Number Two now realized that he was no match for Chen Haoxuan. If this continued, he would surely be dragged down by Chen Haoxuan and captured by the police.
After pushing Chen Haoxuan away, Number Two suddenly let go of the left side of the window, and his body quickly descended. Upon seeing Number Two's actions, Chen Haoxuan understood that Number Two was trying to escape, so he also let go and followed Number Two downwards.
Ma Xiong Jian and the others were still in the elevator going down! Many onlookers had gathered downstairs, watching from a distance because Chen Haoxuan and Number Two were fighting in mid-air, causing many objects to fall. If anyone got too close, they could easily be struck by something falling from above.
As they saw Chen Haoxuan and Number Two continuously falling, the onlookers below were all nervously watching them. As they neared the ground, Number Two began to grab at the windows repeatedly, using this to slow his descent. In contrast, Chen Haoxuan did not do this; instead, he aimed downward and kicked off from the edge of a window, propelling himself towards Number Two like a rocket.
With a loud thud, Chen Haoxuan's fist struck Number Two's face with such force that it tore through the cloth covering his face. Now that Chen Haoxuan was further from the wall, he had no leverage to push off from. Instead, he wrapped his right arm around Number Two's neck and forcefully twisted him outward while he remained inside. Suddenly, he released his grip and pushed against Number Two's back with both hands. This caused Number Two to lurch forward without anything to grab onto.
Chen Haoxuan used the momentum from pushing Number Two to successfully catch hold of a fifth-floor window, then gradually lowered himself down.
Number Two knew his own physical strength; Chen Haoxuan's powerful push had significantly reduced his falling speed. Now at the fifth floor, given his current descent rate, it felt like he was jumping from the sixth floor. With his robust physique, if he landed feet first, he might survive unless he landed headfirst. At that moment, he wished there was someone below him! That way, he could crush that person and escape. However, all the onlookers were standing far away.
Landing feet first might allow him to live but could leave him crippled and captured by Chen Haoxuan. This was unacceptable; even if he were willing to take that risk, Abel and the others would do everything possible to eliminate him. So now his only option was death—either landing headfirst or biting his tongue to end it all. Ultimately, he decided on landing headfirst, bending his body to forcefully change his falling position in mid-air.
Seeing Number Two's actions made Chen Haoxuan feel utterly frustrated. After finally discovering someone who intended to assassinate him, now that person was being driven to suicide while he had learned nothing.
With a loud crash, Number Two met the ground but seemed unwelcome as it turned him into a pile of mush.
Chen Haoxuan landed safely but found his clothes tattered and several bruises on his handsome face from being struck by Number Two. It was unclear whether Number Two had targeted Chen Haoxuan's face out of jealousy for looking better than him.
Chen Haoxuan did not approach to check on Number Two's condition, as the person had turned into a pile of mush; how could they still be alive?
Chen Haoxuan wanted to go back, but after taking a few steps, he encountered Ma Xiong Jian. Upon seeing Chen Haoxuan, Ma Xiong Jian immediately asked anxiously, "Mr. Chen, what about the assassin?"
Chen Haoxuan pointed to Number Two's corpse and said, "Fell from upstairs and died."
"Mr. Chen, due to the seriousness of this incident, we will need you to accompany us to the police station shortly. We will take your statement and let you go right after," Ma Xiong Jian politely informed Chen Haoxuan. He had known that Chen Haoxuan was impressive before, but today he realized that Chen Haoxuan was not just impressive; he was extraordinary.
Chen Haoxuan replied, "My clothes are too damaged, so I would like to go change into a new outfit first before heading to the police station. How about this? Please arrange for someone to take me back and then directly to the police station."
"Alright," Ma Xiong Jian said, calling his best friend in the police force to pick up Chen Haoxuan.
Chen Haoxuan was driven home by Ma Xiong Jian's friend, Xiao Wang, in a police car. After changing his clothes, Chen Haoxuan immediately followed Xiao Wang back to the crime scene.
Li De and his team were still investigating clues. With nothing else to do for the moment, Chen Haoxuan opened his laptop and launched a drawing software he had created himself. Having seen Number Two, he wanted to draw their likeness in hopes of uncovering useful information.
As Chen Haoxuan recalled Number Two's appearance, his hands moved rapidly over the keyboard. By the time Li De finished handling matters and got into the police car where Chen Haoxuan was seated, Chen Haoxuan had already sketched out Number Two's likeness and was in the process of researching their identity.
"Haoxuan, are you alright?" Li De asked with concern.
"I'm fine. Let me show you something; this is what the assassin looked like," Chen Haoxuan turned his laptop towards Li De and said.
"Impressive as always, Chen Haoxuan. You can remember someone's appearance after just one glance and even draw it out," Li De praised him.
"Can you find out his information?" Chen Haoxuan said.
"Okay, I'll have someone check it as soon as I get back. By the way, were these assassins sent to kill you?" Li De asked.
Chen Haoxuan nodded and replied, "Yes, they are all here to kill me. Not long ago, they almost got me; I was shot more than ten times. Fortunately, my body is strong; otherwise, there would be no Chen Haoxuan in this world anymore. As for what happened today, it was like this: I was just leaving the school gate when a tall and rough man suddenly pushed me aside. I cursed him under my breath, saying he was in a hurry to reincarnate! Little did I know I was right; he was mistakenly killed by those who wanted to kill me."
"Haoxuan, how could you not call the police after such a big incident?" Li De exclaimed in surprise. He didn't expect the case to be so serious, with attempts on Chen Haoxuan's life happening twice.
"They are assassins, killers. They operate very secretly and don't follow any code of ethics; as long as they can kill their target, they will do anything. Plus, they are very skilled killers, so having you police protect me wouldn't be of much use unless you send experts to guard me," Chen Haoxuan said.
"Experts? We want experts too, but everyone in our police force is just an ordinary person. How about you come join our police force as a trainer sometime?" Li De said, shifting the topic.
