"Big sister, it's not me who's imagining things! It's them!" Chen Haoxuan pointed at the sulking Wang Fuyou and the others.
Shen Ruyan released Chen Haoxuan's ear, placed her left hand on her hip, and with her right hand elegantly pointed at Wang Fuyou and the others, scolding, "You all just know how to think wildly all day long. You're so foolish."
Chen Haoxuan stood next to Shen Ruyan, grinning as he said to Wang Fuyou and the others, "See? Shen Ruyan is even advising you not to think too much. Have some compassion and stop misunderstanding me."
"Shen Ruyan doesn't like you; who would believe that?" This was what Wang Fuyou and the others thought in their hearts.
Chen Haoxuan turned to Shen Ruyan and said, "Shen Ruyan, I think you should communicate with them properly. Every time you get close to me, they suspect that there's something going on between us. I don't know if they like you too much or if their thoughts are impure. I still need to go to class, so please take your time teaching them. Thanks, bye."
After Chen Haoxuan left, Shen Ruyan seriously addressed Wang Fuyou and the others, "Tell me, do you have any misunderstandings about him?"
"Defending him like that while saying you don't like him? Even a pig wouldn't believe it." This was what Wang Fuyou and the others thought in their hearts.
"Ruyan, take a look for yourself." Wang Fuyou handed his phone to Shen Ruyan.
Shen Ruyan took Wang Fuyou's phone and when she saw the photo on it, she immediately understood what was going on. She had to admit that the people in the photo really looked like a couple. "Who took this?" Shen Ruyan asked curiously.
"I don't know; the person who posted it did so anonymously," Wang Fuyou replied.
"I do have feelings for Chen Haoxuan, but that was me seeking him out. I didn't realize I made that gesture. Don't misunderstand it or spread rumors. If I find out that you are spreading rumors everywhere, I'll cut ties with you," Shen Ruyan said seriously to Wang Fuyou and the others.
"Ruyan, we believe you," they replied.
"If there's nothing else, go play! I want to be alone here for a while," Shen Ruyan dismissed them.
They left with sadness, their intuition telling them that Shen Ruyan had feelings for Chen Haoxuan.
Ma Yichen was sitting on a bench by a small path on campus, next to his girlfriend Zhang Beining. The two were enjoying the feeling of being in love.
Wang Fuyou and his friends were in a bad mood, so Ye Hongfei suggested going to a bar for drinks. As they left the campus, they passed by where Ma Yichen was sitting.
Wang Fuyou knew Ma Yichen, and they had a decent relationship since they were both from wealthy families and often saw each other at parties. Upon seeing Ma Yichen, he shouted, "Ant, it's great to see you!" Ant was the nickname Wang Fuyou and his friends gave to Ma Yichen; the first two characters of his name sound like "ant" in Chinese, hence the nickname.
"Hello, Wang Fuyou!" Ma Yichen smiled and greeted them. He recognized Gong Sun Xuan and Ye Hongfei as well, having met them at parties, though not as closely as he did with Wang Fuyou.
"I really envy you two, always together," Wang Fuyou said enviously.
"You know how long I've been chasing Zhang Beining. What’s up? You guys don’t look too good; did Ru Yan say something again?" Ma Yichen asked with a smile.
"You guessed it," Wang Fuyou replied with a hint of grievance.
"Come on, tell me what happened," Ma Yichen said curiously. He had always been interested in the story of Wang Fuyou and his friends pursuing a girl because their pursuit of Shen Ruyan had been quite eventful, especially due to their rival, whom they had made suffer greatly.
Wang Fuyou shared their story with Ma Yichen, who burst into laughter after hearing it. "Hahaha... you guys are hilarious! Your rival is actually Chen Haoxuan? Hahaha... this is too funny! Let me tell you, don’t keep misunderstanding things like this; otherwise, Shen Ruyan might really become Chen Haoxuan's girlfriend, and then you’ll regret it."
"Let me tell you! Chen Haoxuan is definitely a genius when it comes to girls; there’s no girl he can’t charm. I learned some tips from him that helped me get together with my dear Zhang Beining. If you want to pursue Shen Ruyan, I suggest you make friends with Chen Haoxuan and let him help you strategize your pursuit of her. In that case, Shen Ruyan will surely end up with one of you. I have a good relationship with him; if you want to ask him for guidance, I can introduce you."
"We threw tear gas into his room before; do you think he would want to be friends with us after that?" Wang Fuyou expressed his concerns. Chen Haoxuan was known as Casanova; no one doubted it because he had so many admirers.
"As long as you’re not trying to kill him and offer him some benefits, I think he would agree," Ma Yichen said.
"Benefits? That’s no problem! As long as he can help me win over Shen Ruyan, I’d give him ten million Renminbi without hesitation," Wang Fuyou boasted.
Ye Hongfei interjected, "You tell Chen Haoxuan that as long as he helps me pursue Shen Ruyan, whenever someone troubles him in the future, our Qingye Gang will have thousands of people to help him out."
"Tell Chen Haoxuan that if he helps me pursue Shen Ruyan, I will ensure his business runs smoothly," Gong Sun Xuan said.
"The investment isn't small! I'll go find him at noon and give you guys an update in the afternoon," Ma Yichen smiled at Wang Fuyou and the others.
"Thank you," Wang Fuyou tightly grasped Ma Yichen's hand.
After Wang Fuyou and the others left Ma Yichen, Gong Sun Xuan suddenly said, "Oh no! My stomach feels uncomfortable; it seems I ate something bad last night. You two go drink; I won't be joining." He quickly ran toward the male dormitory.
"Gong Sun Xuan isn't going, so it will be boring with just the two of us! I think we should go another day. I'll call my dad and ask him to transfer ten million Renminbi to me," Wang Fuyou said.
"You go ahead! I'll take a walk by myself," Ye Hongfei replied.
After Wang Fuyou left, Ye Hongfei muttered to himself, "Do they think I'm foolish? After being together for so long, do they really think I don't know their personalities? They go to find Chen Haoxuan; hmph, I'll go find Yang Lin. Yang Lin is not only Chen Haoxuan's subordinate but also a good friend of his. Ma Yichen made a phone call to Chen Haoxuan, arranging to meet him for lunch at the school cafeteria.
