Chen Haoxuan's body was so strong that he found it hard to believe that such a small amount of alcohol could get him drunk. Before he even got into the drinking mood, Yeh Hsiao-Nuo had already collapsed on the table, unconscious.
There were no other women present except for Yeh Hsiao-Nuo, just a group of men. Chen Haoxuan was worried about letting someone else take Yeh Hsiao-Nuo home, fearing that someone might take advantage of her drunken state. So, he decided to take her back himself. After bringing Yeh Hsiao-Nuo back, Chen Haoxuan went to check on his other businesses in New City. Although the people he collaborated with were trustworthy, it didn't mean they would do their jobs well, so Chen Haoxuan needed to see if there were any mistakes.
At Omni Mobile Group, which was so large that even Chen Haoxuan was surprised, he spent several hours exploring but still hadn't finished. He realized that it would take at least a day to thoroughly visit the entire mobile group. As evening approached, Chen Haoxuan felt he had seen enough and called Zhang Tianqi to understand the situation at Omni Mobile Group.
After learning about the All-Purpose Phone from Zhang Tianqi and feeling satisfied, Chen Haoxuan left with his two bodyguards. However, when the car he was in reached the entrance of Omni Group Headquarters, a woman stopped them. She was wearing jeans and a green casual outfit, with a designer bag slung over her shoulder. She stood in the middle of the entrance to All-Purpose Phone Headquarters with her arms outstretched, looking determined.
The bodyguard driving stopped the car and said to Chen Haoxuan without turning around, "Boss, there's a woman blocking the way." Professional bodyguards never look back because turning around to talk could be dangerous; if there’s no one in front, it’s fine.
"Xiaodou, go check what’s going on," Chen Haoxuan called to the bodyguard sitting in the passenger seat.
The bodyguard named Xiaodou got out of the car and shouted at the woman blocking their path, "Hey, why are you stopping our car?"
The woman shouted back, "Chen Haoxuan, come out."
Chen Haoxuan was taken aback; her voice sounded somewhat familiar but he couldn't place it right away. He opened the car door and walked toward the woman. As he got closer and saw her face clearly, he coldly said to her, "Leah, if you're here for business, I'm welcome to talk. But if you want to cling to me, I'm sorry; I don't have time for games."
"Chen Haoxuan, I know I'm being pathetic by clinging to you and making you dislike me. But what can I do? My longing for you drives me to find you. Do you know? You left for two years, and during this time I've been changing myself because I know all the girls related to you are Chinese. I thought you only liked Chinese girls. To make you like me, I learned about your culture. I dyed my golden hair black and wore special contact lenses so my eyes would match yours. I've done all this just to ask for a chance from you. Can you give me one?" Leah's voice carried a tone of sorrow and desperation.
Leah's Mandarin was indeed very standard now; combined with her current appearance, if she hadn’t mentioned she was from the United States, even Chen Haoxuan might not have recognized her as a foreigner.
People are alike; the more unattainable something is, the more they desire it. Initially, she just wanted to play with Chen Haoxuan, but after being rejected multiple times by him, she went mad. No one treated her like that; she refused to accept it and sought revenge by trying to make Chen Haoxuan fall in love with her. But she failed again when Chen Haoxuan suddenly disappeared. She waited until one day while watching a TV drama when the female lead said: "To know who you truly love, think about who occupies your thoughts most often; if you're constantly thinking about one person, then that person is your deepest love."
Because of this line, Leah realized she had hopelessly fallen in love with Chen Haoxuan. Although she waited a long time for him, she found it romantic—waiting two years only to see him again after such a long time felt special. Alas, watching too many dramas can make one foolish.
Chen Haoxuan turned around and waved at Xiaodou saying, "Xiaodou, let's go."
Back inside the car, he told the driver: "Drive on; let’s see if she's impatient enough." Chen Haoxuan knew Leah wasn't very brave; thus he deliberately instructed his bodyguard to drive forward thinking that when the car almost hit Leah, she would surely be scared and step aside quickly.
Leah was afraid of being hit, but to suppress her fear, she chose to close her eyes and love.
With a screech, the car stopped. The bodyguard driving had a grim expression as he turned to Chen Haoxuan and said, “Boss, she won’t move. What should we do?”
