When Zhu Ying introduced Chen Haoxuan to the Hacker Experts in the base, all the hackers looked up to Chen Haoxuan. This group of Hacker Experts had attempted to attack Chen Haoxuan's website for over a year without success. Yet, Chen Haoxuan managed to breach his own site in just five days, and now he could do it in just one or two hours. How could they not admire him? However, if they knew that Li Si standing before them was actually Chen Haoxuan, they would likely lose that admiration.
Chen Haoxuan indeed taught those Hacker Experts how to breach his own website, but he had one condition: anyone who wanted to learn his techniques had to help him pursue Black Rose; otherwise, he wouldn't teach them. This made Black Rose even more certain that Chen Haoxuan would not betray the base. However, she felt scared and even fearful of his pursuit, sometimes experiencing a hint of sweetness—an overall very conflicted feeling.
Chen Haoxuan had everything planned out. He taught those Hacker Experts how to breach his own website and then let them try it out, which thrilled them. Breaching Chen Haoxuan's website had been their dream for over a year, and they never expected it to actually happen. The Hacker Experts were ecstatic, but the internet users who frequented the Qianfo Stone Pagoda Website were not pleased; they found themselves unable to access the site intermittently.
This situation continued for two days, but on the third day, it ceased entirely. This was because Li Mingmei, who managed the Qianfo Stone Pagoda Website, upgraded it using methods taught by Chen Haoxuan and within a timeframe he specified.
The Hacker Experts in the underground base rushed to find Chen Haoxuan again, eager for him to teach them how to breach the Qianfo Stone Pagoda Website once more. They lamented that while they had breached the site, they hadn't managed to obtain its data. If they had succeeded, they could have replicated a site as powerful as the Thousand Buddha Stone Pagoda and even learned techniques to create stronger viruses to steal wealth.
Chen Haoxuan took action again but this time kept a low profile. He pretended to attack the Qianfo Stone Pagoda Website for a whole day and night before telling others that he couldn't breach it unless given six months' time.
No one doubted Chen Haoxuan's words because the Qianfo Stone Pagoda Website was one of the highest-level sites in the world. Thus, Chen Haoxuan settled down; his work became relatively easy. Whenever those hackers encountered difficulties, he would lend a hand while also teaching them his techniques.
Outside of work, Chen Haoxuan either played with beautiful girls on the island or thought of various ways to pursue Black Rose. He was quite bold; there were only two helicopters and several speedboats at the base, all heavily guarded and off-limits to ordinary people. However, Chen Haoxuan devised a plan to trick the guards away and then boarded one of the helicopters. He flew it to the roof of Black Rose's wooden cabin. Hearing the helicopter above her roof startled Black Rose; she grabbed a Desert Eagle and rushed out, ready to shoot anyone daring enough to land a helicopter on her roof.
When Black Rose saw the sky filled with red rose petals, she momentarily froze—so beautiful! It would have been perfect if not for the sound of the helicopter. Fortunately, though, it was thanks to the helicopter that the wind kept the rose petals swirling in the air.
Once he controlled the helicopter well, Chen Haoxuan scattered handfuls of red rose petals downwards so that Black Rose below saw nothing but red petals filling the sky. After all the petals fell, Chen Haoxuan dropped down a long piece of cloth with words written on it: "On the day you fall in love with me, you will be a beautiful and charming red rose."
Seeing what was written on the cloth made Black Rose blush; however, her dark skin made it hard to notice unless one looked closely.
Before long, Chen Haoxuan was caught by guards watching over the helicopter; he surrendered willingly. Initially facing execution for stealing a helicopter, Black Rose saw that instead of fleeing after stealing it, he had flown it onto her roof and scattered rose petals from above. This made her feel both love and hate towards Chen Haoxuan. She loved that he dared to steal a helicopter for her and fly it onto her roof—something no one else dared do except her father; everyone else in the base feared her, including her brother. Yet she hated him for being so reckless and defying her orders.
Chen Haoxuan dared to steal a helicopter to confess his love for her, creating a romantic scene that made her feel the sweetness of being loved.
Although he could avoid the death penalty, he could not escape the punishment of being tied to a coconut tree by the sea, without food or water, enduring this for two days. Tied up by the sea, he was exposed to the sun during the day and buffeted by strong winds at night. Most people would be half-dead after two days, but Chen Haoxuan showed no signs of distress; his skin remained fair and he looked as spirited as ever.
The person responsible for base security asked Chen Haoxuan why he seemed unaffected, but he stubbornly refused to answer no matter how many questions were asked. However, when Black Rose inquired, Chen Haoxuan revealed everything, giving her the respect she deserved. Upon hearing his explanation, Black Rose realized that Chen Haoxuan had used a magic rope commonly employed by acrobatic troupes, allowing him to tie himself up and untie himself at will.
Once released, Chen Haoxuan began pursuing Black Rose with various methods. One of his most outrageous acts involved dismantling five wooden huts to build a large wooden hall by the sea, which was completely empty inside. He told others that this would be the venue for his wedding with Black Rose in the future. When Black Rose learned of this, she did not punish Chen Haoxuan but instead had the hall he painstakingly built torn down.
The island where Black Rose and her companions lived was beautiful but quite dull, lacking anything new or exciting. However, ever since Chen Haoxuan arrived, the entire island transformed into a lively place because he consistently brought new ideas to pursue Black Rose. Zhu Ying became almost like Chen Haoxuan's personal shopper, as Chen Haoxuan had him buy all sorts of strange items every day.
At first, Black Rose would scold Chen Haoxuan harshly or teach him a lesson, but despite this, he remained undeterred in his pursuit of her. Eventually, she simply chose to ignore him.
It took Chen Haoxuan half a month to reach this level of indifference from Black Rose. Once he felt he had received some return on his efforts, the people at Corporate Base no longer doubted him. Thus, Chen Haoxuan began secretly investigating Corporate Base's affairs with the intent to destroy it once and for all.
