Yang Lin called Chen Haoxuan to ask where he was. Chen Haoxuan told Yang Lin that he was at the Photo Studio in front of New City University.
After knowing where Chen Haoxuan was, Yang Lin went with Ye Hongfei to find him.
When they arrived at the Photo Studio, they saw Chen Haoxuan sitting at a table next to the studio, holding some papers and looking at something.
Ye Hongfei spotted Wang Fuyou and Gong Sun Xuan and understood why they were there. He nudged Yang Lin, signaling him to say something nice to Chen Haoxuan on his behalf.
Yang Lin walked over to Chen Haoxuan, but before he could speak, Chen Haoxuan asked him, "Did Ye Hongfei send you to say nice things for him? If so, there's no need. Just let him tell me what benefits he can offer. If I'm satisfied, I'll agree."
"He said if you help him pursue Shen Ruyan, he will be there for you whenever you encounter trouble. His Qingye Gang has thousands of members who can help you," Yang Lin said, feeling a rush of excitement at the thought of having such a large group of tough guys at his disposal.
"I'll agree. Have him come over to sign the contract!" Chen Haoxuan wrote down what Ye Hongfei promised on the contract and handed it to Yang Lin. He had prepared this in advance since Wang Fuyou and the others had been together all day, and it was expected that Ye Hongfei would come along.
Ye Hongfei took the contract and sat next to Wang Fuyou. He noticed that Wang Fuyou and the others also had identical contracts in their hands and curiously asked them, "Why are you signing this contract too?"
Wang Fuyou rolled his eyes at Ye Hongfei and replied, "You're only allowed to pursue Shen Ruyan? We can't? Hurry up and sign! Once we all sign, we can learn how to pick up girls together."
"Ugh... why are they still with him? Oh heavens! Why don't you just get rid of them? Then Shen Ruyan would be mine," Ye Hongfei thought to himself.
After Wang Fuyou and the others signed the contracts, Chen Haoxuan collected them and said to Wang Fuyou and the others, "Let's go! To my place. We need to discuss this Shen Ruyan person."
Chen Haoxuan led Wang Fuyou and the others to his residence, with Yang Lin tagging along for fun, eager to learn a few tricks since it was free.
Upon arriving at Chen Haoxuan's place, he told Wang Fuyou and the others, "Stay close to me; otherwise, if you get lost, I won't be responsible."
"Hahaha... we're not kids; how could we possibly get lost?" Wang Fuyou and the others laughed.
Chen Haoxuan pushed open the big door, revealing a small door in front of Wang Fuyou and the others. Yang Lin leaned closer to Chen Haoxuan, excitedly asking, "Haoxuan, is this the formation you mentioned?"
"Yes, this is the formation," Chen Haoxuan replied.
Chen Haoxuan opened the small door and stepped inside, with Yang Lin quickly following him. Chen Haoxuan walked slowly, worried that Wang Fuyou and the others might not keep up.
Once inside, Wang Fuyou and the others felt as if they had entered a strange world. There were doors everywhere, and every place looked the same, making it impossible for anyone to tell directions.
"Haoxuan, this formation is amazing! I can't tell east from west anymore. Honestly, I really want to see if I can find my way out of this formation by myself," Yang Lin said excitedly.
"That’s no problem!" Chen Haoxuan said as he suddenly pushed Yang Lin.
"Ah?? Haoxuan, how could you do that?" Yang Lin looked around at the numerous small doors, feeling helpless.
Yang Lin kept pushing through doors. He felt he had walked a long way, but he just couldn't find a way out. He knew the size of Chen Haoxuan's residence; given the distance he had just walked, it would be enough to reach New City University.
"What a magical formation!" Since Yang Lin couldn't get out, he decided to study the formation created by Chen Haoxuan. He used items on him to mark his path in hopes of finding a way out.
Chen Haoxuan had already brought Wang Fuyou and the others into the room. Ye Hongfei noticed that Yang Lin hadn't come out of that strange door world yet and couldn't help but ask Chen Haoxuan, "Chen Haoxuan, your formation isn't dangerous, is it? You know Yang Lin is still in there!"
"Don't worry; he'll be fine. If you don't believe me, take a look for yourselves," Chen Haoxuan said while pointing at the computer nearby.
Wang Fuyou and the others walked over to see the computer screen showing Yang Lin's figure. They watched as Yang Lin continuously pushed through doors, often turning around several times in one spot. A few times he almost managed to exit the formation but couldn't push open the door. So he tried other doors, which caused Yang Lin to fall back into the formation again.
Wang Fuyou and the others found it very strange; they couldn't understand why sometimes the same door could be pushed open while at other times it couldn't.
Gong Sun Xuan had read books like The Art of War and understood what formations were like. However, he had never seen a formation like Chen Haoxuan's because Chen Haoxuan's formation was alive and could change, while ancient formations were static.
"Why can the door pushed by Chen Haoxuan and Yang Lin sometimes be opened and sometimes not?" Gong Sun Xuan curiously asked Chen Haoxuan.
"Because I designed a little device that constantly controls each door. So, some doors can be opened at first, but then quickly cannot. That's the little device causing the trouble," Chen Haoxuan explained.
"Can Yang Lin still come out?" Ye Hongfei asked.
"I designed this formation; I don't want him to come out. He will never be able to come out for his entire life. But if I want him to come out, he can immediately. Do you believe it?" Chen Haoxuan said with a smile.
"Not really," Wang Fuyou replied.
"Just watch," Chen Haoxuan said as he sat down in front of the computer and entered a series of strange data. After pressing the enter key, a series of clicking sounds followed, and one door after another opened, transforming Yang Lin's position into a passageway.
Yang Lin was shocked as he looked at Chen Haoxuan and the others not far ahead. He blurted out, "This formation is really amazing! The area is so small, but once inside, it feels endless, like you could walk forever without reaching the end."
"Stop flattering me and hurry up and come out. Otherwise, I'll activate the formation again and make you stay inside for a lifetime," Chen Haoxuan jokingly scolded Yang Lin.
Hearing Chen Haoxuan's words, Yang Lin quickly ran out of the formation. As soon as he came out, the formation instantly returned to its original state.