“Damn it, if she wants to die, why come here to do it?” Chen Haoxuan cursed as he got out of the car.
Chen Haoxuan walked up to Leah, grabbed her waist with both hands, lifted her up, and carried her away like that. He kept his arms straight while lifting her because he didn’t want Leah to touch his body.
Seeing Chen Haoxuan carrying her, Leah panicked and shouted, “Ah... what are you doing? Put me down!”
Chen Haoxuan carried Leah into the security room at the entrance. He set her down inside and then stepped out, closing the door behind him. He told the security guard at the door, “Don’t let her out until I leave, understood?”
This was Chen Haoxuan, their great Genius Boss. His words were like an imperial decree; they dared not disobey. One of the guards excitedly replied to Chen Haoxuan, “Boss, don’t worry. We won’t let her out until you’re gone.”
Inside the security room, Leah kept banging on the door, shouting, “Chen Haoxuan, Chen Haoxuan, let me out! Chen Haoxuan, don’t go! Let me out…”
After Chen Haoxuan drove away, the guards finally let Leah out. She emerged with tears streaming down her face. A dignified young lady was chasing after a man, and repeated failures had nearly shattered her fragile heart.
Many people knew that Leah liked Chen Haoxuan, even her family was aware. Instead of stopping her, they encouraged her to pursue him actively and promised to support her in any way needed.
In a prominent family like Leah's, it is difficult to grow without strong partners. Thus, her family hoped to leverage Chen Haoxuan's strength to lead their family towards greatness.
With her family's support, Leah felt even more convinced that her choice was right. She had secretly vowed to win Chen Haoxuan’s love.
Meanwhile, Chen Haoxuan returned to Chen Family Village. He would continue visiting other businesses the next day. That’s just how he was; if he did something, he aimed for the best.
Back at Chen Family Village, after having dinner and chatting with Chen Yina and others for a while, Chen Haoxuan went to rest.
The next morning, Chen Haoxuan woke up early. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to sleep; it was just that the noise from Lin Hao and others training was too loud for him to rest. Unable to sleep anymore felt like self-torture, so he got up, brushed his teeth and washed his face before heading to the rooftop to practice Tai Chi, followed by breakfast.
After breakfast, Chen Haoxuan took two bodyguards with him again. This time accompanying him were Jiang Xianghan and others who wanted to stay with him but feared what others might say. So they firmly decided to return to New City.
Upon arriving at New City, they parted ways with Chen Haoxuan and returned to their respective homes. Chen Haoxuan, unaware of the reason, instructed his driver to stop the car and turned to Xiaodou, who was sitting in the passenger seat. "Xiaodou, get out and bring the person from the fifth car behind us. If they refuse to come, you can be forceful."
Chen Haoxuan had long suspected that someone was following him, and he wanted to see who had the audacity to do so.
Xiaodou got out of the car and soon returned with two individuals at Chen Haoxuan's window: a middle-aged man and Leah, whom Chen Haoxuan feared.
"Hi, Chen Haoxuan, good morning!" Leah greeted him cheerfully, showing no shame for her stalking behavior.
Chen Haoxuan rolled down the window and coldly addressed Leah, "Do you think your Flying Group is so powerful that I wouldn't dare to do anything to you? Let me make this clear: I don't take your Flying Group seriously at all. Don't push me; otherwise, I'll ensure your Flying Group goes bankrupt within a week. If I fail to do so, I'll give you all my assets."
Leah's face turned pale. Having lived a carefree life, the thought of her family's Flying Group collapsing terrified her. She knew Chen Haoxuan's capabilities; five of the top ten billionaires in the world were his partners, along with many other major corporations that collaborated with him. If Chen Haoxuan truly wanted her Flying Group to fail, he could undoubtedly make it happen.
Leah collapsed on the ground, crying as she pleaded, "Chen Haoxuan, why do you hate me so much? You won't even give me a chance to love you. Can you tell me why?" Her tears were genuine and filled with sadness; even Chen Haoxuan's bodyguard felt sympathy for her.
"Boss, maybe we should just let it go," one of Chen Haoxuan's bodyguards suggested. He thought that if Leah loved him, he would surely be moved by her feelings.
"You are not allowed to bother me again or pressure me; otherwise, your family will suffer devastating losses because of you," Chen Haoxuan coldly warned Leah.
