States. I'm on a mountain not far from New City University. Please come quickly... Ah... No, they've found me!" The voice on the phone was filled with panic.
Chen Haoxuan recognized this girl. She wasn't as beautiful as Chen Yina or as well-endowed as Han Yuanchan, but her outfits were always eye-catching. She wore very little fabric, which made her appear quite sexy; even Chen Haoxuan thought so.
Although he didn't know how Abel got his phone number, Chen Haoxuan felt compelled to help her, regardless of whether it was a trap.
Ever since many transfer students arrived in New City, he had a nagging sense of foreboding. He felt that every new student could potentially cause him to lose something significant—be it life, money, skills, or knowledge. To verify his intuition, he decided to take the risk.
Chen Haoxuan quickly ran down the stairs and drove his BMW toward New City University. Along the way, he ran several red lights, causing traffic jams on several streets. The drivers stuck in traffic cursed him for rushing to an early grave; Chen Haoxuan hadn't anticipated inciting such anger.
Despite causing some traffic congestion, fortunately, there were no accidents. He parked his car at the entrance of New City University and called Abel again. The call connected quickly: "Chen Haoxuan, I'm on the third mountain to the right of New City University. Hurry! Unless it's absolutely necessary, don't call again! I was hiding well until you called; now they’ve discovered me! I have to run—hurry!"
Chen Haoxuan sprinted toward the third mountain on the right of New City University. As he ran, he wondered why Abel had gone there. The bustling areas of New City were on the left; there were hardly any shops on the right side. This puzzled him—he wouldn't understand why Abel was being chased by thugs up there unless he found her.
Finally reaching the mountain Abel mentioned, he took a deep breath and quickly ran toward the summit. Upon reaching the top, he found no one there and looked toward other mountains. Suddenly, he spotted a light on a mountain across from him; he was sure it was coming from a phone. He dashed toward that mountain without hesitation.
As it was nighttime, Chen Haoxuan turned off his flashlight to avoid alarming anyone as he ran towards the opposite side, relying solely on his instincts and the faint light of the night to move forward.
Along the way, Chen Haoxuan was pricked numerous times by thorny plants, with over ten thorns embedded in his flesh. He remained silent and did not turn on the flashlight. After climbing down from one mountain and ascending another for a short while, he heard several ruffians laughing lewdly: "Come on, everyone! Let's catch her and have some fun."
"Help! Help!" At that moment, Abel was perched high in a giant Pine Tree, continuously shouting for help while kicking at the ruffians trying to climb up to grab her.
Upon hearing this, Chen Haoxuan did not quicken his pace towards Abel; instead, he bent down and moved forward slowly.
Before long, Chen Haoxuan spotted Abel. He saw her sitting in the tree while seven ruffians were desperately trying to climb up, only to be kicked down by Abel each time.
Seeing that Abel was safe for the moment, Chen Haoxuan felt relieved. He turned on his flashlight and began to approach her location step by step.
The ruffians heard the rustling sound approaching them, and one of them shouted loudly, "Who’s there? Come out, or I’ll chop you up!"
"Boss, look over there! There’s someone!" One of the ruffians noticed the light not far away and shouted excitedly.
"Monkey, Slim Monkey, you two go check it out." Although it was pitch dark outside, this command was clear to Monkey and his companion because of the bright light shining in the dim moonlight.
As Monkey and his companion approached Chen Haoxuan, he suddenly lunged at them like a tiger pouncing on its prey.
With two cries of surprise, Monkey and his companion fell to the ground. After dealing with the two ruffians, Chen Haoxuan continued moving forward. When he was close to Abel's Pine Tree, he shone his flashlight on the group of ruffians and clearly saw their faces. "Do you want me to take you down and send you to the police station, or will you just get lost now?" Chen Haoxuan said coldly to the group.
"Are you trying to scare us? We still have five people here. I see you're quite a tough guy; how about this: let’s all enjoy this foreign girl together?" The speaker was a bald man who was clearly the leader of the group.
"Chen Haoxuan, Chen Haoxuan, I'm here, help me!" Abel shouted loudly to Chen Haoxuan from the Pine Tree.
Chen Haoxuan ignored Abel and said again to the group of thugs, "I'll say it once more, this is your last chance. If you don't get lost, I'll take you down."
The bald man was not intimidated by Chen Haoxuan's words; after all, those who lived by the streets were not easily scared. However, he was frightened by Abel's words. Chen Haoxuan was quite famous around New City University. He had made his little gang chase off Matsukawa Ichiro and his crew without a care for their reputation. Such a person was both admired and feared by them.
